Friend cancelled meet up last minute.

Am I being too sensitive? I'm feeling a little upset as my friend cancelled plans last minute.
Was supposed to be meeting in the park with our 3 children as its half term here.
She cancelled last minute as she forgot and needs to wait in for a delivery.
She meets regularly with other friends in our circle, she goes pub, to others houses.
Feel upset because same thing happened not long ago as well.

If she’s done this before then I’d message to say it was a shame she couldn’t meet but if she wants to rearrange then let you know and you’ll sort something. She will either plan something in with you and if she doesn’t then you know where you stand

Was she coming with her children or alone?

It happens as the delivery time could have changed or maybe urs a recent order.
However the polite way is for her to approach you about change of plan, explain the reason and offer a different time/ date.

Then she should say "no, let's do X instead" rather than ditch people last minute.

I'd be a bit disappointed too.

I also agree with PP to leave it with her now - if she really wants to meet you, she'll message. If not, she's not a great friend.

I'd let her re-arrange tbh @MeDadMeDad especially if she's cancelled before.

If she doesn't, that'll give you the information you need for the future.

To be fair to your friend every so often I get foot problems with plantar and cannot walk for a day or so so I always grin and bear with it if I am let down. Sometimes the situation cannot be helped.

Fair to be disappointed over it but it’s not something to be upset over. Did you rearrange?
