What are you thankful for

Counting my blessings! I have always been blessed with health, comfort, happiness and joy in my life, however, one of the main things that I’m extremely thankful for is my ability to be able to take care of my children as a single parent with a completely absent father. My daughters are so blessed that I can afford to give them so much in life. What are you thankful for?

Good health, a happy marriage, happy children, fantastic friends, a good career, financial stability.

A good husband. The men I read about in MN are rude, selfish, lazy, unkind and all-round useless people..Mine is kind, generous, helpful, considerate, polite and has more empathy than anyone else I've known. I can't fathom why so many women seem to get mixed up with miserable,. useless men.

Also of course I must say my health and the health of everyone in my immediate family is in good state, generally speaking.

My health. Honestly that is the one thing I am so so grateful for. I have friends in their early 40s, suffering from fibromyalgia, prolapsed discs, endometriosis, PCOS, my darling cousin passed away from bowel cancer aged 40. I am so so so lucky and so grateful that I am still fit with no health conditions and I do not take that for granted for one second.

My husband saved my life. I am so thankful to him and that I am alive. I had a heart attack and was incapacitated so fast, I would have died had he not got help.

@ToadRage he sounds absolutely amazing. My husband will most likely take on a caring role for me at some point. In the last two weeks since my diagnosis he has really stepped up. I have had to at times ask him to stop and allow me to still be independent. He has a chronic condition himself which although is stable he understands the mental and physical anguish when struggling.

There are truly some decent men out there.

I am thankful for my husband, he takes good care of me, he never loses patience with me, he doesn't get frustrated or angry when we come across another thing that I suddenly can't do. He understands that my disability can progress at such a rate that I may not be able to do something that i was fine doing yesterday. When i was diagnosed and i gave him the 'get out now if you can't handle it' talk he took me into his arms and said he knew what he signed up for when he married me. He went away and learnt as much as he could about my condition and is always looking for new ways to help me. This man is not just my husband and my carer, he is my lifeline.
