Is he going for 1950s or 1970s look? Me and mister Taytoface are at odds.

No need to pigeonhole his style, it’s his own.

Definitely northern soul. I want to see him dance! here is an example,

Yeay to Stephen on strictly next year?

Londonnight · 25/01/2026 18:50

70's. It's the era I grew up in and well remember the fashion. The men had much longer hair though.

Silverbirchleaf · 25/01/2026 18:46

I was thinking forties (apart from fab jumpsuit, and then that’s 21040s).

Davros · 25/01/2026 18:43

Oh, and also Space 1999, also 1970s

PinterandPirandello · 24/01/2026 21:44

Yes, Northern Soul 70’s

I AM old enough! Northern Soul is 70s, I used to go to all nighters at the 100 Club (which still happen). I wonder if the all-in-ones are a newer incarnation of NS

Mainly 70's. 70's fashion went through a 1920's revival so that's in there too. He looks incredible and great to see a guy confident to be playful with fashion choices.
There was lots of nice clothes among the contestants and Claudia this year :)

Yes, I agree with this. I've never seen the 1970s Great Gatsby film with Robert Redford but I remember it got a lot of coverage in the press and that may have been one of the influences.

Yes Jack reminded me of Aha :)!

Yes that’s it!

the80sweregreat · 24/01/2026 16:11

I liked Jack’s look as it reminded me of a young George Michael with his hair and demeanor !

Claudia really looks amazing on the show, I’ve serious wardrobe envy, her stylist does a fab job, and has the vibe of the show down pat. I much prefer her breakfast outfits to her round table ones, though, Which I find a bit uncle fester.

He is a father funky and unique dresser, which is fabulous. His jumpsuits in particular.

Matthew looks like he has walked off the set of all creatures great and small.

And Rachel and her big hair bows is a throw back from your mum in the 80s.

jack is also a bit 80s throw back, it’s the earrings and hairdo.

Yes Jack reminded me of Aha :)!

His look is amazing. I thought modern take on the 1970s. Even the tache.

I loved his jumper tucked into wide legged jeans, especially the pink cashmere one. That's a look I'd wear!!

The striped jumpsuit/two pieces were a thing of beauty.

Did you notice that he was quite fit (as in sporty) on the hill challenge. I reckon he keeps fit to fit the jumpsuits. Otherwise it would be a bit fat elvis.

The clothes have been great this season.

I liked a lot of Rachel's jewellery
Jade's outfit in the final was amazing
I loved Jessie's yellow and orange colour scheme with her hair.

Yes jades outfit was sensational!!! With the tartan theme

This has been my take on his clothes, definitely Northern Soul. Not sure about those all-in-one nylon garish ones though

Jacks look is baaad. He is a good looking fella. But the glasses are awful, as is the jewellery. He is in sore need of a makeover

I thought he was yuk! Somebody needs to tell him about those earrings

Liquoriceallsortsmadear · 24/01/2026 16:04

Mumteedum · 23/01/2026 19:25

He looks like he belongs on the set of one of those classic musicals. I can imagine him rocking a sailor outfit in on the Town 😅

There's some 70s patterns though, definitely.

I don't understand the young uns. They all look like they're in fancy dress to me! Jack irritates me with his earrings and look .(IABU!)...but I'm old.

Yes he was gross - needs a good clean

the80sweregreat · 24/01/2026 16:03

Loved Stephen’s look. He is also slender, which helped him carry it all off on style.

Liquoriceallsortsmadear · 24/01/2026 16:03

1970s

Blakes 7 and Boogie Nights

Snowdropsaremyfavourite · 24/01/2026 16:01

I love Stephen's look! He's very much got his own style which incorporates a blend of 70s and Bohemian Rhapsody but with a modern twist. I thought his gold glasses (which belonged to his grandfather) were FAB.U.LOUS. Go Stephen!

Sartre · 24/01/2026 06:32

A combination. He had an ABBA jumpsuit on one day so 70s but other times he looked like a man visiting the beach in the 50s. Great style.
