To think there's something really off about this woman?

Sorry for the Daily Fail link, but this is the third video I've seen over as many weeks with this woman acting oddly possessive over Arianna.

Ariana Grande getting named in the OP when the at least equally (and imo more) talented Cynthia Erivo gets "this woman" speaks volumes.

The marketing for Wicked has admittedly been strange - they are clearly LARPing as their characters.

This wasn't about their weight. It was about Cynthias weird possessive attention seeking behaviour towards Ariana.

It comes across creepy and narcissistic.

these two actresses are talented, but come across very very odd, and they do look under weight.

I expect she's being mentioned because she's lost weight and there was a bit of a segue into celebrities getting thinner

Just to clarify, this is from the last film promo tour. It's an old clip that the daily fail are dragging up for no reason.

Bit of a quiet day on the sleb 'scandal' front, maybe.

They've probably had this story (for want of a better word) on the back burner for months already.

They're both equally odd. And their 'friendship' is quite clearly manufactured, since they're never seen spending any time together outside of Wicked promos.

Some competitive undereating must have been going on during filming, because this pair, and Michelle Yeoh, now look like walking corpses.

Cynthia is a bit bonkers but it's almost unavoidable in that world, and it's not surprising that they're closely bonded after working on those two blockbuster films, plus they just naturally really get on, which is great given the roles they're playing. Both hugely talented too.

I do worry a bit about how thin they both are, though. I know they're naturally slim built but they do seem to have had a lot taken out of them. I hope they're both OK.

Folie a deux, just looked that up. It definitely feels like something like that. Very codependent.

Though it makes me uncomfortable because Ariana seems so uncomfortable with everything this woman does, whilst simultaneously making excuses for her. She scares me a bit with her intensity.

I haven’t seen the whole interview but the DM video ends with them both making weird faces, Ariana looking a bit pissed off. It’s a weird thing to do in the middle of the interview. I’ve seen Ariana talk about how unhappy she was when she used to wear lots of tan, makeup and a fake pony tail, but she looked much healthier then. It must be stressful trying to live up to your dream role but something weird is going on here

Oof the original video loaded here. I feel like Cynthia really struggles with Ariana being the megastar and has to try and get attention any way she can off her. That necklace thing is just awful, Ariana is trying to speak and Cynthia is faffing around with her insane nails at her jewellery. It strikes me a bit possessive and jealous like she can't bear Ariana to have any attention without it including her.

That, or they mutually agreed on this intense public facing 'friendship' as part of the hype around the movie, and they're playing it up big time.

I saw the weirdest video where a presenter grabbed and shook Ariana's hand/arm up and down quite vigorously, on stage, and Cynthia leaned over and grabbed Ariana's arm back from him, while Ariana kinda stared at it dazed and trembling, and then Cynthia started like, kissing it? Whatever is going with Ariana, it seems Cynthia is well aware and feels like she has to protect her and step in to rescue her a lot. That, along with the actresses becoming skeletal, screams codependency. There's some really disturbing stuff going on during the filming of that movie imo.

I think they need an intervention for anorexia. Their management need to step in and get them real help. They are also role models for little girls. It is very concerning.
