Men violently preventing women from congregating, communicating and networking, is what the Taliban do. Why is it happening in the UK?

The FiLiA Women's Liberation Conference was targeted overnight, the attackers even live tweeted the violence.

Local politicians are so far silent.

This is literally terrorism, using fear and violence to shut down legitimate peaceful discussions.

Live: Venue vandalised and protesters demonstrate at feminist conference

The Brighton Centre has been vandalised as a feminist conference begins there today.

No, me saying that upset people will respond is a fact. Every protest, every riot, every act of terrorism, every conflict in human history has started because people felt strongly enough about something to take action.

Pointing that out is not legitimizing or making excuses for them, unless you don't know what those words mean.

No, plenty of people are 'upset' over things, realise they have no grounds to be and work through those feelings to engage productively with society.

The reason these men have not done that is that they are violent thugs who hate women.

Dear, dear Kimura. We see what you're doing. We've been around the #TWAW block a few times. We can spot a disingenuous poster, who just keeps and keeps and keeps on posting, all the while telling us how reasonable they are and how they don't necessarily support the men in dresses, they're just talking things through and asking us wimmin to consider certain questions and issues.

Honestly, do you think we were born yesterday 😂

Well you're entirely wrong, but crack on.

Some of you do seem like you were born yesterday, yes.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 12/10/2025 10:19

What @LooseCanyon said. And now I see I’m “obsessed”, unlike that pp of course who has been pushing this goady nonsense since the beginning of the thread.

You still haven’t said why men use violence and women such as FWS don’t not.

Yes I have.

KeepTalkingBeth · 12/10/2025 10:06

Yep.

Presumably they want it to become a right that they're entitled to?

Therefore, simply put, they just want to be in womens spaces, mainly the toilets?

Kimura · 12/10/2025 10:18

Ereshkigalangcleg · 12/10/2025 10:08

So far you have:

implied women are silly for being worried about violent trans rights activists, despite women having been assaulted by them on several occasions

told women they should be embarrassed by being intimidated by a group of violent men who hate us, because apparently their shite manifesto makes them incapable of hitting women

told women who asked you perfectly reasonable questions about your disingenuous flip flopping between justifying their activism and pretending you haven’t that they “must be on the wine”

implied that Filia was being provocative having a conference on TRA’s turf and should expect violent opposition, despite the number of lesbians there who are affected.

completely minimised this action and women’s concerns about these men.

So no.

You seem obsessed. I haven't even looked at your username. Are you keeping notes or did you just go back through 15 pages for all that?

LooseCanyon · 12/10/2025 10:18

Kimura · 12/10/2025 09:59

And posters like Kimura would have lurkers believe that these men are somehow righteous, or push the both sides argument.

How many times do I have to say that I don't believe in what they stand for?

The tribalism here is frankly pathetic, to the point that anyone who strays an inch from the consensus narrative must be a secret trans activist or supporter.

Its not 'understandable' for men to feel the need to threaten, harass, intimidate women. Its not necessary.

If TRAs want to fight really hard for their cherished right to see women naked, they'll need to pursue that campaign through political means.

Quite.

Kimura · 12/10/2025 10:16

TheKeatingFive · 12/10/2025 10:04

You are saying 'upset people will respond and that very act IS legitimising and making excuses for them.

They have no grounds to be upset, they're just violent thugs who hate women - same as the incels.

Your attempts to make excuses for them, while pretending you aren't, are very transparent.

Imagine admitting that you're intimidated by that lot. How embarrassing.

What, by violent and aggressive men in balaclavas? Fwiw most teenage boys after the age of around 14 are probably capable of physically harming most adult women. Shaming women for being wary of men who vocally and openly wish them harm, and are capable of delivering it is despicable.

Isn't it frustrating when someone keeps harping on about trans rights but are unable to tell us what those missing rights are?

As frustrating as people repeatedly asking the same question they already know the answer to?

CohensDiamondTeeth · 12/10/2025 10:05

Kimura · 12/10/2025 09:51

Oh well! In that case, I guess it's all alright then!

TheKeatingFive · 12/10/2025 10:04

Kimura · 12/10/2025 09:38

So you're presenting them as a poor marginalised group, fighting for their 'rights' but can't even bring yourself to say what these are? What does that tell you?

I'm not presenting them as anything, it's a fact that they're a tiny minority.

I don't need to tell you anything, especially something you quite clearly already know. You asking is telling me that you don't actually have anything useful to add to the conversation yourself.

And you're arguing that 'upset' people will react. But there are legitimate grounds to being upset and illegitimate grounds. What do you think is going on here?

I'm not arguing it, it's a fact. If someone is upset, it's obviously legitimate to them, isn't it? Otherwise they would be upset.

Should we be fine with everyone who is 'upset' going round smashing windows? No of course not. These misogynists need to grow the hell up and act like reasonable adults. Why are you still making excuses for them?

I haven't made a single excuse for them, this is something you've made up in your own head and are now arguing against a position that doesn't exist.

Saying that I understand why people might behave in a certain way isn't 'making excuses for them'.

You are saying 'upset people will respond and that very act IS legitimising and making excuses for them.

I don’t think that pp has anything particularly valuable to contribute to this conversation.

I know, but they were still a useful vehicle for me to put some points across, and as a bonus they asked for some links which other people will now be able to read.

There's a silver lining in every interrupteron 😉

CohensDiamondTeeth · 12/10/2025 10:00

Kimura · 12/10/2025 09:50

Sorry to nit pick but that is incredibly contradictory isn't it? They're men, but not men, how does that work?

Read it again.

Men are not a minority. These are men.

I said I agree that they are men. I said it's not 'men' fighting for trans rights. The subsection of men who are fighting for trans rights are a minority compared to the people opposing them, this is a fact.

If you're not willing or able to understand that, I'm not bothering to read the rest of your post.

That's fine, other people will read it, then they'll read your reply to it and be able to draw their own conclusions.

Trans identified men are still men, even if you swaddle them, ever so gently, in quotation marks.

If there is nothing tangible or measurable to distinguish men from other men who happen to have trans identities, well it becomes clear that they are just bog standard men.
