To be switched off to Christmas this year?

If anybody else just switched off to Christmas this year?

It’s almost like it’s all happening around me, but I literally don’t care at all, I have no feeling of magic, or any desire to get particularly involved.

I’m enjoying wintering and the dark nights, and cozy evenings in.

I have a fabulous trip to take away with my family unit over the Christmas period, but I have absolutely zero interest in anything Christmassy.

There aren’t any kids in the equation, And I’m really looking forward to the two weeks off. But I just have zero interest in Christmas at all this year.

Does anyone else feel the same way? I can’t quite understand where it’s come from!

I'm the same this year OP, didn't go to work do or take part in secret santa. No decs up but friend coming Saturday so will have to put something up!
No DC & NC with only sibling, DF & DM dead. DH & I have never exchanged gifts or cards which I'm more than happy with. Only gifts I've bought are for the postie, our lovely neighbour & goddaughters in America. Feel like I've done what I had to, including cards, but no real enthusiasm this year. Having chicken on the 25th as elderly Dcat loves it.

I’m so glad not to be alone in this!

Just feels like another day!

That’s me every year. I just have no interest at all in Christmas.

Definitely with you OP. DC is a teen and has just asked for money this year so the magic is gone, it’s really a bit of a relief not to have to make a big fuss. We’ve also decided we’d rather have steak and chips for Christmas dinner so nice easy day. Still haven’t bought gifts for extended family yet!
