Why why why are they like this!!!

My boyfriend stayed overnight at my house for the first time on Wednesday.

We both had yesterday off so had a lazy morning watching tv in bed.

He broke wind really loud and grabbed my head and forced it under the covers, I couldn’t move from under them for about 10 seconds.

He thought it was hilarious, I told him I’m a 37 year old woman and don’t appreciate that.

I think it’s the fact we’d not long been intimate and he was being really jokey.

I told one of my friends who found it amusing and said it’s a sign he’s comfortable around me which is good, but I don’t agree!

Is he 17? I'd be appalled though I do know some people might find it funny. Now you've made your views known, I'd hope that he never does it again. If he does, dump him immediately. It would show he has no respect for you or your wishes.

I couldn't be with anyone that physically forced me to do anything against my will, I don't give two shits if he thought it was funny, I'd be out at that one.

These are exactly the sort of pricks that smash wedding cake into their brides faces and hair and stand their laughing.

You also need a new friend.

It would be an end to the relationship for me. Even if he apologised and promised never to do it again, and meant it - nevertheless he's shown me that we are intellectually mismatched.

That would be the end for me. I have been with my husband 17 years and NEVER has he done or would do that. I had many boyfriends in my younger years - NONE of them would do that.

That’s something my 6 year old would have done to his little sister.
He grew out of it by about 9. How old is your boy?

The farting aspect proves he’s a juvenile immature prick but many posters are missing the most significant red flag that when a man physically restrains you against your will, even if it’s for seconds, that’s extremely scary and concerning.

He’d be dumped in a heartbeat. And I’d be telling him why on the off chance that he may reflect and change his ways and some other poor woman won’t be subject to that moronic and entitled behaviour in future.,

This. This was a violent act, where he used the advantage of his male strength to dominate you.

If, having had that explained to him, he was utterly contrite and deeply apologetic, I would perhaps consider continuing the relationship on the basis that anything even approaching a repeat of this behaviour would be the end.

If he minimised my feelings the relationship would end immediately.

It is absolutely a deal breaker, not because it was horrible and childish, although it was, or because it was disgusting, although it was, but because he used his greater strength to overpower OP and hold her in a situation she did not want to be in. I would never be with someone who would do that.
