Talk to me about Tattle Life

Ive heard people talking about it on here before but didn’t really know what it was other than a forum. I’ve recently stumbled across a thread on there about an ‘influencer’ I’ve followed for years who has become progressively more annoying and false. Some of the comments on this tattle thread are needlessly unkind but others echo exactly what I’ve been thinking about her. Albeit I’m not sure id ever put those thoughts out there where they could hurt someone.

So is Tattle basically just a space for being nasty about people? Please excuse the naivety but other than MN, instagram and Facebook I’m not really a big social media user.

A quick search on here tells me there was a big reveal recently of the owner of the site, as if he was in trouble or something. So is it a site that’s looked down on?

I love Brittany. I think a lot of it is jealousy.

Hi Brit how are you!?

Some of it is too far but a lot of it is spot on, Brittany Miller's thread for one.

I think there does need to be a place where binfluencers and anyone in public eye can be openly challenged and held accountable for some of the stuff they say and do. Many are downright fakes yet seem to think they’re something special by trading off faux celebrity status.

Tattle takes it a bit far but where is the alternative?

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 24/11/2025 23:57

I have read most of the Jack Monroe threads on there and I think they have been instrumental in bringing her inconsistencies to the public. So it’s not all bad but yes, truly vicious.

Yeah some of the posts seem a bit stalkerish, critiquing a post or a story as soon as it’s gone up. And assumptions on her parenting and relationships between her and her family. Vicious definitely sums up my initial impressions. But (and I’m not condoning online bullying, it’s bloody dreadful) a lot of these influencers do tend to only allow people who fawn over them into their space. I’m not saying that they should just accept nastiness but when they are caught in a lie or doing something a bit dodgy and have loads of followers, it seems right that they should be called out in a reasonable way. They lap up the benefits of being an influencer but if anyone disagrees with them they are usually jumped on by the fans or unceremoniously blocked.

I don't have any interest in influencers so don't go on those threads, but the gossip and Strictly threads are hilarious. The posters are also very good at skewering the pomposity and general ridiculousness of many posters on here.

Greggsit · 24/11/2025 23:30

People take it too far. Influencers have complained about members nastily live commenting on family members funerals! That's just sick.

Netcurtainnelly · 24/11/2025 23:30

Its all about sad and horrible people with no life, bitching about others.

largeredformeplease · 24/11/2025 23:29

Yes. It’s awful.

it’s where people vent and rant and rave and just generally spit venom about influencers and instagrammers etc.

some of the stuff I’ve seen verges in stalking, if not already crosses into it.

I think there are some serious issues at play. A lot of the more prolific posters clearly don’t have jobs, as they stalk these peoples instagrams all day. They have usually been blocked by the person they are harassing, so they set up fake accounts and then wait for them to post a story, screenshot the story, send abusive DMs, get blocked again, set up new account….over and over again.

i don’t have Instagram and aren’t really into that whole scene, but fell into a rattle life rabbit hole a while ago. It was truly horrible. I’m not into the whole influencer thing, but nobody should be subjected to that type of online bullying.

usedtobeaylis · 24/11/2025 23:27

It's vicious and not my cup of tea at all. I think it's also often truthful though and I think was one of the first places where people openly spoke about seeing through through Jack Monroe.

Pastelpoppy · 24/11/2025 23:26

It definitely is a place where people just say nasty and horrible things for the sake of it. It’s very negative. But some people do use it the way you found it, to call out influencer bad behaviour and often their behaviour is deceptive and quite dodgy. I think Tattle has uncovered quite a few influencer scam type behaviour and the influencer has then had to take account for what they’ve done. But I’ve seen many threads where people go extremely over the top with the nasty comments and it’s sickening to read. The site is not well moderated so people get away with saying all sorts.

adropofgoldensun · 24/11/2025 23:26

Yes I was shocked by the vitriol in some of the comments I must admit. But they also pointed out a lot of the inconsistencies within this particular influencers content and the way that she laps up praise but blocks anyone who offers any sort of alternative opinion or constructive criticism. If it purely is a site for slagging people off and nothing else that it’s not something I’d ever partake in but it occasionally makes for good reading if I’m being completely honest.
