To be annoyed with Kylie Minogue?

For most of my adult life I have worn sunscreen and wear hats in sunny weather and I don't look 20 years younger than I am. You can't eliminate wrinkles. KM looks the way she does because she has spent a lot of money on her face. She looks good but the fact that she has had work done (and continues to do so) shows.

Aww don’t be annoyed, she’s genuinely lovely. I went to high school with her, we weren’t friends but shared a few classes.

Facially, she’s had a few tweaks, but her face is the result of looking after herself very well and maintaining a low body weight.

She works hard on the bod though and it shows.

In Australia they run public awareness campaigns about the importance of sunscreen and have done so for a long time. I think they're really careful about their skin as a culture, due to the very strong sun out there. So maybe that's partly why she looks so young, if she was taught from a young age to always wear it, and so did everyone around you. It normalises doing it and probably someone always had some if you didn't.

I think she looks good but still has “that look” which tells you instantly she’s had work done.

It’s the unnatural puffiness that gives it away.

I think she’s also starting to look her age around her eyes. I’ve noticed lots of glam celebrities go heavier on the eye make-up as they get older, while also their eyes look more hooded/deeper set. It’s a distinctive look with the two things combined. Pamela Anderson was a classic example before she gave up wearing make-up.

Kylie has been through a lot and seems lovely so I just hope she’s happy and healthy now.

I don't know, I don't have kids but nevertheless have had a truly enormous amount of family stress, both from my family of origin and my husband and his family. I almost think that if I'd had kids, I'd have been less available to be kicked around like the family football. And with kids, at least you have fun, too. The stress of the last 18 years definitely shows on me, all of it sodding family-related. IME, there are plenty of other stressors in life to age you outside kids. Maybe you and your friends are still quite young. I'm 51, and I find that no one gets a pass out of life stress. It'll find you eventually, somehow.

Gosh, lots of comments here about how women without kids look younger. It's really not that simple. There's a lot of loneliness if you don't have kids, and that's the equivalent of smoking quite a few cigarettes a day, I read recently. Plus your marriage is more likely to break up, according to stats, and for me, at least, I received a lot of disrespect for not having kids. And most of your friends are taken up with child-rearing a lot. There are far fewer people available for friendship, outings, evening drinks, etc. Yes, I'm free to do these things, but most people have vanished into a family unit.

All these things can be quite stressful!

I don’t begrudge Kylie this. She seems lovely.

And yes if I had the money and inclination I would. Maybe.

This is what I was going to say. Along with money to craft how she looks she also never had kids.
I don't have money to craft my looks but I'm 100% sure I'd look ten times better if I hadn't had kids and only myself to fawn over too.

My father in laws wife never had kids.. She looked great but she had all the time in the world to spend on herself.

Going to watch the one show just to see Kylie. I love her.

Never mind how she looks, her live show this year was phenomenal. So much fun and SO much energy. I met her several times in the 90s and back then, she was literally one of the most insanely perfect looking people I'd ever seen in real life, albeit in pocket sized form. So, she had a good start which makes it easier!

I didn't see her on the one show, but I knew someone who worked on the X Factor and said IRL her face looked odd (bit wobbly) - maybe botox instead of the plastic surgery? No idea, I'm no expert.

Going off on a tangent, I remember seeing Nicole Kidman on a chat show around when she was 50ish bemoaning the lack of parts for mature women, sitting there looking like a 30 year old. She's not wrong, but if you have work done to look younger, then I imagine it's difficult to be cast in a role that's your age.

'The Minogue Brow' has been a part of her face forever. You can see that her right brow is a tad higher and more arched in pictures from the start of her music career. I'm not saying she hasn't had work done, because obviously she has, but the brow isn't one of the signs.

She can't sing, or dance, not really, but address likeable and used her Neighbours fame and the gay fans to get where she is. Good for her, it worked. Taylor Swift can't sing either and isn't nearly as likeable so good on Kylie.

I'm just pointing out that there is scientific evidence that shows, unfortunately that it does age you faster than if you stayed childfree even if that can be cosmetically compensated for, all those women have had a lot of work. It does appear that having kids does age us.

Just googled her after reading all the Raving comments and sorry but... no, I cant agree that she looks "beautiful " or all that young either. First pic that came up (attached) she looks like Pamela Anderson. Her cute Kylie face is gone. She looks tired, rough, and caked with layers of make up.
I used to love her look but she's nearly unrecognizable now.

Danni Minogue, Gwyneth Paltrow, Gwen Stephani, JLo, Halle Berry, Sofia Vervara, we could endlessly list all the equivalent Mother's who look as good as Kylie.

My cat Zoe died from that @TroysMammy and so did her brother (named after Gary Barlow) who belongs to my friend down the road, but their other brother Alfie is doing well at 14 still thankfully with Benazapet and Furosemide.

As for Kylie Minogue I just downloaded the One Show and she does not look in her 30s. She must be completely and totally focused on herself all the time. She looks good but obviously unnatural.

You’d be annoyed because someone’s done what ever they want to do to take care of themselves how they want to. I don’t know when I was a kid I was a die hard Kylie fan but it’s a non issue for you. Just get over it
