I dont blame them. I would if I were Jewish.

They have been failed by their country, which is the UK. I wish them well and hope the UK can sort its anti semitism problems so it becomes safe for Jewish people again.

Read this - from The Times - these protestors give no fucks about peace.

Hamas gives no fucks about peace. They won't accept the current peace treaty offering - as an internationally recognised and condemned terrorist organisation, with no legitimacy., Hamas is refusing to disarm, and refusing any settlement in which they cannot dominate.

I judge them by their actions in this. It is telling that they refuse to disarm.

They want to keep killing Jews. It's the central principle of their organisation.

I can't get my head around the fact that many Jewish schools in the UK have security. Insane. I can't think of any other group where having to do this would be tolerated.
Our leaders have turned our country into an absolute cess-pit.
I totally understand why some Jewish people feel the need to leave.
Ashamed & disgusted of the UK.

My non-Jewish friends couldn't believe we had security for the synagogue part of our wedding. I hadn't even thought twice about it, it's just always there.

It's been quite normal here for some years. It's been normal in Russia for several decades.

Israel itself is under constant attack from its neighbours who mostly basically want Israel and Jews wiped off the face of the earth. Israelis are mostly kept safe by the "iron dome" - otherwise we'd be hearing almost daily about the rocket attacks.

I'm not sure people in the UK quite understand this.

Not many, all. And all synagogues, Jewish community centers and organisations. There’s very tight security, has been for a long time. My DCs went to a Jewish school which was like Fort Knox. In comparison there’s a local non-denominational secondary near me - you can walk straight up to the entrance.

Edited to saw thanks for your support.

I don’t need to go back centuries. I would say how Britain and France gave out land after the second world war (with no rights to do so)

Chiaseedling · 06/10/2025 16:28

Santasjingleballs · 06/10/2025 14:02

I didn’t say Jews I said zionists….

And your source is!?! Complete Billy bullshit.

Onmytod24 · 06/10/2025 16:21

You don’t have to reach back in history to know that it didn’t start on October 7. Any idiot would know that.

So where would you draw the line then? When did the conflict start according to you?

Onmytod24 · 06/10/2025 16:21

inamarina · 06/10/2025 16:06

Why is challenging misinformation “stirring up hatred”?
”Reaching back into centuries ago” - do you realise that people on the pro-Palestinian side also keep insisting it didn’t start on October 7th?

I’m just looking at the blank page and shaking my head. Why are you so interested in Stirring up hatred? Just why? the fact that you reached back into centuries ago to claim something or other is ridiculous.

All of this.

People need education. Jewish people have always lived in the middle east (and elsewhere). Judaism is older them Islam. The Ottoman empire was in the middle east with their colonisation... Palestinian people do not have the right to the entire area, all of it wasn't stolen as people pretend! So much misinformation.

Antisemitism is wrong and growing.

So utterly ridiculous. ‘ Palestinian people do not have the right to the entire area’…..but Isreal do? That’s exactly what ISRAEL think are committing a genocide to do so! Please go and educate !

But if you were to join the IRA with the great hunger as your justification that would be about revenge.

Jewish people train to defend their homeland from future threat, one which has always been pretty severe from all angles.

your comparison is like Isreal bombing the shit out of Germany because they’re still traumatised and and vengeful.

Some food for thought - You Think There is a Genocide in Gaza

I don't need your help.
I'm pointing out... people have NOT become haters of Jewish people.
They are protesting the Israeli governments genocidal actions. The rest of the world isn't happy about it either... given Netanyahu's charges of war crimes.

If you can't see that- I cant help you either...

OMG. How many times do I have to point out the obvious! It is a question of your language. You did not mention Israeli politics in your former post. You mentioned Jews. Do you seriously not get it?

No one is disputing the actions of the israeli government, so don't start diluting that you said. Take some responsibility for your antisemitic language.

Anyway, i'm not dealing with you anymore.

Thank you for this thread. The answer for us is either Israel (if and when war finishes) or the US.
It isn’t that I feel hugely unsafe here yet, it’s more that I think it’ll become unsafe for my children.

Do you considerandatory conscription a safe option for them?

Barnbrack · 06/10/2025 15:58

Honeycottage · 06/10/2025 15:52

But your comment is antisemitic. The attack was against Israel by terrorists not "the Jewish people'. In the same way, the Jewish people are not responsible for Israeli foreign policy!
Conflating them is antisemitic, albeit that I think you mean well.

It was Jewish people who were attacked and them my sympathy lay with is what I mean.

PevenseygirlQQ · 06/10/2025 15:55

think you’ve replied to the wrong person, I think you mean @Onmytod24

cathyj77 · 06/10/2025 15:54

@PevenseygirlQQ It's not paranoia, it's the fact that they're chanting slogans calling for Israel's destruction. Hope that helps!

And to be clear I'm not anti semitic, my first serious relationship was with a Jewish man, I very much started off in 2023 after the attacks by Hamas on the side of the Jewish people being attacked and dragged off. Now? Murdering and dehumanizing hundreds of thousands of children so systematically? How can anyone think that is acceptable?

@PevenseygirlQQ Yes, I think what we might disagree about is what proportion of the marchers have good vs bad motives. I agree that they should have the legal right to protest by the way, so I'm not questioning the legality, just the morals.

I believe comfortably over 50% of the people on those marches believe Israel should be wiped off the map. Which is anti-semitic enough for me.

No-one holding any signs or chanting any slogans calling for a two-state solution is another giveaway.

I don't know if you read Matthew Syed's piece in the Times this weekend where he asked some of the protestors what there reasons for protesting were? It didn't make comfortable reading...

Your belief that 50% of matter is want Israel to be wiped off the map that is a ridiculous percentage the number of people in the world who want another country to be wiped off the map it’s just paranoia you’re being fed by other people or you just like it for some weird reason, I don’t get it how you can describe a ridiculous opinion to 60% of people on a March.
