It’s so dangerous. I fear for the women living in the US right now. Under the dictatorship of the crazed orange odious one, it really does increasingly seem like Gilead…

I fear for them too.

I was shocked when I found out a majority of white women voted for Trump. A gross, venal, old sexual abuser.

Gotta be careful though, might get mistaken for Antifa cos there are some of the same letters 😹

I seriously want an "FAF" T shirt 😊

Had to google Antifa! YIKES.

Haha yes, on the tshirts. Myself and my mighty band of felines will start working on this right away. All profits will go to the FAF fund for our new life on whichever planet is deemed suitable (by the felines).

A non reaction is better.

It's what you do with toddlers.

Totally!

I saw the headline that last time they laughed and this time they were silent. I'm hoping it's not because they were scared but more aghast anyone could be so stupid.

I often disagree with the spin Chris M has on things these days.

Who'd trust a man who can't use an escalator ?

That well known medical expert Donald Trump 🙄
Seriously, what are his advisors on, letting him spout nonsense like this?!

I'm not suggesting any particular study. I'm am supportive of the coming studies and excited to read the results. Perhaps the placebo group will be babies born of families who were chasing on to vaccinate anyway - I have no idea as those details haven't been released. I

'm surprised that others are angry that scientific studies will be happening. People do get angry or dismissive (crazy anti science, anti vax etc) when people dare to talk about thorough testing of vaccines and it does tend to shut most up for fear of social rejection.

I wasn't calling anyone any names and would never denigrate people who disagree with me.

participants in trials are need to be randomly allocated to intervention or placebo group,

The only paracetamol I took for my entire first pregnancy were the ones they gave me at the hospital when I arrived to give birth! (Note: paracetamol is not an adequate level of pain relief for a back-to-back labour…) DS still has autism and ADHD.

Interesting that they didn’t go down the route of investigating the link to advanced paternal age. How old was Trump when Barron was born? 🤔

Indeed - in correlation studies the paternal age factor raises significant questions (tho both mine are autistic but DH was under 40, as am I and 2 half sisters and all our dads were all under 35 at the time of conception, so I suspect that’s another correlation that may lead nowhere🤷🏽‍♀️)

Chris Mason BBC political commentator was talking about this.
How in his first term they were openly laughing at him. Now they all say there too scared to do anything.

Remember this is the guy who said take horse dewormer to cure covid. Your hope is that only his supporters are dumb enough to follow his advice, this removing themselves from the gene pool.

And I’m sorry, all the idiots saying that the pharmaceutical companies should sue him, are - rather obviously - not lawyers. Politicians can’t be sued for lying (indeed in any country, including the UK).

Indeed. I saw that on the anti-vaxxer groups on Facebook I follow for fun - they were even administering Invermectin to their children - and sadly now they seem to refusing to give their kids paracetamol when they’re in pain or have a fever. They clearly didn’t read the study in question; it’s only because Trump said so.

CyanMaker · 24/09/2025 22:54

Did you all see his speech at the U.N.? He had to have help pronouncing the word acetaminophen .He sounded like a raving lunatic complaining about a stopped escalator and a malfunctioning teleprompter. I'm sure all the audience were impressed.

I took paracetamol in pregnancy and my 13 year old DS is not autistic…

And I googled as @CremeBruhlee suggested but came up with nothing relevant.

Avoidingsleep · 24/09/2025 22:13

TheSpiritofDarkandLonelyWater · 22/09/2025 23:15

I think the rise in ASD kids is due to ASD adults meeting up and having their own kids
Nothing wrong with that at all. Unless you think autistic adults should be prevented from meeting each other and having sex and then children.

Also, there is now a lot more understanding and recognition of autism and autistic traits. We have come a long way in ten or so years. Prior to that, unless you were at either end of the spectrum you were just classified as a bit weird rather than your brain working in a different way. Same with ADHD.

And as for recognising the differences of autism and ADHD in women, that’s even more recent.

Speckly · 24/09/2025 21:29

The man is just ridiculous! I’ve investigated this in depth and there is absolutely no evidence but lots of evidence to the contrary. So it may sound mean but the one benefit of all Trump’s shit for me is that when Kenvue shares dropped massively the other night, I bought a few grands worth at a very low price because after this crap is over they’ll obviously make me a nice little profit and even more if the pharmaceuticals sue 🎉 I somehow feel like I’ve got one over on Trump! 🤣

@BeHappySloth
As was pointed out on another thread he was voted in by a majority of voters in America who thought he was the right choice. The Democrats must bear some of the blame.

Indeed - but if Trump is the answer, what in God's name is the question? I would never vote for a senile old reality tv star however hacked off I was with the alternative!

sleepwouldbenice · 24/09/2025 20:28

BeHappySloth · 22/09/2025 22:03

I agree, but how was this man allowed to become the most powerful person on the planet?

Same way people are thinking of voting reform...

FeetLikeFlippers · 24/09/2025 20:18

This is the same guy who suggested injecting bleach as a cure for Covid, right? 🤷‍♀️

FeetLikeFlippers · 24/09/2025 20:13

I hadn’t even thought of that but you’re probably right! Most of his batshittery seems to be based on his fragile ego and personal vendettas rather than politics.

Edited

He was always going to be worse second time round settling scores real or imagined most of which being the second.
