What unnecessary, inappropriate and ridiculous job did someone in your house decode to start doing in the middle of the Christmas chaos?

Title should read ; 'decide to start doing' 🤨

My DH, Christmas Eve, 2pm, while I was rushing to get sorted before we had to go out...started clearing out the kitchen cupboards, in particular the 'drawer of shit' whilst I was doing food prep. Spreading it around and actually on top of the food!

It's been a catch all drawer of shite for the entirety of the seven years we've lived in this house.

You know when you just look at someone and go "absolute bellend" In your mind, but he definitely heard it 😂

(Disclaimer, obviously lighthearted!)

@Uberaddict that’s so random, I clicked on this thread to say the same thing!! We’ve lived in a draughty house for ages, and my DH chose Christmas Day to start draught-proofing the house. Then looked wounded when I suggested it wasn’t the most convenient of times!

This would be me! 1.30pm Christmas eve was the perfect time to hoover the dust from behind my bed and bedside drawers. And clean all the doors top to bottom.

@Uberaddict 😂
my dh often chooses the hour before we are due anywhere to tackle a job that he knows will take an hour but forgetting to factor in the time to that he will want after doing the job to have a shower and then the time it takes to actually get to where we need to be.
How he has managed to run a successful business for the last 15 years I will literally never know.

I arrived back on Christmas Eve after doing some errands and DH had starting draught proofing the house. He had the youngest with her hairdryer heat proofing the front window. He had previously discussed doing it about 1000 times
