I've seen these threads before and thought how on earth did you not know! How big must your house be to have a secret room. Our house is not massive, 4 bed, normal size not really old or anything. But there's a super creepy room. Hidden at the back of the loft, It's got carpet, wall paper and even spot lights! And a director's chair... just sitting in the middle of it! It's weird.

What is the triangle shaped bit of wallpaper covering in the corner here. And what is the green frame on the tilted wall surrounding, a window ?
I moved into a rented flat years ago, it was massive and there was a locked door in the hallway that nobody could open/get into. My husband finally did and it was filled full of dead cannabis plants.

Perhaps the previous owners were into stargazing or whatever it’s called and had their equipment set up in the little room?

I'm intrigued to know how a survey wouldn't have brought it up🧐, or at least the plan of the layout of the house (dimensions/sizes of rooms). I know every inch of our attic, and it's an old house.

I quite like it. The decor isn't great obviously but well lit. I would quite like a space like this to get away from everyone. Just sit and have some me time

I literally just finished reading a book where a family moves into a new house, and the husband finds a secret room. There's an old armchair, a Welsh dresser, etc. in the room. And a bunch of momentos (glasses, wallet, watch, dog collar, etc) inside the dresser, kept by a serial killer, from the victims, who now wants the stuff back!

I feel like I've read this book!

Well, they obviously didn't get professionals in to do the wallpaper! Didn't it show up on the house plans? Though now I think about it I haven't been to the end of our attic as its just storage , so have no idea about the far end. Maybe I should send DH up to have a look . Abandoned chair! Get rid of that. Any chance there's a connection for internet or cable in the "room". Porn, gambling etc away from the family?

Yikes! That’s definitely some kind of amateur porn set. In a previous house We moved into, the owners left behind a similar set up in the loft but it was a ripped out car seat and there was a camera tripod opposite. The kid’s bedroom on the level below had a lock on the outside, presumably so they could get kept inside while mum and dad got up to god knows what in the loft. Yours looks even creepier with it being a hidden room. Although a handy place to hide in case of zombie invasion. Stash some prepper supplies up there maybe.
