The most important decision a woman will ever make is

Who the father of her children will be.

I'd love to think it isn't true, but it is. Who the mother of a man's children is important, but it doesn't impact every aspect of their life, career, health, financial situation in the same way.

OP posts:

I’d agree. Marrying the wolf in sheep’s clothing certainly fucked up the rest of my life. He lives in luxury, I’m left scrabbling around trying to survive with a disabled now adult child

Westfacing · 14/10/2025 17:08

Many years ago Julie Birchall wrote words to the effect that working class girls have only to make one bad decision to fuck up their lives.

I agree.

Redpeach · 14/10/2025 17:07

pregnancy is not always a choice

Squirrelblanket · 14/10/2025 17:04

Hard disagree, many women choose not to have children at all.

Toofficeornot · 14/10/2025 17:01

Is to decide to start telling everyone to fuck off and do it themselves if they want it done.

Deedeebob · 14/10/2025 17:00

Idiotic thread

Namechangerage · 14/10/2025 16:58

On a serious note, I do agree actually OP!

Poppadoms or bread?

What kind of psychopath chooses between the two? Both is the correct answer!

CharliesAngles · 14/10/2025 16:57

Ah feck.
Now you tell me.
There I was dithering whether to go Jam berliner or sticky cinnamon bun at lidl earlier.
And I thought that was tricky ...

Arlanymor · 14/10/2025 15:08

I can't have kids. So I guess none of my decisions are important. Good to know.

I don't agree with the original post. And setting aside the fact that the poster did not say that it's the only important decision that you'll ever make but rather the most important, when somebody posts something is it really necessary for them to post every single eventuality and caveat or can people just read it and assume that it doesn't apply to them and scroll past?

Fantomflangeflinger · 14/10/2025 16:50

For both genders, who you marry. You will spend your life with them hopefully.

notacooldad · 14/10/2025 16:49

I think the most important decision I had to make was whether to stay alive for a bit longer or not.

Im glad ( for now) I (literally) chose life.

How insulting.

Reducing women to breeding heifers.

What about those who don’t want/can’t have children? I ask that as a woman with a child btw.

This. A woman is far more than her reproductive choices.

Poppadoms or bread?

And still or sparkling?

madaboutpurple · 14/10/2025 16:48

More importantly to choose milk, dark or white chocolate .

Hard to see how you got from decisions women make (themselves, in an empowered way), to 'breeding heifers '!?

Seems as if you'd be able to find offence in just about anything 😁

Get out of bed & pee. You'll only half sleep if you don't. I'm trying to remember this now I'm on medication that makes me wake up needing a wee in the night when without the medication I don't 🙇🏻‍♀️

If it's BP, there's alternatives.

This is the ultimate question.

To pee or not to pee.

😂

ViciousCurrentBun · 14/10/2025 16:41

Economic viability and independence.

Upstartled · 14/10/2025 16:39

jeaux90 · 14/10/2025 16:34

Sorry @Upstartledbeen there too so I do understand this but money/career still = choices/SHL. (Shit hot lawyer)

No, sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was in that situation. Just that I've seen it again and again on MN and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

WFHforevermore · 14/10/2025 16:39

What a weird thing to think.

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 14/10/2025 16:39

I'd say it's how she is going to maintain her financial independence.

She can do what she likes with that freedom.

If you re read the post you’ll see the OP never said that at all

Triple carbs, I like your style.

Don’t forget the chips on the side !
