I don't want to go to work tomorrow because.......

I have an essay to write
I would rather practice my piano
I don't want to work any more
I want to sit under a blanket and watch Netflix
I am so over this working for a living lark

Why else don't you want to go to work tomorrow?

Having worked for last 29 years, pretty much full time, I've had enough! Would quite happily just hang out on the sofa.

Just under 15 years to go and I'll hopefully be bailing out at 60.

also our office is full of folk who are about half my age and I have absolutely nothing in common with cos I’m old enough to be their parent! But I also get bored WFH all the time!

You could cut the atmosphere with a knife at the moment. I’m working alone, which makes the hours drag and drag. I wish I could take the dog with me, but for no real reason whatsoever I can’t

Because my electric, heating & water went off because of the storm on Friday afternoon and is still not fixed

I’m cold, unwashed, unable to use a toilet, have lost the contents of my fridge & freezer (and I’d just done an M&S shop before it went off)

Totally fed up and unprepared for returning to work tomorrow

I would feel exactly the same in your situation. 🤦‍♀️

Because I'm knackered.
Because I am tired of having the same conversations over and over again.
Because even though I love my job, it is mentally exhausting at the minute.
Because I want to bake scones and cook soup.
Because DD is at loggerheads with DH and me, and I want a day of quiet.

Me too! I don’t want to go to work tomorrow as have a horrendous backlog and all the £s just goes on bills. If work was so great the rich would’ve kept more of it for themselves!

My boss is a cunt and I’ve got to produce a report that I haven’t had time to write. Meant to catch up over the weekend but left my laptop at work.

I want to get on with decorating my house.
Don’t seem to find the time at the weekends too busy shopping, cleaning and running about for the kids.

Because my workplace has a prevalent toxic culture.
I really enjoy my actual job...but dear God there are some long-standing bad apples in that place. Ugh.

Because I’ve been off since MIL died 3 weeks ago, FiL spent half the 3 weeks in hospital with a suspected heart attack and DH & his siblings managed to have several ‘discussions’ around arrangements for the funeral that really upset him & his mental health has tanked.

Work were suppportive but I’d rather be home with DH, the cat & the dog.
