Just as the question says. Partner going on a holiday with their parents and brother (just the 4 of them) no partners. Parents are paying for the flights and accommodation. Your partner will just have to pay for food and entertainment etc.
you are not being left with dc or anything.

My mum and I used to go away for 2 weeks every year, she’s a bit too old now but instead I go with my bestie. My partner stays at home with the cat. What’s your problem?

HairOil · 18/11/2025 20:06

I’d hope they enjoyed themselves? Is it a trick question?

Hankunamatata · 18/11/2025 20:06

Id be fine with partner going away.

Suppose if only be annoyed if they didnt have enough annual leave for holiday we planned or the holiday was going to leave them short of money

TheFairyCaravan · 18/11/2025 20:05

If it was somewhere i desperately wanted to go, I’d be a bit jealous but other than that I’d enjoy the peace and quiet.

Mydogsmellslikewee · 18/11/2025 20:05

I think that sounds nice.

TTCbabynumber22025 · 18/11/2025 20:05

I wouldn’t have a problem with it. I’d love the opportunity to do this with my own family.

Apileofballyhoo · 18/11/2025 20:04

I'd be delighted.

Eenameenadeeka · 18/11/2025 20:01

Pre children, my husband did travel with his family without me and it was absolutely fine. After children, we've taken trips as a whole family with his parents and siblings and my children's cousins.

BendingSpoons · 18/11/2025 20:01

I'd be a bit jealous they were getting a holiday but ultimately happy for them. I'd either see if I could find someone to have a holiday with too or plan some fun stuff at home - a mix of seeing friends and having the TV remote to myself.

rubyslippers · 18/11/2025 20:01

wave them off and wish them a
great time

Cosyblankets · 18/11/2025 20:00

I wouldn't mind at all

Prelim · 18/11/2025 19:59

Sounds lovely! It’s not often you get to just hang out with your parents when you get older. What a nice treat for them.

How old?
Is it an annual thing?
are you a long term partner?
