Got myself a blender and soup maker which was cool! £30, Asda

What have you bought that youre pleased with?

What have been some deals that have made you tap into your inner Martin Lewis and say 'youre having a laugh hun'

Have you had to rein in your excitement like I have 😭

I've bought a Roka backpack I've wanted for a long time and Nigel Slater's Christmas Chronicles for £11 instead of £28 on Amazon courtesy of a poster on here.

i am confused. I thought Black Friday was next week.

It is, but we don't have "waiting til Thanksgiving is over" as a blocker so shops just do pre-Christmas sales and shove the word 'Black" in somewhere. Now as a retailer if you wait too long in November you lose your share of people's disposable income.

JaceLancs · 23/11/2025 17:58

40% off a handbag I wanted at John Lewis
I only make use of 20% discount if it was something I was going to buy anyway
Normally buy on eBay or from charity shops

anyolddinosaur · 23/11/2025 17:11

Bought some clothes, including socks and shoes. Sadly a couple of the nicely discounted are going back as they were from a company I hadnt used before and are a poor fit - guess that's why they were discounted. Not much we needed this year. Also stocked up on drink.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 23/11/2025 16:51

I've impulse bought a robot hoover mop today.

One expensive jumper and a pair of shoes, neither of which I needed, but both of which I wanted. Saved about £100 on full price of both 😊

I've bought a couple of small things from Amazon (I checked camelcamelcamel) but mostly I wanted to express appreciation for the nailed it gif. I miss that show!

I've done extremely well. Not bought owt, not spent owt.
Sock it to the capitalistic "man". Cheers easy.

Good for you.

I think replacing a TV after 20 years at the replacement's lowest price point (I check this stuff) before the original died or went bang wasn't doing too badly, either.

enjoyinglifenowretired · 22/11/2025 20:37

I have bought a tonies character from Amazon which has saved me about £3.

If you are buying from Amazon it's a great idea to use CamelCamelCamel or similar to check the price history. Many of the Black Friday deals are total bollocks. I have a browser extension which is invaluable.

Yes hard agree with this

Amazon are notorious for it!

This is also a win.

Sadly, I didn’t sock it to the man, but I did buy reduced socks Blush
