Talk to me about Tattle Life

Ive heard people talking about it on here before but didn’t really know what it was other than a forum. I’ve recently stumbled across a thread on there about an ‘influencer’ I’ve followed for years who has become progressively more annoying and false. Some of the comments on this tattle thread are needlessly unkind but others echo exactly what I’ve been thinking about her. Albeit I’m not sure id ever put those thoughts out there where they could hurt someone.

So is Tattle basically just a space for being nasty about people? Please excuse the naivety but other than MN, instagram and Facebook I’m not really a big social media user.

A quick search on here tells me there was a big reveal recently of the owner of the site, as if he was in trouble or something. So is it a site that’s looked down on?

I read a couple of threads and find them spot on. I have read that posters on some of the threads can go a bit a far but I don’t read those so can’t really comment.

The bit of Tattle I read, I love! It’s no different from any other site/forum really. There’s some vile people on here for example but that seems to be overlooked by people who think here is superior to Tattle.

There is also a thread taking the piss out of here which I’ve just discovered and it’s hilariously accurate!

The thread taking the piss out of Mumsnet is hilarious.

I came on to say this! I’m not a Tattle member and don’t post, but sometimes read threads. The MN thread is gold.

I’ve been on MN for donkeys but it’s important to be able to take the piss out of onself 😆

Teeny, tiny Mumsnetters cracks me up.

SandyLanes · 26/11/2025 21:25

I follow a couple of threads on there but don’t have an account. When the site starting getting a lot of press over the summer, one of the beauty influencers I followed on ig made a comment about how it was an awful site and should be taken down. I messaged her and asked politely why she didn’t do what she suggests to people that don’t like her content - ‘if you don’t like me, don’t follow me, don’t look at my page’. I asked why she felt the need to look at Tattle if it upset her so much? She wrote back telling me I was a troll, that she knew who I was, that it had taken less than a minute to find me on Tattle (impossible as I don’t have an account) and that I should fuck off and that she was blocking me.

God forbid anyone calls out an influencer….

Please check out the recent sands case, a weathly married couple from northern Ireland who silenced nasty tattle allegations

I don’t understand Tattle. How do you become a member? Sometimes I see people on here asking for codes? Why is this?

Because they closed joining to new members without a code. They had a mass influx a couple months ago though when they opened up joining again.

BlooomUnleashed · 26/11/2025 19:52

It’s basically GOMI (Get Off My Internet) 2.0, but less American and more British.

As long as there has been the internet places like to pick apart bloggers (or these days influencers) and celebs with some valid sleuthing followed by a plunge into rather unstable levels of vitriol and 2+2=seventy squillion.

They are founded, they flourish, they go slightly bonkers, then more bonkers, they get sued to oblivion or fall apart from infighting and people fleeing the increasingly shrill batshittery… and then the cycle repeats again in a new spawn.

ThatsRoughBuddy · 26/11/2025 19:45

Hey, Tattle, send me an invite! I have opinions on Alice Evans I need to share. 😂

Andonthatbombshell · 26/11/2025 19:45

They are bloody rude but usually spot on about influencers and celebrities who lie and / or exploit their children.

I've never been on the MN thread in case I've been slagged off at one point.

Allswellthatendswelll · 26/11/2025 19:43

I sometimes lurk on a few threads about certain influencers who I think exploit their kids and the vitriol is quite strong but it's never about the kids themselves, more calling out the behaviour of the parents. Yes there are some comments that I think cross the line and it's a bit grubby. I do think influencers need more scrutiny though. I'm not sure Tattle is exactly the solution.

I have to say everyone on there seems pretty nice to other posters- unlike mumsnet!

BettysRoasties · 26/11/2025 19:43

Also most of those influencers are on there posting, often on their own threads. Their own families also spilling the dirt.

TangoWhiskeyAlphaTango1 · 26/11/2025 19:41

Websites like tattle give people the opportunity to be bullies and find safety in numbers.

Or it gives people a voice to call those out for the pariahs and grifters they are. I disagree with personal insults but so many 'influencers' are causing harm especially the ones that exploit their DC for financial gain (some you know where they live, where their kids got to school). I hope one day social services will get involved and those children are placed on child protection orders as I truly believe this is harmful for those who are not able to give consent.

BettysRoasties · 26/11/2025 19:41

Im not a member but follow a few threads.

On the ones I’ve followed mostly it’s about calling out that persons behaviour yes sure they can be mean about appearance but when that person is say promoting skin care and gym products again you open yourself up to comments about your appearance.

Influencers hate it because they call out their shit and they keep the receipts. So when an influencer says oh I’d never go to Dubai
its this that and the other. Tattles members will go back through their wiki and go ahem. Here’s post about how great Dubai is. How they want to move to Dubai. Oh over never said arsenal sucks I love them best team ever. Ahem on the 23rd December you posted arsenal suck and are not a real football team. What a glory hunter.

I keep my kids private. But you tell us they wet the bed and show us where you live and what their names are and how old they are. Not very private.

Im sure there are some bullies like every forum ever. But I’m sure a lot of influencers call it bullying just because they don’t like the truth being shared.

BillieWiper · 26/11/2025 19:40

You're allowed and encouraged to be pretty nasty on there.

But not always and there's so many different threads and some people use it to talk honestly about their fandom or experience of meeting famous people or the scene that surrounded them. Like people who worked in the industry.

Who knows a lot of the stuff they say could be bollocks but it can be amusing. But I don't ever read about influencers as I don't know who any of them are.

I enjoy a lot of the non influencer threads. The mumsnet and popsy ones are funny. The mumsnet one in particular is spot on! I also really like the Aldi and Lidl one. I had covid during the whole Hugh Edwards scandal and the speculation threads about that really kept me entertained!

TangoWhiskeyAlphaTango1 · 26/11/2025 19:38

Netcurtainnelly · 24/11/2025 23:30

Its all about sad and horrible people with no life, bitching about others.

Just like on MN.

I go on there because of one 'influencer' only who exploits her children to the max. I wondered if it was just me until I found like minded people on Tattle. In fairness they are quite restrained but pretty spot on with what they say about this woman.

I see way worse things being said here on MN all the time.

NotForTheMoneyandNotForTheApplause · 26/11/2025 19:36

Doseofreality · 26/11/2025 13:24

I rather like Tattle any enjoy reading some of the threads on there. The Mumsnet one is hysterical!

Edited

Some of it is funny but the prolonged nastiness about one poster in particular was really not nice to read

mumofoneAloneandwell · 26/11/2025 19:35

usedtobeaylis · 24/11/2025 23:27

It's vicious and not my cup of tea at all. I think it's also often truthful though and I think was one of the first places where people openly spoke about seeing through through Jack Monroe.

The cheap meals lady? What did she do 😭

mumofoneAloneandwell · 26/11/2025 19:31

Stacey Solomon? 😭

(I love her from a distance)

I don’t post on there but I do read one thread about a family vlogging channel that I think is spot on. The father is a creep and has contacted young fans inappropriately, the mother has so many issues, they’ve isolated their children, the kids are supposed to be being home educated but all they do is shop and pose for the camera, they film their kids when they’re ill, they lie about money and con people. It’s disturbing and abusive and I think the tattle lot call them out for what they are.

I don’t read anything else on there though but I’m aware that it’s not the kindest place. 😬 Based on the thread I read though, I think there is probably a lot of truth on their and people just don’t like it. That’s not to say some stuff is untrue or just posted by trolls etc.

I think we must follow the same family! 6 children (5 + 1 “adult”)
it’s outrageous what some of these influencers are doing to their children and tattle is the only place we can talk about it without it being deleted. The lies are kept and their inconsistencies are made public.
It makes me so mad that the children have no say in this at all, the isolation, the lack of education, and the gas lighting that this is their “best life”

DuchessDandelion · 26/11/2025 19:27

I see lots of people defending whats said on TattleLife (which has a hate thread for mumsnet too) - they claims they're just having a laugh and voicing opinions and it isn't bullying. But if a group of teenagers at school or college said the stuff that's written there daily they'd be rightfully labelled as bullies.

Websites like tattle give people the opportunity to be bullies and find safety in numbers.

I used to be an influencer, back when tattle first started. I stopped it all in 2019, it was all so ridiculous and fake and I didn’t want it in my life anymore. It wasn’t worth it for the odd free box of cereal or an invite to the premier of a shit film.

I was spoken about on Tattle, mainly okay things though.

Look, all the other instagram idiots I knew were on tattle. Either slagging their fake friends off, or mentioning their own names in the hope
that they would be talked about to get more followers.

The thing is, if you don’t want to be talked about, good or bad, don’t make your life public. You don’t get to put your life on line and then get to police what other people say about you in public if you are putting it out there.

if you don’t want to be talked about, good or bad, don’t make your life public

Yes, this is a crucial point - and that goes double for making your children's lives public. When you broadcast your children's lives to literally the world you are damaging them - no possible argument against that. And anyone normal who accidentally stumbles into doing so would immediately stop as soon as they saw that they'd made their children vulnerable to even the mildest negative comment, wouldn't they?

If they don't, they're sacrificing their child's mental health, self esteem, security etc to whatever they personally gain from exposing their children to the world (usually money in one form or another).

So many do it that it starts to look normal - but as soon as you step back you realise how very very abnormal and cruel it is.
