Just for fun.

What are some things that you have done in the past or do now that you know most MN’s would find you unreasonable for?

I’ll go first:

  • I’m so unbothered if you choose to have a child free wedding and my children aren’t invited. Even close family weddings. It’s your day I’m not going to kick up a fuss that you haven’t invited to my children. You’ve probably given me at least 6 months to a year notice, I’ll just arrange childcare. If I can’t - then I can’t come and you can’t be mad at me!
  • Chose to have 2 elective c sections for no medical need.
  • Given my children chocolate occasionally before the age of 2.
  • Son slept in a cot until almost 3!

I have a loo brush
I go yo McDonalds
I home educated and completely disagree with those who think it’s a safeguarding issue and somehow professionals magically lose all their powers of critical thinking and a child magically becomes invisible the moment a child is home educated
Agree with the OPs child read wedding scenario
Its Not as easy as just LTB.

You lot are all shameless hussies.

I've LITERALLY crushed my pearls in horror at your slovenliness.

My router is soiled.

biscuitscake · 16/12/2025 14:45

I have never screamed in anyone's face nor has anyone ever screamed in mine.

I trusted my DCs teachers throughout school and never complained about anything (with one exception!)

We love our log burner.

I let my Grandson eat biscuits when I look after him.

I would never say yes to siblings coming along to my DCs birthday parties (cfs).

I love watching Strictly and especially enjoy watching the celebs who have had some dance experience - they are brilliant!

tubingmascara · 16/12/2025 14:42

I don’t treat my employer like an emperor whose shoes I have to shine.

Shmee1988 · 16/12/2025 14:42

I keep my toothbrush in a toothbrush holder, on the sink, uncovered and not a million miles away from the toilet. 😳

Starlight1984 · 16/12/2025 14:34

I don't understand the toilet brush and bathroom bin ones?! How else do you clean the toilet?! And where would you put sanitary products / used cotton wool buds / empty toilet roll tubes if you didn't have a bin in there?!

I don’t get it and for the same reasons as you.

I'm from Scotland and where I live, people practically use the term cunt as a term of endearment.

I thought in Scotland it was a gender neutral pronoun.

everdine · 16/12/2025 14:38

I won’t ever have a tracker app on my phone and I would never put one on when my children are older.

I drink too much wine! And have never had screen time limits for the DC

Snap 😂

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 16/12/2025 14:35

Oh and I live in London and I like it...

BeMintFatball · 16/12/2025 14:34

Toilet brush in bathroom and downstairs loo.

i answer the street door. And worse than that whilst still wearing pyjamas. And I don’t care that it’s the afternoon. I could be a night shifter worker, I’m not but how they gonna know? 😂

I thought of more!

We have loads of enormous televisions, including in several bedrooms

I loved my MIL and welcomed her into our house whenever she wanted, including just after I'd given birth, because I am normal and she wanted to meet her grandson

I understand that kids don't suddenly and dramatically become fully grown adults on their 18th birthdays and appreciate that even young adults still need their parents. And I'd never have charged them rent, especially while they were still in education.

We regularly spend over £200 on dinner, because we can afford to

Edited

Totally forgot the TVs everyone has their own personal huge tv and the bar also has one.

Natsku · 16/12/2025 14:31

My children walk/walked alone to school from 6/7 years old
Have, and use, a loo brush
Don't lock the door when we're in until I go to bed
Answer the door to everyone (ditto phone, unless my phone tells me its probably spam)
Have and go to parties where everyone has their shoes off
Happily get naked in front of strangers in changing rooms and saunas

liamharha · 16/12/2025 14:28

I sometimes buy my kids a breakfast bar from the local shop for breakfast and I've put my coat over my pj top before today I always change the bottoms tho I'm not a chav 🤪

DeftGoldHedgehog · 16/12/2025 14:28

DDs were both moved into a cot in the next room at three months old.

I don't have a schedule for washing bed linen or towels or housework and just wash them when they seem to need it/clean when it seems dirty.

I had one glass of wine a week when pregnant and half a bottle of wine a week when breastfeeding.

Lndnmummy · 16/12/2025 14:28

Oh and I was delighted for visitors to come around postpartum and encouraged them to hold the baby as much as possible.

And I also LOVE my MIL.

I eat at McDonald's
I don't have screen time rules
I love Christmas and Birthdays and decorating for them
I don't make my children do 'chores'
I think its fine for your children to be competitive and want to win at things like sports
If they have been subjected to a certain behaviour by a certain demographic, my children are allowed to refer to them as 'Karen'.

I don't ever answer my door though.

You are basically me!

I have a bathroom bin and a loo brush. But hands off my towel!

Are bathroom bins frowned upon?

BlackCat14 · 16/12/2025 14:25

I don’t LTB at the smallest thing he’s done wrong.

(Appreciate there are lots of posts where LTB is very valid advice when a woman is with an awful man, but I see so many posts about minor irks or disagreements with partners and everyone insists they need to leave!)

I have nice autumnal candles and ceramic pumpkins up in October, and don’t consider it to be “tat”.

My partner and I earn around £75k combined and we think this is enough.

I think it’s nice to celebrate adults birthdays.

I can eat a three course meal easily, without thinking this is over indulging or being too full.
