To think it should be mandatory that dogs wear shorts to cover their genitals in public?

I love dogs. There's a dalmatian near me that brings me true joy during the school run 🥰

But now that I've admired your dog from my car, got my dopamine hit, I am now faced with the task of avoiding glancing at its testicles and therefore being mildly grossed out during the rest of my journey.

In 2025, I shouldn't be forced to see a dogs genitals!

Time to introduce 'dog boxer shorts' so I can go about my day in peace! Someone needs to get onto Kier Starmer, honestly.

Is it just intact male dogs then? Do you take issue with female dogs? Would they need to wear knickers rather than boxers? What about neutered males - no testicles, but still liable to get the lipstick out on occasion?

Wearing a coat without pants doesn’t sound very normal.
I think we need to have a word with your Mum. What she was thinking?

I passed a dog yesterday that had what looked like a onesie on. No genitals could be seen. Dog didn't look that happy and I wondered how it could possibly go to the toilet without the owner/dog walker having to take the whole thing off. 🤔

It looked weird to be honest. Poor dog

To be fair, though, if it's a small dog and there's a few inches of snow, I can see how the dog might appreciate not having his bits dangling.

I’m reminded of a young nephew who once remarked to Dsis, that their dog was licking his balls again.

Dsis told him that ‘balls’ was a bit rude, the correct word was ‘testicles’.
A few days later he said, ‘What was that word again, Mum? The one that means willyballs?’ 😂

My neighbour's dog wears a onesie in bad weather. It saves them having to deal with a mud caked, dripping labradoodle twice a day, every day in winter.

He doesn't mind it at all and it has a peep hole for pooping and peeing so all's well.

My dog lies across the back of the sofa with his head on top of mine. Closeness doesn’t always mean lying on your lap. And yes, sometimes his bollocks are closer to my head than I’d like but given he hardly tolerates his collar I doubt pants will help any.

The father of a friend of mine totally based his masculinity on the fact his Great Dane wasn't castrated. He even called him "BrandyBalls".
The day my cat beat BrandyBalls into a corner with her claws until we rescued the poor, shivering mutt was probably the last day my friend's father could get an erection.

I don’t like seeing dogs’ bollocks either. Especially big dogs with prominent testicles. Gross. I do understand your distaste.

But it’s ridiculous to suggest they wear underpants. I assume you were being a bit playful with your original post and not entirely serious.
