To think people are missing the main point that Brooklyn Beckham is trying to reveal ?

Firstly I know the goings on of this family are not important news and there are more important things to worry about in the world .
But I’m finding it surprising that people are fixating on things like the wedding dress and the dancing . There are a couple of points in his statements when he is clearly saying what I have always believed- that David and Victoria are not a couple as they like to portray . I’ve always thought David’s disdain of her is quite obvious in the way he talks to her and that she appears lost and soulless but intent on preserving the brand .
BB says “ 'The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”
Then - “ media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.'”

To me it seems obvious what he is hinting at ?

There is a woman on the Daily Mail comments who comments constantly on stories about GR. She claims to be his discarded mistress Sarah Symonds and never seems to have a good word to say about him. Of course, she could just be a liar but I don't think so, she is too persistent.

I have read her comments. I do think it is her.

@Arthur2shedsJackson , cirrectly?

EspressoMachiato · 20/01/2026 17:45

His in-laws are extremely tough, I wouldn't want to go up against them if I was David and Victoria. They are far wealthier than the Beckhams and Nelson is known as an extremely tough customer, a sort of Philip Green on steroids.

Exactly. David's a pussycat compared to the FIL - a ruthless business mogul who eats people like the Beckhams as an amuse-guele.

Arthur2shedsJackson · 20/01/2026 17:44

I do wish that people knew the difference between disinterested and uninterested and would use the words cirrectly.

Dollymylove · 20/01/2026 17:43

You cant beat a bit of salacious celebrity gossip 🤣

Urgggh what a repugnant thought

He hasn't done anything of note for himself despite all his advantages other than marry someone whose family are billionaires and you can bet he signed a pre-nuptial. His in-laws are not very different to his parents - wait until he falls out with them. He needs to grow up

I feel like VB will survive this though. I thought she was over at first but people love her and will side with her over a stunning, young, American, billionaire. Same with David - he has way to much good press behind him for people to side with the nepo baby over him.

And ultimately it doesn't really matter, it will blow over for the general public within days. People who like them will continue to and I suspect Brooklyn knows that, he's not trying to do a hatchet job I don't think he's just trying to clearly draw his line in the sand.

Certainly I think she wrote a book about it. I don't think he ever sued her so there's that.

Tana is even more of a doormat than Victoria. I think her father also had a whole second family, so I guess she is used to men cheating.

One thing we can hope is that BB is going to make damn certain if he and his wife have children they will be protecting their privacy from the day they are born until adulthood. Let's hope ....

GloriaMonday · 20/01/2026 17:38

@Secondtonaan , because this is about a young man who grew up in the glare of publicity because of who his parents are.

HelloPossible · 20/01/2026 17:36

Agree OP, I have thought for ages that the Beckham’s don’t actually live in the UK that much and the social media here is very much arranged and staged. All their friends seem to live in the states. They may live separately or one parent is around in the UK much more than the other.

People in certain parts of the media will know what the actual story is. If an arrangement has been going on for years then being a child of a happy family which actually is an illusion must be stressful.

Louielovecharlotte · 20/01/2026 17:36

David made a statement that you have to let kids make mistakes

completely minimising and not listening

if it were my child I’d be going towards them
not minimising and asking what can I do

I care - it’s very entertaining and a welcome distraction.

Lets not get started on Gordan Ramsay and his alleged 6/7 year affair. Money trumps morals in these circles and the kids of the family have to pretend it's all good and dandy as long as the pounds roll in

Yeah I do think he’s saying that and there is more to come BUT if they didn’t build and maintain this brand he would have had to get a real job so he shouldn’t moan too loud.

Louielovecharlotte · 20/01/2026 17:34

BruFord · 20/01/2026 17:31

@Louielovecharlotte The Ramsays are just one example that sprang to mind. My point is that he can do whatever he wants with his life, he can become far more anonymous if he wants to.

but everyone knows what he looks like

and your naive to think it’s that easy - it would be like changing your culture

I take it the 'inauthentic relationships' he's referring to are the countless so called 'celebrity friends' that they court in order to further their own brand rather than their own relationship with each other.

I don't think so. That is the 'plausible deniability' answer, but there is nothing juicy in that whatsoever, all celebrities do that so it isn't at all noteworthy.

HRTQueen · 20/01/2026 17:33

I think we can all read between the lines in regards to the comment to preserve their own facade.

The brand as it is, is now over, but their desire to be in the public eye will not be so they shall reinvent themselves
