Husbands chastity cage

I recently found a metal chastity cage (for a males anatomy) in my husbands cupboard. Obviously a bit of a shock.

For background - marriage isn't good, no sex for over 2 years, separate beds, talk of separating. Stayed together because of the kids tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting it elsewhere tbh. But a .... cage!? Wtf...

What would u think? I don't want to tell him I've found it (yet)

Surely she'd have all that equipment in her own place though, I didn't think a submissive would have to bring his own cage!

Not if the domanatrix or master told him to buy it. It would be part of the role, telling a manly man to embarrass himself buying it. (I wish I didn't know about this stuff).

Oh ouch! I looked them up. Amazon sells them. Other pages give How to Measure guides. Doesn't that last ring hurt?

IndigoBluey · 18/09/2025 22:38

If you are a keeper of the rodent family then I would suggest keeping this particular “cage” out of their sight. It won’t end well for rodent or man

AnotherDayanotherNameChangeX · 18/09/2025 22:38

At best it’s an only fans type set up where they’ll be teasing him etc whilst he’s caged then they decide when he’s allowed to ‘release’, at worst it’s someone in person.

either way you know you’re so much better off without him

PuggyPuggyPuggy · 18/09/2025 22:34

How did you google it when you didn't know what it was? What did you type in the search bar?

I've no idea what one is, and am too scared to search, but I guess if I found something really odd I'd google image search?

I found two of these during the course of my relationship (since ended), and it often used in a sub/dom relationship. My ex was using it online to have video calls and chats in X/Twitter. Like many others have asserted, there is often a ‘key holder’ that will only allow someone to get unlocked in exchange for servitude or payment. My ex spent all the money for our wedding and circa £40k. He also took out credit cards that I didn’t know about at the time, and changed bank accounts to hide his actions. It was truly devastating and ended our relationship. It is a world that I knew nothing about prior to finding it, and frankly, I hope never to know of it again. It’s so destructive, not to mention costly.
Do credit checks on yourself and assess your financial health generally. It often escalates to an addiction and so there may be debts you are not aware of.
p.s. having picked up one of these items from a wardrobe, I can confirm, not suitable for transporting small animals!

Hmm... I wonder if his reason for point blank refusing to discuss anything to do with separation / divorce, is because he knows he would likely have to declare all of his outgoings/bank statements to me - and I would obviously see payments to that kind of service wouldn't I!?

I know he went to see a solicitor (because I told him I had, and he should too). They likely would have told him he'd have to do that.

So what I know about it I'm not sure!

Not necessarily gay, aren't these usually used at the direction of some kind of Dominatrix, ordering a man around as a kind of submissive cuck? Hope it's not financial control as well OP. 😬

OK - so nobody thinks it could be a joke present from a friend? I'm not saying I do, but I thought that's what people would tell me they'd think and I was being overly suspicious. But obviously not...

I don't think this is the case.

Things like this are actually quite expensive, not something you'd buy just as a joke. And if it were a joke - you'd think he would have told you or thrown it out, not hid it at the back of the closet..

DontStopMeNowGoodTime · 18/09/2025 22:36

BeShyPlumLeader · 18/09/2025 22:11

Oh yes... the man was horrible to me, and selfish in bed. But I should have put out to hold on to him! Seriously?

Like I said, we are looking to separate (instigated by me I may add), and I'm not UPSET at this find, but a bit baffled and shocked. I genuinely wondered what people would think if they found it, and if they thought it could be a joke from a friend or if he's actually into weird stuff like this.

But either way - the marriage is basically done.

Why have you not had sex in so long? Was it due to him being selfish in bed?
Chastity cages are festish/S&M gear. Most likely he is watching extreme porn that has a domanatrix or "master". Also likely that he using that chat rooms and fetist sites.
That he'd never let you near his phone is a red flag, he's hiding more.
So sorry op. Why are men.

Heylittlesongbird · 18/09/2025 22:36

BeShyPlumLeader · 18/09/2025 22:25

No sorry - the chastity cage IS the bondage equipment. I haven't found anything else like that. And no it was never part of our sex life

Oh, get you. Sorry, it sounds really niche to me and not something a friend would give as a joke.

You genuinely sound like you'd be better off without him. But because of the whole situation, not just your discovery. I am constantly surprised by peoples predilections, this isn't something you're sharing in together and enjoying as a couple. In fact it doesn't sound as though you're enjoying anything as a couple, which is the real problem here.

FiveStarMadness · 18/09/2025 22:35

@Emptyandsad it stops them getting hard, although they can still get a little hard but are constrained. Can be used by themselves but they prefer their partner to hold the key, think dom/sub. If they are good they get "released" and can orgasm normally.

Incaseofouting · 18/09/2025 22:35

TheGander · 18/09/2025 22:22

So the penis goes in the cage and the balls hang outside 🤔?

the one my friend has you squeeze your balls one at a time through the ring (about cock ring size) then the cage closes over cock quite snugly and there is a metal piece that screws in to hold it all together.

wizzywig · 18/09/2025 22:35

Hes making lemonade from lemons. Id superglue the lock out of spite if hes passive aggressive

Is it definitely a chastity cage? Do you have any pets? Could it be to transport a small rodent?

Bit of a shock for you but it sounds like you may soon be going your separate ways so I'd decide beforehand how much of an issue this is for you.

No self-respecting rodent would want to get into that

BeShyPlumLeader · 18/09/2025 22:33

Emptyandsad · 18/09/2025 22:29

I'm so curious! What does one do with it once one is...inserted? Is it the kind of thing that you use by yourself or do you need someone else involved?

People's sexual predilections are endlessly fascinating

From what I read - its a control thing. Someone else has the key to it and it's to stop them getting an erection.

Ffs I can't believe I'm even writing this

I can't even work out if this is a serious comment but 😂

That made me spit my tea out 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh I'm sorry this happened to you 😞

I'm not upset really (which goes to show how bad our marriage is really doesn't it) but I'm just baffled really. Why would he want / need one of them!?

If I'm honest part of the reason I haven't said anything is because of exactly this. I suspect he would get nasty (in his usual passive aggressive way) and attempt to drag my name through the mud. But I have this in my locker now don't I....

Ergh why are they all passive aggressive? They get nasty if you raise their so-called "kinks" during conversation/arguments so keep it quiet for now. If he finds out you know he'll tell you you prevented him from being who he is and is glad the divorce is happening.

Look up grey rocking, also make sure you get any financial paperwork for the divorce and speak to a solicitor. The aim is try to get this over and done with as quickly and painlessly as possible.

And I'm really sorry it's come to this - stay strong :-)

Fucking hell I've just nearly aspirated a corner of a Dorito 🤣🤣🤣 comment of the year

Was the bondage equipment something that was a part of your marriage, or is that also a shock? Because it seems to me like the bondage equipment and the chastity cage seem like they go together, and I'm surprised that you've just thrown the bondage part in as a bit of an afterthought.
