WTAF?
Is this a new thing? Do people know how absolutely ridiculous they look? (Seen people wearing them on tv.)
I thought false eyelashes that make women look like Bambi were bad enough..

If people wear them when they're on TV, they make them everyone else's business.

Nope.

Livpool · 06/10/2025 12:16

I have used them - in the house. No one cared 🤷🏼‍♀️

sunflowersintheday · 06/10/2025 12:13

You can actually buy slug beauty products, supposed to be good for the skin.

Op, are you a man? Lots of men love telling women to smile at their oh so funny jokes!

Oh I agree...."cheer up darling!" , or "smile, love, I was only joking!".
Really irksome.

@JHound There's always one..
I'm just having a laugh, not getting at anyone in real life. Smile, it might do you good.

@Fabellini They are the ones!
I couldn't believe my own eyes!

Why, are you wearing them too?

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 06/10/2025 12:07

ShesTheAlbatross · 06/10/2025 08:03

But surely you don’t wear them out? They’re like a face mask (not a Covid face mask, a cosmetic one), that you put on at home

This! It's part of a beauty regime, not a fashion accessory.

cornflakecrunchie · 06/10/2025 12:03

Ok, thanks girls for having a laugh, the rest of you, enjoy your misery.

What are you on about ’do people know how ridiculous they look’? They are not wearing them as an accessory.

Telling women to smile is an extremely loaded statement that reeks of misogyny.

For that alone you're being deeply twattish

And there it is, no one wanted to join in with my bitching so I'll pretend I'm just joking. The smile it might do you good is particularly douchey.

Why are women’s fashion choices your business?

If people wear them when they're on TV, they make them everyone else's business.

Branster · 06/10/2025 07:54

Ah the under eye patches! It's a face mask for under eyes. Anti puffiness, tiredness, ageing anti this and that. Presumably these people don't go out wearing them?
It makes sense to wear them at home, like having hair rollers in. Or a sheet face mask.

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 06/10/2025 00:43

Let's put women down about their appearance yet again!

Yawn.

It's not putting women down to look at people wearing certain fashion items or doing certain things to their appearance and think it looks totally ridiculous. It's called using your critical facilities.
Fashion relies on people being sheep andI'm.not prepared to be a sheep.

I mean... They're not permanent fixtures to their face (not that you should criticise them if they were. If they're happy, that's all that matters) so I don't see your problem? Lots of people are into skincare, and these are part of skincare.

OP has said it's the under eye patches not the eyelashes. It seems there are multiple ways to wear slugs on your face.

JHound · 06/10/2025 01:42

Mistyglade · 06/10/2025 01:41

I’ve seen them on Towie! I thought they were like funny anti wrinkle patches you keep on for a while, like the curlers you see them wearing! No?

rosyvalentine · 06/10/2025 01:40

I think these are the ones the OP is talking about!
