Sadiq Khan. Can anyone tell me something positive about what he has done?

So the past few days I've unfortunately gone down a bit of a rabbit hole of clips about the Mayor of London.

From what I have seen the man is an utter buffoon who has done nothing to improve London, in fact quite the opposite.

Strikes increasing. Homelessness increasing. Crime - off the charts. Congestion zone charges etc.

And don't get me started on the deputy who seems to be from another planet!

I am not from London, so just wondering if anyone at all has anything positive at all to say about this catastrophe of man!

If you're not from London, why do you care? I love here and think he's great.

Honestly, the man is a fairly unexciting, soft-leftish Labour politician who has succeeded in some areas and done less well in others. He’s broadly liked in London, which is the only area where his popularity should be relevant. It’s fascinating and depressing that so many people seem to view him as some sort of moustache-twirling supervillain.

Is it just me or there more right wing/hate threads recently? Sadiq Khan is brilliant. He has introduced new bus routes that have changed my life for the better: ULEZ has helped to clean up the air (in comparison, I was in Greece on holiday during the summer and the pollution was over-powering) and I feel crime is a lot better than it could be in a major city. I think he’s done a great job. I wonder how many of these rabbit hole videos are being posted by people trying to stir up trouble for their own ends…….

And also things that don't benefit us that much but are fun, like big public celebrations for different cultures in Trafalgar Square (Diwali this weekend) and the street decorations/lights for Eid, plus giving permission for the Big Orange Baby balloon 😂 👍

The ULEZ is ace, it has really made a difference to ar quality here.

I bloody love the bus hopper fare and the superloop buses. I got the new Bakerloop bus yesterday!

What exactly is it about promient, brown, Muslim politican Sadiq Khan that some non Londoners seem to hate so much.

all this is psy op rubbish.

I can't say I've ever been interested in what another mayor is doing in his own region or why people vote for him.

ULEZ is fine, add more bus routes and bus lanes are helpful. hopefully he can't get them till they're eventually an actual alternative to tubes.

those theft and bike thefts are up because police refuse to follow up or make the effort to find TRACKED devices and are seen as high effort low reward intermediate of police numbers.

Maybe if there wasn't so much competition for low skilled work and high costs of living you'd have less of this theft as it can't pay that much and most of it large scale organised crimes rather than chancers.

Sadiq Khan is not batman.

Also, question yourself why you feel so deeply about the mayor of a place you don’t even live in…. And think again about the agenda of these videos you’ve been watching. They have pretty much served their purpose, got you all riled up when you’re not even affected by the policies he’s implemented (or not)!! Cop on love!
