You look great OP - the person who told you youlook like a 16 is being ridiculous and trying to upset you.

jetlag92 · 22/10/2025 21:51

You're at the easy level though to just tone though and tall enough that it will make a difference quickly.

Size 10? Around 10/11 stone?

This

Eyesopenwideawake · 22/10/2025 21:45

I really struggle with not feeling good or pretty enough

In which case the opinions of strangers, or people you know, mean nothing.

When and from who did you get the idea that you're not good/pretty enough?

5128gap · 22/10/2025 19:51

12 stone, size 12 and look lovely.

About this, guessing as a 5ft 7 person, currently weigh more than that and look it!

SqB · 22/10/2025 21:44

You look great. If you normally feel great, don’t let one person rain on your parade!

I’ve been many sizes over the years, I was only ever called fat when I wasn’t. Think when you’re actually overweight people stay quiet 🤐

Givemeachaitealatte · 22/10/2025 21:43

NoCommentingFromNowOn · 22/10/2025 21:16

So she didn’t call you fat.

She said she thought you looked at least a size 16.

Two different things I think?

Edited

Come on. Soneone who clearly isn't a size 16 being told they thought they were that size is insulting and someone being deliberately mean.

I really struggle with not feeling good or pretty enough and when someone asked me what size my dress was she said she thought it would've been at least a 16 not a 10.

You’re both good and pretty enough. If it helps at all I’m 5ft 10”, 11 stone and a size 10-12 too and I’ve been called fat before. I have a friend who is 5ft 4” and just under 9 stone, size 8, athletic, and has been called anything from fat to my favourite ”relatively slim” and another size 8-10 friend was bought a pair of size 16 PJs by her skeletal in-laws because they “thought she was that size because she’s so much bigger then their size 6 daughters” who lived off red bull, fags, white bread and bad karma. it was bollocks.

let’s not forget the celebrities who were called fat in the 2000s when they weren’t at all, Kate Winslet and Jessica Simpson for example.

I learnt in my late 30s something I wish I’d learned a lot earlier, fuck other peoples opinions on your body. Everyone will have their view and some arseholes insist on sharing them. You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, otherwise you’d be a mug. ☕️

freedo · 22/10/2025 21:31

Some people do carry weight differently

Fully aware of that, but that would mean they wouldn't look the same as the OP...

LadyGAgain · 22/10/2025 21:30

Size 10. You look tall so weight will differ but 9 stone 7?

freedo · 22/10/2025 21:29

@Glowingup I'm with you. I have a small frame for my height (size 6 feet) & and similar shape to the OP. People think i'm lighter than I am. But even though i'm taller at 13 stone I wouldn't look like that in a photo.

That's someone deliberately trying to be nasty when it's pretty obvious you are not a size 16.

CausalInference · 22/10/2025 21:26

11 stone, size 12-14

I really struggle with not feeling good or pretty enough and when someone asked me what size my dress was she said she thought it would've been at least a 16 not a 10.

So this is where, instead of getting sucked into someone else's reality, you instead learn variations of ignoring, deflecting, changing the subject, asking 'why do you want to know', or stating outright 'it's none of your business'.

Assert your boundaries. Don't play on their terms. Don't play at all. As you learn to value yourself, and protect yourself, you'll also become less dependent on how you look for validation.

Some people do carry weight differently
i am a size 14 at 15 stone (5ft 10)

I get that and when I was 14.5 stone I was also in a size 14. I have heavy bones and a broad frame. I look heavier than I am. But I can still absolutely say that the OP is nowhere near 13 stone or whatever other stupid guesses people are coming out with. And nor do I believe that anyone is 13 stone and looks the same as the OP. She has a slender figure that you just wouldn’t have at 13 stone. Unless someone is going to show evidence of themselves at that weight I will choose to disbelieve them.

Cucy · 22/10/2025 21:18

Who was this person?

Some people are awful at guessing sizes and so don’t take it to heart.

You look like you have an incredible figure and you should be proud of it.

AnnaPhylax · 22/10/2025 21:18

Size 14 and 85 kg

Who was this person? If it’s a stranger than just ignore, if it’s someone you know when also ignore and block!! How rude.

Moro93 · 22/10/2025 21:13

I’m an inch taller and this is around my build when I’m a size 12, weighing between 11 and 11.5 stone.

Mary28 · 22/10/2025 21:12

I'd say size 10-12 - I'm thinking 10 but would need a side view too to be sure.
I'm guessing between 9-10st.

I'm the same height and a 12 usually and I'm close to 11st now unfortunately and I think you look slimmer than me. I carry my weight on my legs though and am slim on top.

No way are you fat, and no way does that dress look size 16.

Was the someone trying to "neg" you?

KuanKaKu · 22/10/2025 21:07

11 stones and size 14
