I think he has finally lost any marbles he had in his tiny little brain!

I haven’t seen this belief reflected anywhere but feel that this whole Greenland thing has been a rather clever diversion to take attention away from the Epstein files. Aren’t there still some yet to be published? Has the world been sucked in?

Why is it? We are forever told about how "my child will only eat chips because they are autistic" and "my child melts down if they have a change of routine because they are autistic" well what are you expecting people to think about autism when this is what we are always told! We can only know what people with autism or autistic relatives tell us!

Trump is a socio-path, not autistic.

He isn’t autistic, he’s got a low IQ. His vocabulary is incredibly minuscule.

Isn’t he trying to appeal to the common, working man, as he sees them?

Oh I agree! My mum says he talks like a child!

I think Trump is autistic. I heard somewhere he eats the same meal every single day and has other stringent routines. It all fits IMO

This is so fucking offensive I don't know where to start.

I wonder is JD Vance is just as batshit, have noticed him pulling the odd face during some of Trump's speeches, like he didn't have a clue that batshittery was about to come out of his mouth

Vance is an exceptionally intelligent man, Trump is not.

Nobody knows what Trump is going to say before the speeches. It’s unprecedented because obviously usually these speeches are scripted and their team know precisely what will be said. Trump gets given a script but he just says whatever the fuck he wants. It’s always a complete surprise.

I don’t understand how many people on this thread haven’t got that. It was a line in the speech that is the subject of the thread. Are people just commenting without having bothered to actually watch it?

I get it but no I couldn't watch it as many of us were out at work at the time. I saw a few live updates on my phone and was cringing at what a twat he was making of himself and had no intention of watching anymore of it in my own time when I got home

It was bloody brilliant!! Those woke shite governments deserved to have their noses rubbed into the mire.

He lobs a bomb into the inert morass to initiate action.
About time someone told NATO and Europe the lie of the land.
They alone CANNOT defend Greenland that’s the reality of the impoverished Forces in Europe.

WAKE UP TO THE REALITY!
The wastrels of Europe have been riding on the shirttails of the US for years.

Time to pay your way and stop playing empathetic suicide by allowing unlimited low value migration

Nothing Trump does is brilliant, he's a mental case! He's a massive fan of pollution, how the hell he can be a climate change deniar when live in fucking Florida which is disappearing under water is beyond me! In 2024 they experienced the worst hurricane storm surges they ever had which absolutely totalled the Gulf coast!

He doesn't think of tie impact of anything he does, he struck Venezuela out of pure greed for their oil, did he think about the damage his antics might have on the economy of the rest of the Carribbean when people get nervous to book trips there in case of further strikes and sudden airspace closures? He's threatening Iran which causes problems again for flight paths which now have to avoid Iran and all the other conflict zones. So it becomes more long winded and unnerving to fly to South East Asia etc.

We don't need the US, we need solid relationships with our fellow European countries and good trade deals, we don't need to be shipping in his dirty, chemical and bacterial laden produce, he can keep it. Neither do we want to be like the US in terms of their stupid gun fetish.

I haven’t seen it yet. But have you listened to all of it from start to finish or just the sound bites? The media time again prove they’re nothing more than propaganda mouthpieces. The BBC are actually being sued for a dr’d speech he said that made the context of what he said the complete opposite. The speech was about an hours long so if you’ve only seen about 5 minutes of it then you’re misinformed and should listen to it all before passing an opinion.

I’m not going to spend any time listening to that orange lunatic.

It’s bad enough that he stood in Davos, a German speaking region of Switzerland and said “without us, you’d all be speaking german”

Pissed off that The Ordinary is owned by Estée Lauder - I love it but I’m not buying it anymore. It was the heir to Estee Lauder who convinced Trump to target Greenland.

Estée owns a lot, Clinique is one I know of off of the top of my head.

I'm surprised he didn't mention Ilhan Omar, the Rep for Minnesota, he tends to hurl racist insults at her very very often. She is from Somalia. It's quite disgusting.

He called her Elon Omar, which is why it could have been missed.

Under the posters' names might be a good place to start.

I searched under the name and found nothing. And the quote did not include a date/time and I don't have time to sit here and scroll thru the whole thread. Hence I thought I would do the decent thing and ask.

I feel soooo sorry for the Americans. They have a sick child for a president, making himself (and the USA) ludicrous on the world stage. He doesn't have even the vaguest grip of what is going on. He's laughable.

Can someone please explain the difference between Iceland and Greenland, and between Denmark and Norway to the demented old sod.

It'll be a long time before anyone can take the USA seriously again.

You shouldn't really, they voted for him twice!

Trump is all on them... they saw what he was capable off in 2020, yet wanted him back again.

@Tezza1
The border between USA and Canada is not a straight line, at least in the east.

A person in Port Huron, Michigan, would have to look east across the St Clair river to see the city of Sarnia, Ontario.

Similarly, a person in the city of Niagara Falls in New York State would look west to see the city of Niagara Falls in Ontario.

You have to wonder, however, if Us-ans ever watch the weather news, and wonder "what is that big expanse of white space to the north of us".

@CanadianJohn2 Thanks for responding.

Actually, I was thinking of when I travelled to Canada, Toronto specifically, to visit a friend for a few weeks (I'm in Sydney). This was a long time ago, pre online times, and the travel agent I used was absolutely adamant that I must have travel insurance (which I would probably ultimately have gotten) but to be annoying I said no, I don't need it for Canada, and after Canada I was travelling to the UK and Italy and both countries provided Australians with reciprocal health care, so didn't really need it. She was insistent that I may somehow find myself in the USA, even briefly, say at Niagara Falls, have an accident and find myself financially up the creek for the rest of my life.

I was laughing about when I arrived in Toronto it to my friend who saw it as a sort of reflection of an Australian travel agent's lack of knowledge of the differences between the two countries whilst I saw it as travel agent who probably had had a bad experience with a client and the cost of American health care.

In some ways, many Australians are at least aware of the wider world, and a large proportion of the people I know have travelled and would at least be able to find Canada on a map, and appreciate that Iceland and Greenland are two difference places.

Trump is an algorithm made flesh. He doesn't think, he just churns out more of whatever provokes the biggest response.

johntorodesfatcheeks · 21/01/2026 14:25

Come on guys see sense. If it wasn’t for the US we’d all be speaking German and a little bit of Japanese now

No one seemed to mind when the US destroyed many other countries, it matters only when it affects Europe eh.
They usually say things like, but it was a dictator.
Well, he's a dictator now.
As if the destruction of the countries was better than the corrupt leaders they had!
All leaders are corrupt, all.
Imagine attacking the poor people of the US to save them from the corrupt leader?
