Did you see her be labeled a domestic terrorist 2 minutes later by the Trump top team who told us to ignore the evidence of our own eyes? Did you see Fox News state that she was at fault for being a lesbian with pronouns?

People need to dissent in ways that don’t put them in lethal danger. There is an armed private militia group who have been hired with no background checks going door to door, who have been told the law doesn’t apply to them.

I made exactly that point to a friend I met for coffee this morning.

I think there's a good chance he is hoping for an excuse to impose martial law in the US. Plus he's desperate to invade Greenland. I don't know if it will mean civil war.

My British FiL lives there, he's got a Green Card but isn't a US citizen. We never worried about his residency status - he's got an American wife and has lived there for over 30 years - but I'm now starting to get concerned. A few weeks ago I would never have considered that his lack of citizenship might cause an issue, but I'm now changing my position.

Many people are scared to demonstrate because they have seen from Renee Goodman that the government will just label anyone as a domestic terrorist.

If a group organizes and marches they will be accused of being Antifa which has been deemed a terrorist network. ICE which resemble a personal militia or mercenary group like Putins Wagner group, have been told they can do what they want to domestic terrorists so they will just mow everyone down in the street.

Trump will then use this as justification to cancel the midterm elections. People have to find other ways to resist outside of demos eg boycotting Trumps benefactors and come out in huge number to turn Congress Blue in November.

ICE are carrying out the policies people who voted for Trump knew he stood for, and Trump won the elections. So even if you don’t like it that’s how a democracy works. ICE are removing illegal people so if you’re not illegal and they pick you up, you’ll be let go.

But still I think ultimately, while there will be unrest and perhaps rioting, I don't think enough ordinary Americans or their politicians have the appetite for war.
