Having sex straight after baby

I don't understand those who can be arsed.

Aibu

Edit - I don't mean straight away but generally. So tired, house is a rip, fat belly, body is tired, mind is tired. I just don't care if I don't have sex again

There is a theme on here sometimes of making out that anyone who wants to have sex shortly after a baby, is not concentrating on their baby, is a traitor to women etc.

Live and let live. If you don’t want to, fine. There’s nothing wrong with people who want to.

For the ‘cool’ people who have posted a negative response, just scroll on by surely? The OP is stating a perfectly valid point of view.
If people can’t do that about a variety of subjects on MN then what’s the point of it?

The OP didn't state a point of view at all at first.

She then edited her opening post.

But still, she doesn't need to understand what other people do/don't choose to do when it comes to their own sex lives.

By 2 weeks I was horny as hell. But understand someone still don’t want to 6 months later. Different strokes for different folks.

AintNoPunshineWhenShesGone · 09/11/2025 14:21

Also, what does the OP mean by 'straight after baby'?

Are we talking a few weeks or mad shagging in the delivery room before the tea and toast arrives?

I took weeks to heal up so no thanks! But everyone different. Even bleeding went on for ages

Namechangetheyarewatching · 09/11/2025 14:18

I don't think you're supposed to have sex for at least 6 weeks after giving birth due to the infection risk.

You need time

CosySeason · 09/11/2025 14:17

I wanted to straight away but I didn’t for various other reasons.

Cookingupmyfirstbornson · 09/11/2025 14:17

11 days after a c section (carefully) my hormones made me randy af

Screamingabdabz · 09/11/2025 14:16

I think the vast majority of new mothers feel the same op. It’s natural. YANBU.

AnneLovesGilbert · 09/11/2025 14:16

Other people feel differently. That’s okay.

BMW6 · 09/11/2025 14:15

Really???????

AintNoPunshineWhenShesGone · 09/11/2025 14:14

Why do you feel the need to understand other people's sexual relationships?

Tink3rbell30 · 09/11/2025 14:13

Absolutely gross and a massive infection risk.

Slightyamusedandsilly · 09/11/2025 14:12

It's asking for infection, is what it is. Why the hell would do this?

TheTaupeMoose · 09/11/2025 14:11

Why are you focused on what other women do with their vaginas? I wouldn’t do it either but a thread about isn’t needed. Strange and seems obsessive.
