To think that Sadiq Khan needs investigated?

Considering the ongoing disclosures of the extent of the Pakistani rape gangs in London and Khans refusal to even acknowledge them do we think he has bought the office of Lord Mayor into disrepute?

Am I the only one who has noticed what it starting to seem like a targeted campaign against Sadiq Khan across various forums and social media?

No.

Racist bastards.

I'm shocked how many people want to turn a blind eye to this, what about the victims here? Watch this if you want to see Sadiq Khan gaslighting others. He is a nasty evil man who despises women.

She didn't even know what a county line is and kept calling it 'country line'. Which shows she does not actually give a shit about the exploitation of children in London. If she did, she would know about county lines.

Would you want to speak to someone who posted Islamophobic tweets about you, which Susan Hall did to Khan?

Or to speak to someone who endorses tweets praising Tory minister Enoch Powell and his "rivers if blood" speech, which is what Hall did?

No, you’re not the only one

Might be time to bring back the “sheeple” concept

Sorry OP the coven has decided against you, more concerned with your wording and choice of news source than the large scale rape and abuse of young women, these people are part of the problem. Here's a BBC link, I wonder if that's good enough?

Yes I think he does need investigating. Anyone who was part of the silencing and coverup of the grooming gangs need to be imprisoned imo. That goes for the police, social workers etc..

@nomas Wedger has given multiple interviews which I don’t have any trouble finding. In any event, he has been invited to give evidence at the forthcoming commission (if it ever gets going) so the panel will have the opportunity to assess his credibility.

So you claim there are multiple allegations against Sadiq Khan for covering up grooming gangs but you're unable to post to even one written source?

And now you're saying that the allegations will be made in the future at a commission? Are you Mystic Meg?

I don’t think this person is posting in good faith. Lots of these ‘bad actors’ about. Trying to push a (racist) narrative.

AzurePanda · 21/10/2025 20:33

@MrsTerryPratchett The Met is very much under the purview of the Mayor of London

This.

Post after post attacking him. On matters that aren’t under his purview but subtlety hint at him being unfit because he’s Muslim.

Or maybe it’s because he kept deflecting and then it turns out they never use the phrase grooming gangs they use the phrase “multi offender something something”. Rowley just admitted that there are loads of live cases whilst Khan’s been dodging answering any question on this directly for years. He read the reports, he knew the problem existed and refused to admit it in public. No leader should be dodging child abuse.

I don’t live in London and never paid him much mind tbh but this got my attention. I don’t dislike him because of his religion, I dislike him because he could have said years ago “yes we have this problem in London, we take it seriously and are dealing with it”. The cases in places like Rotherham were shocking precisely because of the complete lack of acknowledgment by social services and the police. It was just ignored.

What if it’s happening right now in London, authorities ignoring crimes against children. We have no idea of the ethnicity etc of the perpetrators and it should have no bearing on whether it’s a problem or not. Rowley described the number of cases as “significant”.

It’s about doing the right thing.

@nomas are you not able to look up his allegations - they’re widely available. And how on earth would I, as an outsider, be able to assess his credibility? That’s what an enquiry is for. There are quite a few people, including Maggie Oliver, who have taken his accusations seriously.

What I do know is that Sadiq Khan’s statement in 2016 that there were no reported cases and no indication of grooming gangs in London was very likely to be untrue. His deflection on the subject ever since is unedifying.

Do you object to a national enquiry specifically into the grooming gangs?

I Googled and genuinely can't find a written account of what Jon Wedger has accused Sadiq Khan of. Or even what Maggie Oliver has accused Sadiq of? If they're widely available, can you link to the written source?

Do you object to a national enquiry specifically into the grooming gangs?

No, I don't, and an inquiry has been approved.

I mean, the victims of the gangs didn’t have their accusations investigated initially as they ‘weren’t credible’.

There’s an underlying current of ‘we will only investigate something when the people we like and respect are making the claims and it becomes unavoidable’.

Grooming gangs is such a widespread, insidious issue that we have reached a point where any and all allegations need investigating. If he’s the Mayor, even more reason to clear his name, wouldn’t you say?

What do you mean 'clear his name'? Are you suggesting Sadiq Khan is in a grooming gang or covering up for grooming gangs?

JackandSallySkellington · 21/10/2025 20:10

nomas · 21/10/2025 20:04

You confidently asserted that the allegations about Sadiq Khan need to be investigated and that there are multiple allegations of Sadiq Khan denying their existence and his stonewalling.

You now admit you have no idea whether they are credible and you can't even quote what you think Jon Wedger even said.

It's always the same, spurious allegations in the gutter press which are designed to appeal to those looking for an excuse to believe articles with titles such as 'I exposed Sadiq Khan's grooming''. And you're complicit in it.

I refuse to click on a Daily Express link. I'd firstly say that you might want to consider that the Daily Express are being politically motivated to attack Sadiq Khan, and even more so when the only newspapers to cover this are also from the right, so the Daily Mail, The Sun and of course GB News. From looking at a reliable site, so gov.uk and records of questions to the mayor, this seems to have been dug up from a question asked by that great genius Susan Hall from Jan of this year. How are the facts as you see them, OP? Do you check your sources also?

@nomas I have no idea whether or not he’s credible. That’s why, given its scope and scale, a national enquiry specifically into the grooming gangs would seem like a good idea. It is after all what many of the victims are asking for.

Much as I hate the Murdoch empire if you look at the stats white perpetrators are more likely to carry out child sex abuse, so why do we only hear about Muslim grooming gangs.....
news.sky.com/story/child-sex-abuse-and-grooming-gangs-what-we-know-and-what-we-dont-from-the-data-13285420

There has been no accurate data kept on the ethnicity of criminals.

We don’t ’only hear about Muslim grooming gangs’, it’s just they’re so common in seemingly every city with a large Muslim population that naturally it sounds like we do.

I mean just check out this absolute shocker by Al Jazeera. ‘Grooming’ in inverted commas, and almost instantly leaping into how unfair it is that these convictions are fuelling the far right, while reporting on these men being found guilty for raping girls. And the obligatory sob story about Tommy Robinson.

UK court convicts 7 men for ‘grooming’, systematic abuse of teens

Gang ringleader is sentenced to 35 years in prison for abuse; others get a minimum of 12 years.

I read the article linked by the OP and can't see any reference to Pakistani grooming gangs.

I also recall Khan talking about his knowledge of (criminal) gang based exploitation in a video of him responding to questions about grooming gangs.

I suspect that for some people their interest in victims of sexual exploitation is in using it to attack political opponents rather than prevent future abuse, punish perpetrators or help those affected.
