To be annoyed at Aldi cashier?

I have a bad habit of starting/reading a recipe and then realizing I don't have an ingredient, so I run to Aldi and get it, super quick and convenient.

I was there on Dec 29th and the cashier asked if I thought I'd be back before 2026, and said "Let's try not to".

I'm paying for the service right? I'm usually there once a week or so.

Omg, I was in aldi last week and the cashier asked if I had much to do, when I told her she said "no rest for the wicked", couldn't believe the brazen cheek of her calling me wicked. I complained to the manager and she was sacked on the spot.

It's the only way to deal with these bloody cashiers and their small talk to be friendly towards customers 😡

Do you honestly think Aldi staff are monitoring your shopping habits and judging you for going in once a week or more?

If checkout staff do that, I’m doomed- I shop daily!

Had you already been to the shop to the same cashier that day? out of breath from your run to get there, they may of been slightly bemused at seeing you again and just making small talk. They have to be there anyway so not sure why they would be annoyed. I quite often go back to the shop because I’ve forgotten something, I don’t care what they think.

He was being nice - surely you would hope that you haven’t forgotten anything and need to go shopping again!

Stop overthinking things that don’t need a second thought.
