Andrew and social services

AIBU to wonder if social care have become involved with Andrew Mountbatten’s daughters and Grandchildren? And if not, why not?
he’s clearly a sex offender of a very young woman and I’m not sure but possibly a paedophile. I guess he’s not been charged with anything as yet so that probably answers my question. Just sitting here and thinking about how different life would be for him if he’d lived in an ordinary family

@LookAtMeWithStarryEyeswhat I would do is irrelevant. The point is if anyone here thinks Andrew’s grandchildren’s parents aren’t able to keep the children safe from Andrew they ought to contact children’s safeguarding themselves to refer, rather than speculate here.

Anne was shagging Camillas ex husband Andrew Parker Bowles although admittedly he was shagging his way through the entire British arisocracy so he was bound to get round to her eventually!

Yes, but 'Princess Anne slept with Parker Bowles the same time as Camilla' according to the PP. Sounds as if Anne slept with Camilla.

I wasn't aware Princess Anne had slept with Camilla 😄. We don't know that Diana was a virgin, and she was a 19 yr old adult who'd known Charles all her life. She knew what she was getting into, and had hardly been 'duped.'

They're an unsavoury family all round. Prince Phillip consorting with Stephen Ward and his circle in the Harley Street flat. His uncle Mountbatten and his alleged activities in a Northern Ireland care home for boys. Princess Margaret, an abusive drunk and her ex Snowden and his antics. QE2's uncle who abdicated and consorted with Nazis. Princess Ann slept with Parker Bowles the same time as Camilla. Then the RF duping an innocent young virgin Diana into being a brood mare with a man who had no intention of honouring his marriage vows.

The law is innocent until proven guilty.

He needs to be put on trial first.

The law needs to be the same for everyone, it's what protects us all.

@FedUpWithDilemmas Of course he does. He's innocent until proven guilty. He isn't a sex offender unless convicted, and reasonable proof is required before a trial can take place.

Someone who has sex with a trafficked 17 year old is a sex offender - just not a convicted one.

He may be exploitative but tbh he’s definitely not a sex offender and hasn’t been convicted as such.

our SS are already very stretched - they’re needed for actual known abuse. This would be wasteful

YourAmplePlumPoster · 05/11/2025 09:03

Apparently there is a large fortune left by Virginia from the pay offs and TV appearances she made which is being contested by the ex husband and her brother so I am disinclined to believe the crying brother when he appears on the TV.

I don't understand. Please could you explain what you mean? Was there some scandal?

She has been heavily involved in supporting the victims of Weaponised Rape, and in assisting the previously mentioned specialist surgeon who is trying to repair the physical damage caused to those women and girls.

If you think the situation with Prince Andrew was awful, open your mind to the reported 80,000 "delicate repairs" Dr Mukwege has performed in his career.

The bald, horrifying facts of the situation in DRC ought (in my view) to be at the forefront of people's minds. The current tide of fury plus acres of newsprint could be used to far better purpose if it stokes revulsion against sins more wicked by far than anything so far alleged against the Epstein circus.

Only my opinion, of course, but thank you for at least wondering what I was referring to. Google will amply demonstrate the truth.

Elizabethandfour · 01/11/2025 19:24

Prince Phillip was a nasty individual, a wrong un.

The entire family is profoundly dysfunctional and all of them had a very hands off upbringing.

Yet people continue to worship the ultimate nepo babies despite their clear disdain for the peasants.

Honestly the obsession with Andrew is ridiculous.

No. He is not a rapist.

No. He is not a paedophile.

In fact to suggest that he is is bloody offensive to children who have been genuine victims of child sexual abuse.

The woman was 17.5. In the UK she was over the age of consent.

He’s a sleaze, that’s not in question. But to suggest that his children and grandchildren were in any way at risk is just pathetic really.

And before anyone says “yes but she wasn’t over the age of consent in the US,” nobody seemed to care about that when that kid was arrested for having sex in Dubai.

I totally agree

What surproses me most is the air time being given to the Giuffre family. When a teenage girl gets mixed up with this sort of crap one has to ask why and her abuse and misuse certainly wouldn't have started with Epstein. Why is nobody after the parents who should have cared for and protected her?

Andrew is an arrogant and not very bright twit with the emotional intelligence of a gnat. That doesn't make him a paedophile or a rapist and it's notable that neither of his daughters have kicked off against him or other family members.

There are bigger secrets being covered up by a smokescreen if you ask me.

Well, I think you might be insulting gnats' intelligence 😃. Haven't read book but have read the published extract. It seems that after her first visit to Epstein house, when she had thought she was going to a normal job, she was threatened to make her stay quiet about what was happening there. If she said anything her father and brother would be in danger, she was told, and Epstein owned the police, he said, so she needn't think of going to them. She was given money to rent an appartment and told to move out of her family home. That may explain her compliance in the US, but in the UK, perhaps it would have been easier to make a break for freedom. I don't know.

Needspaceforlego · 01/11/2025 18:14

There are also comments in the book Rise and Fall of the Yorks Andrew lost his virginity aged 11 With a 'friends' Dad being involved.

If that is true then Andrew is also a victim. It is well known victims of sexual abuse often go on to become abusers.

There is so much more to Andrews story.

Needspaceforlego · 01/11/2025 18:02

I wonder if social services will actually go after her own father? If he abused his own daughter who else has he abused.

Its a real pity she didn't pursue her own Dad.

Are you also as worried about Virginia G father who raped her according to her? there is not proof of the things you are saying. I couldn’t care less about Andrew but the obsession is beyond the charts.

Oh poor Virginia, I didnt know that her own dad had raped her

It makes sense as to why she didnt understand that she was in danger around Andrew 🥺

Elizabethandfour · 01/11/2025 15:07

RainbowBagels · 01/11/2025 14:00

Well all his titles have been taken away by his own family, to save their own skin. They could have just ignored it and told us all to fuck off because their Andrew was innocent but they didnt. They very quickly caved and went scorched earth, whereas normally they would have swept yet another thing under the carpet, threatened the press, refused to invite a newspaper editor to another swanky lunch etc.

Yes stripped of his titles and asked to leave his home but given another beautiful mansion, security team, domestic staff and £1 million a year. Wouldn’t mind that harsh punishment myself.

Yes it's interesting that her brother has been doing lots of media interviews about how happy he is to see a British Prince 'brought down by an ordinary girl from an ordinary family'. I'd argue not that ordinary, actually.

She was allegedly sexually abused by her father from the age of 7 and she'd run away from home by 14, living on the streets, in and out of foster care, shacking up with another much older man who was also convicted of sex trafficking young women. All of that her brother seems to be wilfully ignoring, preferring to focus solely on Andrew.

He seems to be in complete denial that his own father might have raped or abused her and that he was perhaps the original catalyst for Virginia becoming so vulnerable and amenable to sexual predation and exploitation in the first place. But if he doesn't want to believe that about his father, then why is he so ready to believe she was raped by Andrew? She was either a vulnerable fantasist or a cynical golddigger, out for her 15 minutes of fame and a hefty payout, or she was telling the truth on ALL accounts. And to be fair to her, it seems she never sought any attention or to profit from the situation initially. She came forward only after she was contacted by police, years after having broken off her arrangement with Epstein and Maxwell in order to get married and move to Australia.

But why, now that it's all come out, is he conveniently ignoring such a big part of her story of sexual abuse, while going hell bent for leather on the other half?

If you are going to say 'I believe you' then you can't cherry pick. If you are going to go on TV and name the men who should bear some responsibility for her taking her own life, then that should include ALL of them. Not just the rich and famous ones. You don't get to let your own dad off the hook.

There is absoulety no evidence thst Andrew has any intrest in children.

Young women, yes
Children, no

Apart from young women who look very young and have been trafficked. Yes, if this was Dave who works on the bins, social services would be involved.

TheignT · 01/11/2025 14:15

BoredZelda · 01/11/2025 12:46

Is her father still in the line of succession to the throne? Did his actions threaten the monarchical structure of the U.K and risk throwing us into a constitutional crisis? Was it part of a trafficking ring which has involved some of the most powerful people across the world?

So raping your own daughter isn't a serious matter. How quaint.

RainbowBagels · 01/11/2025 14:04

If there was evidence of criminality - he would have been prosecuted. He hasn’t, because there isn’t.
Do you think any police force in this country would prosecute a member of the RF for something as serious as this? No way. The US authorities want to speak to him as a witness. Why wont he go?

JazzyJelly · 01/11/2025 14:04

FairKoala · 01/11/2025 11:34

What makes you think that given at no time has he ever been accused of going after those below the age of consent

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Portsmouthnappies · 01/11/2025 12:41

Hi, I am a child and family social worker. In circumstances like this, a referral woukd be made, usually from police. Social workers would assess and work with the family, usually safety planning, such as a safe parent (usually the mother) would ensure children are not left alone with alleged perpetrator. It doesmt matter if there is a conviction or not.

And he was the only one, was he?

We all know that it was massive, involved a lot of girls and a lot of men. Who are hiding in plain sight while everyone demands Andrew loses everything.

Well all his titles have been taken away by his own family, to save their own skin. They could have just ignored it and told us all to fuck off because their Andrew was innocent but they didnt. He was in an orgy with other men including Epstein, and many young girls under 16. His sexual boundaries are non existent it seems. I wouldn’t let him near my grandkids or any other children/young people if I could help it.

Do you have concrete proof of this? As I understood it, the alleged liasons with Guiffre were in private.
