"Autism is a condition in a state of slow flux. In 2021, a study found a 787% rise in the number of diagnoses between 1998 and 2018 in the UK"

Shouldn't we all be screaming and demanding a real answer to the horrific rise in autism?

Why aren't we?

Here is the conclusion of that 2021 study you linked to...

Conclusions
Increases could be due to growth in prevalence or, more likely, increased reporting and application of diagnosis. Rising diagnosis among adults, females and higher functioning individuals suggest augmented recognition underpins these changes.

It’s all to make them money The rich get Ritchier and the Poor get poorer, they will have bought shares in the company

The studies done to prove safety so far have used injections with adjuvants, or other vaccinations, as the 'placebo'. True inert placebo studies for any of the vaccines on the childhood schedule have never been done. Crazy isn't it? They've gotten away with so much and trained everyone to be aggressive towards those of us who value true science so we would shut up.

Crazy? They've 'gotten away' with not purposely exposing children to diseases that can kill them. "Trained everyone"? 🙄

It is perfectly reasonable to use established vaccines as the 'placebo' when testing a newer version of the same vaccine. Completely unethical and unnecessary to expose children to the disease when there is no need.

'True science'? 😂

Mark my words: this will be twisted to deny women treatment for illness during pregnancy and pain relief during labour to an even worse degree than is already present as doctors fear being sued or they just legislate it.

Going full Gilead.

If I was a woman in the US right now, I’d be looking to move just about anywhere else.

True this is just a step towards blaming women directly.

Isn’t it strange that pretty much the only drug that can be taken by a pregnant women for pain relief is the cause of Autism.

They want women to suffer and they want women with autistic children to feel guilt.

Even if the baby’s father displays a list of autistic traits, it won’t be that - it’s because you took a pill to bring down a fever.

This is defo Gilead shit. Can also already see the ‘sane washers’ in the thread attempting to make this announcement seem reasonable and encouraging people to do ‘their own research’.

Avantiagain · 23/09/2025 14:16

He'll be be banning all pain relief for pregnant women including during labour. Gilead here we come.

I think there could be a way to make vaccines safer. There is no incentive right now, as the manufacturers are cannot be sued for injury, so they can make profits and never face consequences. That was decided in 1986.

Meh.
"Thousands of peer-reviewed, high-quality studies involving hundreds of thousands of people and decades vaccines given to millions of people have shown that for the overwhelming majority of people, vaccines are safe"

This is completely non-scientific (and I realise this makes me sound no better than Trump) 🤡 but I wonder if it is a kind of natural mutation/adaptation to TMI, by which I mean too much information/stimulation in the world around us, especially post internet.

Oh, and expanded prescribing protocols.

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) depletes glutathione, the liver’s main antioxidant and detoxifying molecule. So any use of this drug carries a risk because harmful substances will be present in your body for longer or at higher levels than if it was completed avoided.

Avoiding it completely in pregnancy is a good idea. Along with avoiding many chemicals, dyes, and other pharmaceutical products as much as you can.

Autism is likely caused by many factors, genetic ones are not acting alone, there can still be dozens of environmental factors that increase the chance of developing autism to different severities, depending on your genetic predisposition.

The way that Acetaminophen is often combined with vaccines, in adults and children, is likely a harmful combination.

I really welcome these discussions, dig into the research papers, and make your own mind up there. You cant rely on the media/government to give you the information you need, you'll only find the information in the best interests of the companies that own our media.

Acetaminophen will deplete glutathione when taken in excess. It's not a secret that a paracetamol overdose will damage the liver and is extremely dangerous when taken in excess. Used, as advised, it is a safe and effective option. Not following recommended dosages and taking other medications containing paracetamol changes this.

Paracetamol, taken after vaccination for fever or pain is also a safe option.

A 24 year (plus follow up) cohort study published last year, which has been mentioned already on this thread, concluded that there was no evidence that paracetamol use during pregnancy was associated with autism, ADHD or intellectual disability. This study also took into account previously absent confounders so I'd rather accept this over two buffoons with zero medical qualifications with an agenda and their months long 'research' 🤷‍♀️

I have a condition where the genes are very similar to Autism and virtually everyone with this condition will have Autism too. Those of us who are adults were usually diagnosed with Autism first

I have an undiagnosed condition which my consultant believes is de novo. (Random) At my last appointment, my consultant asked my mum about her pregnancy with me and my birth, etc. Mum said it was all normal

I suspect we'll never find the cause and I do believe given how varied the spectrum is there are numerous causes for it

Agreed my son has de novo chromosome deletion, that the geneticist think is an underlying cause of his autism/ learning disabilities
Many people with the same or similar deletion, s have a diagnosis of, but as you know the spectrum is huge and impacts everyone differently
But not everyone with same or similar deletion s will have autism and not everyone with autism will have a chromosome deletion/ abnormality.

Yes, although for accuracy there's a bit more to the story

The precursors to paracetamol (acetaminophen) were two compounds developed in the 19th century: acetanilide and phenacetin. Here's a quick overview:
🔬 1. Acetanilide (discovered ~1886)
Origin: First synthesized in the 1850s but introduced as an antipyretic (fever reducer) in the 1880s.
Use: One of the earliest synthetic fever reducers and pain relievers.
Problems: Caused toxic side effects like methemoglobinemia (reduces oxygen delivery by red blood cells).
💊 2. Phenacetin (introduced ~1887)
Developed from: Acetanilide, with fewer side effects.
Use: Widely used for decades in over-the-counter remedies (e.g., APC tablets: aspirin, phenacetin, caffeine).
Withdrawn: Banned in many countries by the 1980s due to links with kidney damage and cancer.
✅ 3. Paracetamol (Acetaminophen)
Metabolite of both acetanilide and phenacetin.
Discovered: First synthesized in 1877 but largely overlooked until the mid-20th century.
Adopted widely: In the 1950s after its safety and efficacy were better understood.
Now: One of the most widely used pain and fever medications globally.
In short:
👉 Acetanilide → Phenacetin → Paracetamol
Paracetamol emerged as the safer and more effective descendant of these earlier drugs.
Acetanalide was phased out by the 1940s

I wish people would stop posting ChatGPT slop.

Now here’s a thing autism was first recognised as a condition in 1943. Paracetamol first hit the market as an off prescription medication in 1956! The increase in autism has nothing to do with paracetamol but the fact that there’s a far better understanding of it and diagnosis is far better! I was at school with girls who if they were at school now would almost certainly be diagnosed with autism and the same goes for my brother!

I shake my head at "posters" blaming the Democrats for electing Trump. Republicans have always talked about personal responsibility.....except when it's politically better to blame the Democrats to excuse/justify the president they elected and the sheer stupidities coming out of his mouth.

They elected an idiot knowing the big business control him. They also elected a wannabe dictator, which is what the Republicans have wanted for decades in the US. And they have him. They elected him.

I feel so sorry for the millions of Americans, understanding their country is becoming the dictatorship their founding fathers never wanted it to be.

The cause of autism is complex genetic. I have an autistic (adult) child and I didn’t touch any paracetamol or ibuprofen or indeed any drug at all during pregnancy.

I’m the same . 30 year old with autism. I didn’t ever take alcohol or paracetamol and ate only organic food . The stuff he’s saying about vaccines is terrifying because people will listen. So sad.

Have a lot of elderly relatives who are clearly autistic but obviously were never diagnosed as it was not a thing back then. Really eccentric behaviour I now highly suspect is autism. Things were easier in a way too then could leave school at 15. Trying to speak to my mother suggesting elderly relatives might be autistic despite very very obvious perculiarities and struggles throughout life just meets with an absolute refusal to even consider they might be. This is why rates are higher acceptance and increased diagnosis.

I welcome discussion too, but saying it's 'likely a harmful combination' is the sort of unfounded opinion (like Trump's) that can cause untold damage. It's just your speculation with no evidence to back it up.

I can imagine that the Amish lifestyle - no crowded environments, lots of familiarity and routine, more time outdoors etc would be more supportive of the nervous system and therefore easier on people with autism than our fast paced, busy and indoor lifestyles.

Agree with this.

My DH is on the spectrum and it is only because DS1 is autistic was that we realised he was too and DS2 is also on the waiting g list to be assessed.

He grew up with structure, doing hobbies that were considered normal for a boy his age. He excelled in maths and sports, plenty of friends, so nothing like the types some posters have said those with autism are. What his own family didn’t notice was his anxiety, low moods, and he has been more vocal about it now that he has gotten older because they are the types that go on and on about what he should be doing when he is prioritising his mental health.

As he has gotten older, the traits have become more obvious.

Growing up autism, wasn’t spoken about at all. ADD was what I heard about and how such kids just needed a good smacking and they’d act right 🙄. Other than that, it was visible disabilities.

As long as it didn’t cause what people considered an “issue” that didn’t really effect or disturb people too much, it wasn’t a problem (depending on who was doing it).
