Really? So there is no way for trans people to condemn them and refute actions of people who are turning everyone against them. Righty ho. There have been no transpeople on tv or interviewed in newspapers?

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 01/11/2025 15:11

TheKeatingFive · 01/11/2025 15:10

They seem to find plenty of platforms to demand access to women's spaces and criticise women who don't play along however.

Yet suddenly, when it comes to calling out violence in their ranks they 'don't have a platform'. C'mon, we weren't born yesterday.

‘Don’t have a platform’. Now THAT was funny.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 01/11/2025 15:10

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/11/2025 15:06

Probably because most of them are just individual people trying to do their best in a world that sidelines and silences them. They don’t have platforms to call anything out.

How are they being ‘sidelined’ and ‘silenced’?

"The trans community"

  • middle aged, middle class white male cross dressers
  • mentally ill psychos like Alan Baker
  • gay and lesbian kids being preyed on by ghoulish doctors
  • body dysphorics like Buck Angel
  • sex offending men who have found a new way to access women and girls
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/11/2025 15:06

Namelessnelly · 01/11/2025 15:03

So why does the “trans community” not condemn them and refute their actions?

You don’t help yourself by being deliberately rude or simple, or aggressively bold (especially when you’re being a bold simpleton). It’s obviously none of the nonsense you’ve typed. And these people exist and have done for centuries, so it’s clearly not batshit either 🙄. It’s real, and they wouldn’t give two shits that you personally don’t believe it - you, actually, embody the type of ignorance that makes their life a living curse. Why be so dismissive of something you don’t like? Wonder who that reminds me of…

I suspect it’s probably some sort of chromosomal combination, or genomal “defect” that combines element of a male human with elements of a female human in the same body. Is that beyond your imagination? Or can there only ever be two possible choices, both of them absolute at all times, and natural selection must be 100% perfect at all times, that glitches and variations can never occur even though they do every single day up and down the entire length and breadth of the human genome? You do a huge disservice to the hundreds of thousands of people who have gone before you who lived with their “defective” bodies and souls without making the sort of fuss that has this current generation all riled up. Ffs, I know standards on MN have dropped but this is something else.

You’re the one claiming people are born in the wrong bodies. I mean, if you’re dumb enough to believe that, I don’t give a hoot what you say. You probably still believe Santa is real. How do you know people have been being born in the wrong bodies for centuries?

fortinbra · 01/11/2025 15:01

@Haz3lW00d I do get it, it feels good to support a vulnerable group, why wouldn't anyone do that? I was happier before I understood this movement tbh

Are all the people on that magazine cover trans women?

They all look like men, so I assume so.

Yet we are supposed to welcome these aggressive, violent idiots into our female spaces all the same. Otherwise we are 'bigots' apparently.

Of course. What, did you think we'd threaten to rape and kill you, post your real life location on the internet with bomb making guides, accuse you of genocide, bring about vexatious legal complaints and try to get you arrested? What kind of barmy army does that when it hears opinions it doesn't like?

Those idiots don’t speak for many in the trans community.

fortinbra · 01/11/2025 14:51

Haz3lW00d · 01/11/2025 14:02

Do an internet search. It’s pretty clear and many many women don’t agree with her or the MN obsessives who have nothing better to do than start dull, nasty threads over and again. She is wrong.

As you were, enjoy your weekend of frothing and hatred spewing. Some of us have an enough confidence in being a woman that we can celebrate others and feeling empathy.

I thought like this before I properly researched what was happening. I mean, I didn't think JK was hateful - I'm a better judge of character than that - I just thought she was wrong. Then I looked into it further and... holy shit. My change of opinion was based on gaining further information, not on suddenly becoming less secure as a woman or a drop in empathy.

Oh do give over they are absolutely not making the trans community to be better than women. In the magazines 30 year history trans women have only been on the cover twice, JK Rowling herself has been on it. It’s so dull and ridiculous, the levels of obsessiveness and attempts to make a meal out of nothing over and again. Has she seriously got nothing better to do and has she seriously got such a poor view of women that she feels they’re threatened by a magazine cover celebrating achievement. It’s really sad and she does women a dis service.

Unfortunately they are there representing a movement that has pushed for medical experiments on children and men being put in jail with women, among many other rights abuses. Calling women 'dolls' is sexist and misogynistic and only something a quite messed up male would do. I thought like you before I properly looked into the issue.

Indeed.
If you’re happy with Glamour magazine to name men as women of the year then that’s your prerogative. Just don’t expect everyone to believe that men can become women.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/11/2025 14:30

HighLadyofTheNightCourt · 01/11/2025 14:25

Just like it’s okay for me to think what glamour has done is wrong and that JKR is 100% right for highlighting this.

And was sacked by NSPCC as a safeguarding concern after suggesting kids contact him, an unknown adult man, directly via social media.
The whole glitter family shit is going to throw up a lot of skeletons before long, as has started happening with alphabet youth groups in Scotland.

Yuck. Yet advertisement use him to sell products. Avoid.

This relentless need to prioritise men with special feelings over women no matter what is tedious.

It really is. And I cringe for the women cheering it on. Sad.
