To think man I’m dating was wrong to ask this? Or is it ‘normal’ these days and I’m just prudish

Man I’ve been on 6/7 dates with and all going well.

I was at a works do last night, posh hotel so dressed up. Sent him a photo of me once I’d got ready.

He replied ‘where’s the money shot’

I asked what he meant and he said ‘your tits obviously’

I haven’t dated for years so don’t know if this is just how things are now..but was I wrong to be taken aback?

Who cares whether or not it's normal for others OP? You don't like it and that is what matters. After 6 or 7 dates he should know what your standards are.

Sassylovesbooks · 31/10/2025 14:50

The 'money shot' as far as I'm aware is a porn term used for a man ejaculating over the woman's boobs, after sex. It's definitely not something I'd be expecting a man to say after 6/7 dates! It would completely put me off.

Cherrysoup · 31/10/2025 14:50

I’d have expected a compliment/hope you have a great time, not a bloody porn style comment. Kick him to the kerb, appalling comment, immediate ick.

Shedmistress · 31/10/2025 14:48

No id have told him to fuck off in response.

PotatoPrometheus · 31/10/2025 14:47

"money shot"...ewwwww. I'd have sent a photo of a five pound note, then blocked him.

Vaninees · 31/10/2025 14:47

Disrespectful horrible message to receive. Block!

louderthan · 31/10/2025 14:47

Did you reply?

Idontjetwashthefucker · 31/10/2025 14:45

Nope.

louderthan · 31/10/2025 14:45

YANBU OP. It's not that you're 'prudish' it's that men have no fucking boundaries and feel entitled to womens' bodies. The bar is in hell.

softstone · 31/10/2025 14:44

Dear God.

That would put me off. I’d dump him personally as my expectations are sky high nowadays. He’s crude and vulgar so it would immediately switch me off - permanently.

It doesn't take sky high expectations to dump somebody for doing this though.

Hysterectomynext · 31/10/2025 14:44

Get rid now. Don’t waste any more time on him. Take notice and cut loose

Toothpastestain · 31/10/2025 14:36

Yuk. Imagine his humour when he's not on his best/early dating behaviour.

spoonbillstretford · 31/10/2025 14:35

I would never contact someone again who spoke like that.

its2025 · 31/10/2025 14:35

Time to teach him objectifying a women he's dating is the fasted way to get dumped?

OfficerChurlish · 31/10/2025 14:33

Either he's using it in a porn sense (and getting it wrong) which is probably an attempt to push boundaries or he's using it in the more general sense of "biggest selling point" - in which case he can fuck off with both the objectification and the commodification.

YodasHairyButt · 31/10/2025 14:33

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · 31/10/2025 14:26

Before we rush to conclusions - is he an ornithologist?

🤣 brilliant.

But seriously, I’d block and move on.

Arlanymor · 31/10/2025 14:32

NoArmaniNoPunani · 31/10/2025 14:27

I thought the money shot was a porn term for seeing the man jizz. Never heard it for boobs. Either way it's gross

It is, but I guess in this scenario he could be using it to say that it's a photo that would make him 'offload'?

Lolalovesroses · 31/10/2025 14:32

Horrible. A simple enjoy yourself would have sufficed. Hopefully you didn’t reply and he’ll get the message that his behaviour is out of order.

bigboykitty · 31/10/2025 14:31

This is what the block button's for!

EmeraldRoulette · 31/10/2025 14:30

It might be normal as in, something that happens a lot.

That doesn't mean you have to date him. I certainly wouldn't.

BreadandCircus · 31/10/2025 14:29

Six or seven dates in? When still on your best behaviour and trying to impress the other person?

cantpullthetrigger · 31/10/2025 14:28

It’d be a dealbreaker for me. Pathetic and completely off putting.

Not the sort of man I’d want to be in a relationship with.

Pleasealexa · 31/10/2025 14:28

It's him..perhaps it's more common because of text communication. He might have only thought it before rather than write it down.

Dump him, sign of things to come
