@justanotherchangeofname His mother did do a lot. He probably wouldn’t have achieved his level of success without those early morning trips to training. I just wonder how awful one has to be as a parent to be cut out of an adult DC’s life, and possibly out of a beloved DGC’s life too.

I believe the distancing started before anything was in the press.

I'm not denying she did a lot but that's what parents do.. it doesn't give you an entitlement to be in your adult child's wedding/life.

People don't tend to ban their family from a wedding without good cause, or at least what they believe to be good cause. Again, none of us know the whole story so any opinion is based off of the media and some tweets- it's hardly a fair place to judge from and it's certainly not fact.

iCod · 28/12/2025 09:38

I would suggest his addiction etc is relevant.
normally rooted in family. It's always family.

Wheelerdeeler · 28/12/2025 09:36

It doesn't matter what she did to support him as a child. That does not give her free reign to treat him badly now. If she did. We don't know. We only know what the press tell us.

iCod · 28/12/2025 09:35

Is it sold to Hello?

One thing you can guarantee in the coming months, the press are going to rip his mother to pieces. It’s what they do, build them up then knock them down.

Shes not been at all smart with this.

It’s almost as if she doesn’t have a PR machine behind her protecting her interests, unlike the Ramsay’s
Which makes it particularly unkind that they haven’t supported his mother

The actions of his mother just screams narcissism to me. Running to the press, today's little statement in the media, getting his aunt to text a message literally moments before he went down the aisle talking about how he has torn out his mother's heart, vague threats. Narcissistic and her flying monkeys vibe right there.

I don't really know who either of them are, but the Groom's mother isn't covering herself with glory and I'd be suggesting the B&G are quite right to distance themselves as much as possible.

It's weird how many grown women are tearing this couple down, both on here and on social media. The amount of comments I've seen about how she looks, her personality, what she thinks of herself is ridiculous when 99.9% of the people making said comments have no idea what she's like at all.

No one outside of the families know the true situation yet everyone seems to have an opinion based off of "oh but his mum did a lot for him when he was younger". His family are selling stories to the press left right and centre.. maybe they should stop that if they want things to be rectified!

Flomingho · 28/12/2025 09:23

The girl obviously had an over inflated opinion of herself. I would be more interested in what her Dad was wearing seen as he is the actual celebrity in the family🤣

Seymour5 · 28/12/2025 09:20

I’m old. I know DH and I weren’t perfect parents, who is? Thankfully our DC are not in any headlines, and also thankfully they make allowances for us being human. I just wonder what she could have done that was so heinous to make her son cut her out of his life.

PodMom · 28/12/2025 09:20

Seymour5 · 28/12/2025 09:09

Should she blame herself for not being included in the ‘hen do’? The bride’s mother was there. I wouldn’t have expected to be at my DD’s or my DDIL’s, I genuinely didn’t know mothers at hen parties was a thing. But inviting one mother and not the other seems divisive.

I don’t think it’s divisive. I’ve always thought that the hen do was for the brides side of female friends and relatives. Wouldn’t have crossed my mind to invite a future mil if I’d had a hen do.

diddl · 28/12/2025 09:14

Was that before or after the fallout?

Im assuming after he fell out with his mum. But I think my point is he doesn’t seem to have fallen out with his dad as much. And if they were still on good enough terms for a wedding invitation why not reception as well

Lemondessert · 28/12/2025 09:16

How she agreed to wear the over shawl thing I do not know. I haven’t seen any other celebrity brides agreeing to this. You would think hello would understand people will see the dress. Why anyone decides money is worth more than their wedding particularly when the publicity around it has not been great.

diddl · 28/12/2025 09:14

PodMom · 28/12/2025 08:57

Inviting his dad to the ceremony but not reception if true is awful.

Was that before or after the fallout?

Inviting people you know and love and get along with vs someone who’s clearly had on going issues with your and your partner behind the scenes. No brainer.

Also she was watching George unless she was going to dump her grandson for a party she couldn’t have gone anyway. Think there’s speculation on if it was Adam’s weekend or if she was doing a favour to the ex but either way she was actually busy.

Seymour5 · 28/12/2025 09:09

xSideshowAuntSallyXx · 28/12/2025 08:57

I wouldn't be surprised if she's back in the papers in a couple of months complaining she has been banned from seeing the grandson.

And you know what she'll only have herself to blame.

Maybe it’s low cut and she doesn’t want the world looking at her cleavage?

Why does it bother you?

Another family fractured by wedding drama

I think peatys mum does a lot of running to people. Messaging Tanya, talking to the press, took issue directly to Gordon at the engagement party.

Likely a much bigger issue than the hen party but aunts instagram post likely the breaking point. Then the brother sends threats that land him in questioning for 2 days. Stories sold to the press, more Instagram posting. Dad refuses to come to the wedding, other family members follow dad’s lead. More stories sold.

I must say if my mil started messaging my mother because I wasn’t doing as she wanted or something my mum would laugh and block her because I’m an adult and well mums power to control my behaviour or plans stopped a long long time ago.

Maybe that’s Caroline’s issue she’s used to being able to tell Adam what to do and his stopped listening.

Edited

Yes, even her story in the DM yesterday saying that if Adam was behaving like this “I’d take him to task” is odd. Adults don’t like their parents “taking them to task” never mind boasting about it in the national media. Plus it’s a basically slagging off his new wife and her mother! Which won’t go down well.

HugglesAndSnuggles · 28/12/2025 09:03

I just thought it was a hideous, badly cut, dress 😂 😂 Admittedly, I’d only just woken up so didn’t look too closely but I doubt I would be the only one.

What sort of influencing does she do? Just general ‘here’s what I made for lunch’ or is she an influencer with a specific focus?

Or, here’s what dad made for lunch.

iCod · 28/12/2025 08:57

lol Why is not a single one dress for the fact that it's December?
