Discussion with friends. Very heated disagreement. Unreasonable wearing knickers . Reasonable not wearing knickers

Having your bits come into contact with your pyjamas with no barrier for vaginal secretions? Unless you're as dry as a nun down there, that's a hard no from me.

Everyone's different and not everyone will agree. The OP asked for a debate (a heated argument) to be settled. People have given their opinions to help settle it. I personally don't like it, others personally do like it. The beauty of debate is the ability to agree to disagree and encourage discussion to hopefully settle the debate.

I don't own pyjamas so no option on that but my secretions certainly don't go everywhere lol. Not like the PP that said about how they'd be running down your thighs lol

TimeForATerf · 23/11/2025 20:47

I wear clean pyjamas every night and clean knickers underneath. I shower usually before bed so like clean pjs, I wear knickers because the seam of the pyjamas ends up going up my crack and I can’t stand it.

People have very weird arguments these days.

Yes to knickers under pyjamas. The alternative is basically commando and that's ew imo

Unless changed every day!

Knickers as I'm at the age where I need to wear a Tena liner at night.

However, just before I go to bed, I open the window and sit legs akimbo on the windowsill to give it a good airing out.

😂😂😂

Washingupdone · 23/11/2025 20:43

Didn’t vote as although you explained a second time I am dumb. Wear knickers

My tuppence worth, nightdresses, while allowing freedom from knickers simply ride up in bed and provide no protection from legs/thighs sticking together.

Why would my thighs stick together?

My 3 DD used to wear clean knickers every night and clean knickers every morning and they have passed this onto their DC. I do the same Daytime socks clean everyday . However, day clothes can be worn till they smell or look dirty.

I do have kids and it’s only my skin that bothers me when I’m trying to sleep…I never said it made sense!

Yeah it's a strange one Maybe something to do with nerves under the skin pressing together

Satisfiedwithanapple · 23/11/2025 20:20

AbbeyGrange · 23/11/2025 20:12

Cotton knickers are unlikely to do that, I've never had thrush and I HAVE to wear knickers in bed, so that theory falls down...

You are just one person and you’ve never had thrush. Is it really that hard to imagine that other people are just made differently? 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am wondering how many times all these knickers people get thrush. I am late 30s. Literally never had it. Air everyday 😂

Knickers

TealScroller · 23/11/2025 20:10

RubySquid · 23/11/2025 19:16

Assume you have no kids then or is a mabs skin against yours ok

Sparkle88K · 23/11/2025 19:43

Knickers and a T-shirt for me.
I was brought up no knickers, but I’ve never liked the feeling of pyjama seams or the bottoms twisting around my legs in bed.

No heating at night. I go naked in the summer but like the extra warmth in winter.

Edited

Do people put hearing on at night? Never done that in my life. If it's cold just put a water bottle in half hour before. Soon warms up. Or if I'm at DPs then he's a human radiator

swapsicles · 22/11/2025 20:47

Always knickers, stops the pyjama bottom seam riding up in the night!

Exactly !!! I could never wear pyjamas and no knickers. Surely it’s so uncomfortable

Hot water bottle, duvets , blankets? Is your house that freezing

Knickers and pyjamas, even in hot weather as I cant stand the sensation of my skin against skin, every part of my legs and arms need covering!
