Military conscription

Donotpanicoknowpanic · 09/01/2026 10:25

There is lots of talk about if ww3 happens then military conscription will happen

This is basically people who sit in an office safely saying we need to either send ourselves or out children to fight and die in horrible conditions

Am I unreasonable to think that anyone who thinks this is a good idea

They should be the first ones to sign up and to lead by example

Any politicians who think this is a good idea, there children should be the first to go

Russia is literally sending troops in wheel chairs and crunches to the front line

So age, disability and gender will not be a problem for anyone who supports any conscription policy's, they can go first

Also the UK will not be invaded, we are not Ukrainian, If we were more like Ukraine I would be more in favour of this as the country itself is under threat

Oh dear.

Yes, I'm afraid so. Despicable isn't he?

He made his little speech about our children having to be prepared to suffer as their grand and great grand parents did. He wants a war, of course he does. It ensures compliance for his globalist plans. Davos or Westminster? Remember?

Can you link this speech?
Why is he not being more aggressive with Trump if he wants a war?
But then, people getting worked up about Davos and thinking we aren’t already a global society are a bit naive and led by conspiracists. .

Ask yourselves why starmer so badly wants a war.

I guarantee that right now no one in Govt wants a war. We don’t have the man power, we don’t have the equipment and all the vehicles we’ve been waiting absolute years for are causing injuries to troops so are out of service atm. They’re probably all shitting themselves just incase one does happen, because we’d be up shit creek without a paddle.

BlueJuniper94 · 09/01/2026 15:26

cardibach · 09/01/2026 14:49

Yeah, he wasn’t meaning that. He was talking about the way the country is divided against itself because of people like Farage.

Did he? Interesting, do you have a link to any follow-up or where that interpretation has been formed

Yet I knew many, sadly all now departed, who said that it very much was worth it.

I am sad they are no longer here but I wonder when they departed and if they witnessed the decline over the past 5 years

My point is

There is a lot of talk about conscription on the internet and people saying we will fight the enemy

But when the conscription officer knocks on your door

Tells you and your family to pack there bags they are off to the Eastern front

Who is still up for conscription?

A lot of people on this forum seem to think it's a good idea

Until it effects them personally, it's those people I am making a point against

No, nobody thinks it’s a good idea. In a theoretical sense some can see it might be necessary. Most also say it’s not helpful and that they don’t think there’ll be that kind of war.
If you don’t think it will ever happen why does it matter? You’re just trying to stir up anti U.K., anti government feeling. And it’s working.

SerendipityJane · 09/01/2026 15:23

Probably not the place for any seriousness, but Britain - certainly Great Britain - isn't really a natural invasion friendly island. The only two successful invasions in the past 1,000 years were not Nazi-style continental armies sweeping majestically across the plains as they did in mainland Europe (notice the word "mainland" there). In both cases they were almost surgical strikes that took out the leadership and then accepted the submission of the nobility. Once that was done, it was game over. There was some civilian resistance in the North, admittedly. But with the rest of England subdued that was no problem.

Mainland European countries have quite a different risk and history. And a defining characteristic of being "British" or "European" is the inbuilt relationship to that.

The only British people who can even faintly comprehend what an invasion and occupation of Britain looks like are channel islanders.

They can go to hell. There's no way me and mine are fighting for a Britain that's utterly despised by globalist starmer and his cabal. See what successive so called governments have reduced the country to since the last wars. It wasn't worth it and I'm ashamed to say that because I totally respect those who fought and gave their lives.

Send snivelling starmer and his cronies to the front instead. Remember, a war ensures compliance from the next three generations. Ask yourselves why starmer so badly wants a war.

We're all being had.

Starmer wants a war? Where the fuck do you get that from?

So what’s the point then? Why wind people up with something you don’t believe to be true? Why start by saying there is lots of talk about it? Why not post that you think people talking about conscription are wrong?

I won’t fight or support the sending of my child to fight for a current Government who demonise every view I have. If you think Britain has the same values it did in the early 20th century when it was worth fighting for then I’ll give you your first Military Medal, in Naivety and Burying your Head in the sand.

So if the UK was under threat of invasion, you'd not want conscription because you don't like Starmer and co.? Or do you not agree with conscription generally, whoever is in power?

And if you think your children will be safe staying at home, you are also deluded. It won't be that sort of war.

Nobody is called racist for ‘fly8ng the flag’. They are called racist for using the flag to enact their racist views and intimidate.
Nobody except people trying to wind themselves into an anti U.K. frenzy is talking about conscription anyway.

Most of the racists were flying the English St George flag, not the Union Jack. And I for one object to them hi-jacking our flags and associating them with their nasty opinions. But a very clever tactic I mean you can't complain about someone 'patriotically' flying a flag can you?

SerendipityJane · 09/01/2026 15:04

I can remember how a lot the boys at school were saying it wasn't worth revising for their O levels in 1982 because they'd have to be conscripted because the Falklands had kicked off.

I think I know where their children ended up 😀

@Donotpanicoknowpanic . Nobody is talking about conscription except people trying to stir up anti U.K. and anti government feeling. The forces wouldn’t want conscripted anyway - warfare is too technical these days to throw untrained people at it. Yes, I know there’s hand to hand stuff with conscripts in Ukraine, but that’s desperation not planning and we have the advantage of being an island. It’s vanishingly unlikely anything like that would happen here. Stop winding yourself up.
Plus nobody thinks conscription is a good idea - they just recognise that in some desperate situations it’s necessary. Doesn’t mean they like it.

Why would you say the UK won't be invaded? Obviously if there was a war and we didn't fight back we would be invaded and any resistance crushed.

But I don't think the next big war will be fought by mass troops, it will be cyber attacks, biological and chemical weapons and nukes. So our children won't all go off to war they will be slaughtered at home!

@Donotpanicoknowpanic won’t answer the question of how she would want this to pan out in the event of the WWIII scenario she herself set up in her opening post. She’s been asked several times and doesn’t respond to a scenario in which she and her children might very well die or be captured anyway if there is no conscription.

Just wants to rail at people who see conscription as a potential, terrible inevitability.

I think it's a bit rich that the government would expect the men they called racist and far right for flying the UK flag to suddenly go fight and die under it.

I don't think future wars will be about countries, they will be between a few billionaire or trillionaires who have control of everything and still demand more oil and minerals.
The world should have put limits on personal wealth years ago.
