I don't know
I wouldn't be surprised if reform and conservatives joined ..they ould balance each other out a bit

Considering a lot of defectors are tories it would be easy to see them pair up.

No one. but labour will have parties that will join with them. No one will join with reform it’s a dead party.Farage is the right wing equivalent of Corbyn all talk no trousers.

Why don't Labour just smash the gangs?

That was just another promise they made in their election manifesto that they’ve failed to deliver on. Same as their promise not increase taxes on working people 🤡🤡🤡

The easy solution is to withdraw benefits..
Basically even if granted asylum, they can't claim anything..no housing ,no money ,no disability benefits
And stop using hotel and houses and having them roam the streets, but use old army barracks or disused prisons ,..there's a floating ship that the army used ,but yet it's not good enough for asylum seekers
So stay and build life here if you can support yourself.. but no financial help will be offered.
I expect boat crossings with stop immediately

Yes I wish this would happen

They CLAIM they're in fear of their lives. There's a big difference between reality and what they claim.

Especially when so many go home for holidays once given status.

taxguru · 25/10/2025 15:50

Winterrobin5 · 25/10/2025 15:48

What planet are you on
Come on ..they are 99% young men
No granny's or grandad ,no mums aunties sister niece
All females left behind
No disabled ,no injured
All left behind in a supposedly unsafe country they originated from.
Not safe for these fighting age men to stay ..yet safe for everyone else not strong enough to make the journey
Come on ,make it make sense

Nail on the head. If it was so unsafe where they've come from, they wouldn't have left their children and female relatives behind.

If they are refugees then be definition they are here because they are in fear of their lives. I'm not sure it's much of a choice.

Give over
They are coming from France
Definitely not in danger for their life

Exactly. They are in France - a safe country. Then they make the decision to risk their lives coming to the UK via boat across the English Channel. There must be a pretty strong incentive for them to take such risks.

Anyone can claim asylum in any country they want. The vast majority go to the neighbouring country. They are not obligated to stay in France.

They are all men ..
I think there was one child at one point , getting dragged across from France ...a safe country

It’s a choice to and in a way a privilege to country hop deciding which one is the best one to try and claim asylum in. Only those with money get to pay the people smugglers after all.

Those who are poor and in fear stand no chance.

Again mainly men as well. I’d support bringing women and children over with support.

Pontins is empty these days.

But exactly. No money given zero. No hotels with three meals a day.

Ex military bases not good enough for them but good enough for military. Pfft.

If you want to willingly come here support yourself. NHS included in that stance.

Reform won’t win the next election. It gets to 33% and then is stuck.

Who will get over that?

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 25/10/2025 15:16

I'm almost at the point now where I think it might be time to lance the boil. Let Reform win and let their idiot supporters feel the pain when they realise how monumentally stupid they have been.

But then I fear that that might not realise things might just spiral further into chaos. And I worry about how many innocent people will suffer.

The problem is not that the Reform voters will make life terrible for themselves. Frankly, they deserve whatever chaos is coming. The problem is that they will drag others down with them. I feel very sorry for those who will not have anywhere else to go.

How does ‘sending them back’ to a country that won’t accept them work in practice? You need to have a return agreement in place before you can physically return people to a country. This is why we can’t return anyone failed asylum seekers to Afghanistan at the moment.

Unless things improve economically, standard of living improves for the majority and we have less people coming into the country either on visas or claiming asylum I fear Reform have a very good chance of winning if they don’t implode

they will use straight forward slogans how it shall be implemented won’t matter to many voters as what is in place and has been in place isn’t working for too many

We are paying France to diddly squat
Should stop paying them any money at all
