Migrants get up to £2000 on bankcard after prison sentences

Just watched 47 migrants being deported, costing hundreds of thousands, private flights, huge number of security guards, the migrants then get given cash cards! Back to Romania after committing crimes here including murder, sexual offences, pedophiles with money to help them resettle in their own country.

ITV news - our own go hungry and cold.

We are total mugs here in the UK.

On a separate story migrants having taxis to appointments, free NHS. I mean we have to get to our own way.

Mugs. No wonder many people are unhappy. These are convicted criminals, being pandered to.

I'm on this thread obviously..but in real life I'm at the point where I don't bother discussing this stuff any more.
I do follow the polls and the current mood ,and there is no doubt at all , reform are our next government
Starmer is not going to call an early election, nor will his back benchers,,they are here to get their money ,to coast along for the next 4 years ,unable to make the necessary changes needed to keep reform out .
I didn't know migrants get a gift card of £2000 as golden goodbye..but I can't say it surprises me ..I do hope they are finger printed and in the system to stop them using that £2000 to pay a smuggling gang to bring them straight back and in to a cozy hotel...but it wouldn't surprise me if that is exactly where the £2000 goes .
It's a shit show currently

YelloDaisy · 25/09/2025 05:51

This is ridiculous - the posters here must have v comfortable lives - it’s not us that’s mugs it’s a useless Gov.

Nestingbirds · 25/09/2025 05:41

Along with taxis I think we can safely say Reform really are going to be our next government.

I really didn’t think we would ever see this in my lifetime, but the utter abject failure of the Conservative’s infighting and poor behaviour - and Labour’s total incompetence and paralysis (if Starmer even makes it to Christmas that is given the state of this administration is in will be a miracle)

The Labour government have shown themselves to be utterly useless, and even the most devoted will never vote for this mess again. Ed Davey is the biggest clown and can not be taken seriously.

There is literally no one else to vote for… either reform or abstain it seems. I can see an early election being called, we really can not go on as we are. We will be bankrupt in four years….

BumpyaDaisyevna · 25/09/2025 05:38

It would cost more to enter into a contract with eg Serco or another security company to remove them in handcuffs etc etc. The two grand is a lot cheaper!

So. Judge & jury & conviction without due process. FFS hello 1939 - how you been.? My papa didn’t die for you lot to clap welcome to fascism in the uk

Yawn. Have you not evolved from calling everyone who doesn't agree with you on immigration a fascist? What if its a blonde e haired immigrant is it still fascism then to not want uncontrolled immigration?

LBFseBrom · 25/09/2025 05:24

For a moment I thought this site was the Daily Mail.

How do you know these are all criminals?

It's been repeatedly reported today that deportation and 2K is far cheaper than keeping them here.

Doesn’t make it right though does it

Theoturkeyistheonlyturkeyonmytable · 25/09/2025 05:10

Anyone who is currently here and can't apply for a passport for whatever reason, has 4years to plan what they will do when reform takes over .
Anyone planning on coming here ,will surely to goodness find out about the country they are hoping to settle in ,and see all the anger towards immigration, and , reform are constantly in the news ,no one could say reform have not been Cristal clear about their plans ...so anyone continuing to still come here ,by whatever means ,will know exactly what to expect.

xanthomelana · 25/09/2025 05:09

If they commit a crime they should be immediately deported with no cash bribe. It shouldn’t even be a debate, no crime is victimless and if anything happened to me I’d feel better knowing that the person was deported. Unfortunately we’ve got enough homegrown criminals that we can’t deport without adding to the numbers.

Theoturkeyistheonlyturkeyonmytable · 25/09/2025 05:04

A succession of weak government has got us here
Without a doubt it's a reform government next time ,and we all need to plan for that ,and how it will effect each of us .
Those who have current ilr need to be applying for the British passport while they can ,and those that can't ,need to be planning on what they will do in 4 years time .

Nestingbirds · 25/09/2025 05:00

This really does need to be taken seriously, the lefties writing ‘yawn’ and ‘Hi Nige’ are they deliberately pushing for our country to break out in riots across the nation do we think?
Or are they just too thick to see how damaging their rhetoric is?

Dismissing 79% of the population’s opinion that action must be taken on immigration seems highly dangerous and provocative to me - especially given we have a government paralysed by indecision and inaction.

CrispyK · 24/09/2025 22:36

It’s like an incentive to become a career criminal tourist. Anything to actually stop them from repeatedly entering the country, committing a minor crime, short stay in prison then back home on a free flight with £2k in the bank?

I think they take biometric data so thry know which undocumented migrants are returning for another go in freebie Britain.

I don't know if these get insta-deported or another few weeks of hotel life

beachcitygirl · 25/09/2025 04:44

yawn. Same old same old. Zero critical thinking. We actually live in a country where the law matters. People cannot be deported without due process.
man offer of voluntary deportation & some money is a LOT cheaper & quicker than court process.
if however you want to change into a country without due process and diligence change your username please to missfascist123

spoonbillstretford · 25/09/2025 04:40

NoSoupForU · 24/09/2025 22:31

This is the voluntary scheme, yes? They're incentivised to return home because it is far less complex, and subsequently far less expensive, for us to process.

They aren't illegal immigrants or asylum seekers. They are people who lived here with the right to remain.

The taxi costs for asylum seekers is due to health care provision not moving with the individual when they move them across the country and isn't the norm. Or do you think we should be expecting an asylum seeker to make their own way on a 250 mile trip to see a doctor, paying from their £9 a week?

Why do we need to send legal immigrants home at all?

3tumsnot1 · 25/09/2025 04:14

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 22:19

Crazy. Just deport with no money.

It tells you why they pay in the article. Did you not read it?

‘It has long been the case that we do offer financial packages as an incentive to people to drop their claims and drop the attempts they make to stay in our country, and to board a flight and leave,"

it is pretty clear why they are going it…. they are paying them off as it’s far cheaper than going through the courts to try and remove them legally.

Crake1792 · 25/09/2025 03:36

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 24/09/2025 22:26

He’s not ‘getting votes’. He’s currently leading in some polls almost four years before a general strike election might be called based on populist policies he doesn’t have a plan for.

Well yes reform are getting votes, they did at the last general election and they gained a huge number of votes in the recent local elections, ultimately winning 677 seats. This was more than 30% of the seats being contested.

I do agree there are some very dodgy deals there. I am central to leaning left (used to be called liberal) but I think a PP had it nailed that if you are resident or citizen in the UK and you have been convicted of a serious crime (12 months plus). Then you relinquish all rights your residence in the UK and benefits. Yes it might cost the tax payers to get the criminals back home, but I surely do not agree to a 2k bankcard.

Edited

There is no "might cost" about it - it will most definitely cost money to deport criminals and if you're only offering 50p as an incentive to leave voluntarily ie. not legally challenge, then you would have no takers.

zanycranium · 25/09/2025 02:35

Do you have a source/link to the articles you're talking about?

Chickensky · 25/09/2025 02:21

Happyjoe · 24/09/2025 23:42

Sounds cheap deal if gets people gone! Seriously tho, must be a good reason? Cheaper in the long run? Makes people want to leave? Bit like how taxpayers pay council tenants £1,000-£2,500 to downsize in property!

It's funny, all this uproar constantly over migrants about money. Why no uproar over how much money our gov's waste? Just watched that fast lane thing about PPE that the tories ran, billions of our money gone into their friends pockets, billions gone.... all our money. This sort of stuff is a real scandal and yet.. nothing, radio silence, no protests outside houses of parliament.

Ginmonkeyagain · 25/09/2025 02:04

It's the facilitated voluntaey return scheme and has been going on for ages. There is also one for homeless foreign nationals. Ir is a LOT cheaper and easier than forced deportations or keeping thwm in the system. Thia is the sort of pramatic cheap incentive scheme those yelling about immigrstion issues want.

HappiestSleeping · 25/09/2025 01:43

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 22:27

Yes, then people wonder why Reform attract voters. The 2 main parties to date have been useless. These are all criminals. Romania is their country. They aren't our problem.

What we need to spend the money on is our citizens, our homeless our poor, our children's education, the NHS.

One main party has been useless. That would be the Conservatives. Labour have increased the volume of people processed, and returned more people in the last year than the Conservatives did in the last six years.

The funny thing is that these statistics don't seem to make the headlines.

suburberphobe · 25/09/2025 01:41

These are all criminals. Romania is their country.

This is disgusting. Not all Romanians are criminals. I've met a few lovely hard-working ones.

Glad I don't know you in real life.

I’d happily go to an insurance based health system. I pay way more in NI than I ever would on private healthcare, as does DH and we only have one child, who also pays NI.
I could get a bloody good policy for what I pay each month.

The NHS is also dreadful and not fit for purpose. I’m going deaf in one ear but can’t get an appointment with a GP around my work and have been advised that the wait time for an ENT appointment is years anyway. I can’t believe anyone would think that it doesn’t need reform.

Private health care escalates. You think it's OK but you end up paying a fortune for every little extra. Yiu have no idea. Do you know what it's like in US. Most people here simply wouldn't get the treatment they need..

Clarabell77 · 25/09/2025 01:35

Ihatetomatoes · 24/09/2025 23:04

Nope, they didn't use bribes. They didn't want to go so were forcibly deported, that's not voluntary, it's against their wishes, being escorted by up to 7 security guards at the end of their prison sentences. The cash wasn't a bribe for volunteering to go. Just a little bonus.

I thought you watched it? The guy they interviewed said they are only supposed to get it if they go quietly. They don’t get it if they’re abusive etc.
