The more tenuous the better.

I don’t want any of your “My mum used to clean for a famous pop star” because that turns into pages of tiresome questions and “Oh go on tell us who it is/give us a clue/no I can’t sorry”

I want such tenuous connections that nobody will bother asking follow up questions.

I’ll start.

My dog was Mr Tumble’s dog’s mum.

I attended a Christmas service at my DN's church in London several years ago. On the way home she told me there were 3 famous people in the congregation - a musician, an actress and an author. I didn't recognise any of the names and can't remember them but, apparently, I shared the peace with the author who was sat in front of me!

I was on TV in 1986 as part of the opening ceremony of the commonwealth games in Edinburgh. I was a dancer but we ran from the park to the stadium right at the start of the ceremony.

Also - and this will only make sense to those who listen to Forth One in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas - I won the Big I am a few months ago.

Whilst living and working on the Channel Island of Herm, a good few years ago, I was over in Guernsey, on my day off, and was asked for directions to a local conference centre by Denise Nurse.
We often had 'celebrity' visitors staying on the island as it is a real get away from it all destination where they could blend in to relative obscurity away from the spotlight.

We also received a royal visit and all islanders had to line up on the harbour to greet and shake hands with Prince Edward & Sophie when they stepped off the ferry- they were charming actually and Sophie asked me where the nearest toilet was!

Ds and I have are the face of swimming lessons at our local leisure centre for about 8 years.
Photographed in a swimming lesson when he was around 9 months old he's now 9 he looks gorgeous and happy I look like a drowned rat with its eyes closed.
Was bad enough when we were on their website but now we're on big cardboard banners by the entrance too.
It's a company that operates across our local area so maybe 8 sites so he's tickled that he's famous across the county ....... Me less so 😁
DH thinks it's funny and says he's married to a swimwear model again me less so.

Back in the day when T.V. would do a show at Christmas from a hospital.I was on the ward for filming ,Gerry and The Pacemakers were the headline act.It was a children’s ward at Westminster Children’s Hospital, which is now rather nice apartments.

My Mother and all the neighbours watched at home and my Mother said she was embarrassed by how often I was on screen.I have never seen it myself.

I met Gerry Marsden through my job a few times. He was a lovely, genuine down to earth man.
He came in once quite close to Christmas and wrote a Christmas card to my mum for me ❤️

I didn't recognise Pauline Quirke in a supermarket where I was a cashier and asked her for ID because her cheque was over £50.

I knew someone who was in a Toploader video.

😂😂😂
I used to work in Safeways and remember having to do that.

I used to also work at a theme park and they were doing a Songs of Praise special featuring Van Morrison. I kept on getting in trouble because I was enjoying my temporary colleague’s 😉 singing so much and wasn’t focused on working 😂

When growing up we used the same shop as Robbie Coltrane. He and my mum both smoked cigars at the time so they started chatting because of that. I was scared of him as I thought he was a giant.

I think I’m also some sort of distance cousin to the Cutkelvins who were on X Factor. And according to Wiki they’re distant cousins of John Lennon. So I guess I’m an even more distant cousin somehow?

Accirding to Ancestry, I am a distant cousin by marriage to Anjelica Huston's brother, and also to Lord Cholmondley, who was Lord High Chancellor (?) to the Queen.

My brother was once stopped at British Customs many years ago on a business trip over to Germany, strip searched, car searched, hours of questions. Brother was terrified, he was driving his boss's car and began to think maybe boss was into drugs or something. Eventually they said he could leave, and when he asked why they had stopped him, they admitted they had thought he might be Lord Lucan.

Sorry, I keep thinking of more....

I used to work at the next desk to an Arctic Monkey's aunt.

I used to buy paint from Paul Carrack's brother.

Sir Geraint Evans used to eat at my cousin's restaurant in Wales.

My dad was a vet and looked after Bobby Knutt's dogs.
Also, Bobby Knutt used to live in our attic when he was still a part-time entertainer and working days as a bread delivery man.
