Where is it?

Will they even do one?

Has anyone changed their initial viewpoint on the whole thing?

And lastly….Team Brooklyn or Team Beckham?

I’ve no doubt D and V do love their kids, and have certainly made enough money to be able to provide financially for them. However, they have shown zero respect for their right to privacy. Using them to create a ‘brand’ is emotionally abusive, those children had no choice in being plastered all over their social media and being exposed publicly like they’ve been.

“Being the child of a celebrity is not a privilege - it’s pre-ownership’ says PR Guru Mark Borkowski. “From birth, your name is metadata. Your adolescence is content. Your mistakes are monetised by strangers and quietly risk managed by family advisers. You grow up fluent in exposure but illiterate in autonomy. By the time you are old enough to choose, the brand has already been chosen for you.”

As posted by another Mumsnetter on another BB thread. Speaks for itself.

That Fat Tony guy (never heard of him) actually comes across as the voice of reason!

Vogue aren’t going to write that VB made a dick of herself at the disco are they? And Brooklyn and Nicola wouldn’t sign it off even if they did! 😂

Well Brooklyn said in his public statement that his mum hyjacked his first dance with his bride at his wedding and danced inappropriately "on him" which is saying Victoria made a 'dick of herself" so im not sure Brooklyn and Nicola wouldnt have signed off on it tbh....

woolfibre100 · 23/01/2026 12:52

Yes, that contradicts the Vogue account of the wedding – and Vogue will not have made anything up, as they will have had to pay to be present on the day and to have access to BB and NP for the interview, and BB and NP's approval of the resulting copy will have been part of the deal.

First dance covered in para 15.
Marc Anthony's 11pm set covered in para 18.

Unless... BB and NP wanted that version out there even though it was untrue, ie the version in Vogue was their fairy tale that they would have wanted to happen, and they wanted to have that published rather than the truth which was how it got highjacked.
I don't know though! It would be weird to have a completely altered account published.
I wonder if there'll be other witnesses who are willing to speak out, other than Fat Tony who TBH didn't come across particularly well in his TV interview in my opinion... He certainly won't be on D&V's xmas card list any more!

YourBrickTiger · 23/01/2026 13:28

My friend cannot accept that Sir Elton John has sided with Brooklyn. She is shocked. SHOCKED.

Oopsylazy · 23/01/2026 13:27

PinkPanther57 · 23/01/2026 11:16

NP apparently felt upstaged re: dance & VB & ran out of room crying. Fat Tony suggesting it WAS the first dance. VB instructed to put hands on BB’s hips & he sounds blindsided by it & Latin moves. Fat Tony has said her moves not inappropriate in themselves. VB called the most beautiful woman in room.

This was years ago…

I mean, can you imagine a thread on here where the OP says the MIL hijacked the first dance at her wedding and then was announced as “the most beautiful person in the room”?? And surely this comment came from one of the Beckhams cronies bc who in their right mind would even SAY that!? Nicola Peltz may or may not be a bitch but she is a stunning young woman and it was her frigging wedding day and let’s be honest - Posh has never been regarded as a beauty!

I mean come on - We’d all be calling the MIL a toxic, narcissistic monster!

GottaKeepItClassy · 23/01/2026 13:27

There was a story circulating shortly after the wedding of a wedding guest being on the receiving end of an allegedly ‘completely foul outburst’ from an ‘irate’ Nelson Pelz because they used one of the mansion toilets and not one of the portable toilets set up in the marquis areas.

Maybe the guest was Marc Anthony 😁
Might explain his DJ set!!!

Unpaidviewer · 23/01/2026 13:24

I think we will see more and more of these children who had their childhoods monetised going NC with parents. BBs feelings are valid. I hope he can move on and have a life he is happy with.

PinkPanther57 · 23/01/2026 13:24

woolfibre100 · 23/01/2026 13:17

I don't think Fat Tony is intending to mean that the BB/VB first dance was THE first dance (ie the newlyweds first dance).

In his This Morning interview he says 'first dance' in the context of talking about it being the first dance of Marc Anthony's set, which we know was much later in the evening, after the newlyweds' actual first dance, which had been between BB and NP, with another singer doing the performance of their first dance song.

It's an unfortunate lack of clarity, which reinforces the misrepresentation of BB's statement. Fat Tony may not have intended that, but the result is that it's reinforcing the misunderstanding that VB muscled in on the actual newlyweds' official first dance, which she didn't.

Agree. Could this be the intent?

Kingscallops · 23/01/2026 13:23

NeelyOHara · 23/01/2026 13:03

I mean, you’re the one assuming here, and getting it wrong.
Marc Anthony is a very good friend of David and Victorias, he’s godfather to two of their children, Cruz and Harper. He was performing at the wedding due to him being a family friend,

I wasn't referring to him

You sound a bit naive to be honest.

well you obviously know all tbe ins and out of this and I really never even think about them or read anything. I justknow there’s been a row. I know if it were my kid I’d let it blow over rather than fan the flames. I’ll now bow to your obviously very expert knowledge on this very important subject.

I dont think Fat Tony clarified wether it was (as Brooklyn said) the bride and grooms first dance though.
He just described Marc Anthonys actions (although MA hasnt confirmed or denied ) saying he called Brooklyn/Victoria up to the stage, called Victoris "the most beautiful woman in the room" which seem insensitive at a wedding.

It was inappropriate for a DJ to say that at someone else's wedding (bride should always be the 'most beautiful woman in the room'). I reckon he said it in the moment because he and Victoria are close and he was trying to convey the love and respect he has for his friend.

If a friend of my new MIL's had said that at my wedding - I would just think that it was a nice thing for them to say about her and then forget about it!

See Daily Mail front page if you can bear it. He’s interviewed & article. NB: Vogue I trust more as source.

whackwhackoops · 23/01/2026 13:12

I have seen a lot of support for VB since this has been published by BB. DB keeping his head down as he should. So many memes came out of VB dancing and I reckon its going in her favour. It wont do her any harm to show the fun and crazy side to her rather than the dower miserable persona she has strangely created publicly. I am team VB (not DB) and yes seeing her going to #1 in the charts just shows that girl power is still out there!!!

My initial viewpoint hasnt changed.
There are 2 sides to every story and to quote the late great Queen Elizabeth "Recollections may vary".... if Facts come to light that are evidential i may change my viewpoint on each separate allegation made.
I think Brooklyn has been badly advised to complain publicly though ,because if he truly wants privacy and peace his actions are not going to achieve that for him. Litigation is unwise too.
I hope they can resolve their family grievances ,but if not ,i hope they find some peace and move forward with their lives.

PinkPanther57 · 23/01/2026 13:06

woolfibre100 · 23/01/2026 12:58

It wasn't the newlywed's first dance – that had already happened earlier in the evening. It was to Can't Help Falling in Love, performed by a South African singer called Lloyiso. That was followed by NP dancing with her dad, to Wind Beneath My Wings.

The Brooklyn and Victoria dance was the first dance/song of Marc Anthony's set, which started at 11pm, long after the newlywed's first dance

It’s interesting Fat Tony now seems to be giving another version or press spinning that way.

TheDenimPoet · 23/01/2026 13:04

The problem is, nobody knows what the truth is. Social media and fame are what they are. They have to put on this front, or they wouldn't be worth the money. This could all be staged. It will have earned them a huge amount whether it is or isn't. Nobody knows the truth apart from the people who have been directly inside that situation. The Beckhams know the truth. They might have different interpretations depending on which one of them you asked, but there's no point asking who do we believe, because we don't know.

Things on social media are manipulated for the best possible effect. They always have been, right from the days of MySpace, you make your life look as good as possible (or as bad, when that might benefit you more). It's all smoke and mirrors. It's not the real world.

This surely puts VB in a better light & if far from first dance why should VB be ‘gracious’.

Was it an unwelcome surprise for BB? Fat Tony saying hands had to go to hips.

Kingscallops · 23/01/2026 12:33

You are assuming a hell of a lot. Victoria can't help it if her son picked a fuckwit to perform at his wedding. A fuckwit who clearly wasn't briefed. I find all big weddings pretentious BTW.

I mean, you’re the one assuming here, and getting it wrong.
