Backlash against Trans women

(Story on ITV news about drag performer who died after taking drug ketamine, not suicide, just a regular user it seems who took more than usual.) Thus post isn't about him.

Anyway, bloke during story moaned that 'we are currently seeing a backlash against trans at the moment, particularly trans women' (men), and 'that's not a world I want to live in'.

I mean seriously, the TRA has been abusive to women for years for even mentioning any concerns, yet now trans women are victims (again). Perpetual victims it seems. These men are frankly ridiculous. I get fed up of the men in dresses and their victimhood.

She believes it was. There is nothing to say that except the word of woman who butchered someone to death. A murderer

She wasn’t found guilty of murder. She was the victim of domestic abuse, and the man she killed with one stabbing had stabbed her first. She claimed self defence and that was accepted by the courts.
Don’t let the truth get in the way of your hyperbole though.

LoftyRobin · 21/09/2025 17:47

But if course men shouldn't be in womens jails. This just had nothing to do with why the butcher grandma was kept locked up

I don’t understand - are you saying that female prisoners should have to put up with male prisoners being incarcerated with them?

No im saying that the murderer was kept in prison because shes a violent murderer and no other reason that she believes or claims.

LoftyRobin · 21/09/2025 17:45

First it was making out the sex offender woman was man, and now it is arguing that a crazed killer should have been let out sooner. What the very fuck mumsnet.

LoftyRobin · 21/09/2025 17:40

She believes it was. More likely her history of violence and dependency. But let's pretend the woman who butchered a man to death was only kept in prison because she wouldn't call a man a woman

LoftyRobin · 21/09/2025 17:44

If you are so desperate to try and prove something that you are championing a murderer, there is something seriously wrong with you. Don't sink that low.

What part of “she was denied being able to apply for parole” did you not understand?

This is different to ‘she was denied parole’. She was denied being able to apply.

But do keep showing how you believe that only good and pure female people should have access to the justice system and due process. Considering you also stated on another thread that you believe female people should have single sex spaces, would you like to comment on the fact that this male prisoner was in the female prison?

Or are female prisoners to be denied safety from male prisoners as well?

She was likely kept in prison because shes a violent murderer who couldn't obey prison rules. What other female murderers do you excuse and want back on our streets?

No. She was refused parole because she refused to call a man a woman.

And yet she was blocked from receiving the process of the justice system for not using the preferred language of a male prisoner who is in the female prison with her.

If you cannot see the injustice of that situation, I suspect your prejudice is very entrenched.

So, let me get this right… only good and pure women deserve to be treated with respect and to have not only single sex provisions but to receive the justice process that everyone is entitled to? Good to know.

Non of those examples were a case of any woman being forced to undress in front of men of being forced to call their rapists she.

Not sure where any entitlement would come in. I'm not a believer that men should be in women's sport. However there's no need to make up scenarios that just aren't or have never been considered Issues worthy of considsring to the degree that they are.

in this thread. THIS BLOODY THREAD there is a report of girls at a school in the US being literally forced to do it.

But you are wilfully not seeing any of this. And so we have no need to listen to any of your weasel words.

Coffeeishot · 21/09/2025 17:24

Was the drag performer trans ? I don't think i understand your post.

Helleofabore · 21/09/2025 17:22

Alicealig · 21/09/2025 15:18

I don't believe women are disadvantaged in the slightest, I largely see the trans issue as a 'non-issue'. I don't agree that trans identified people should be getting any of this recent attention, people are the sex they are born. Wear what you want and call yourself what you want. That's the beauty of freedom we all enjoy.

Should we start posting the examples from sport where women are being disadvantaged and harmed by the inclusion of male people in female sports events?

I mean, we can keep posting examples of where women and girls are being not just disadvantaged but actively harmed by the demand to treat male people as if they are female. I doubt we will convince you, but it will certainly highlight how women and girls are being disadvantaged.

SirBasil · 21/09/2025 17:21

Alicealig · 21/09/2025 15:46

Can you give any examples of that actually happening except for saying that it is and hypothetical. No one is ever forced to change in front of anyone.

The sooner people stop whining and complaining on behalf of others the better. This was NEVER an issue 15 years ago, nor does it need to be one now. No laws have been changed so what's all the needless upset and hysteria about?

in the words of the TRAs: educate yourself.

And if you wouldn't mind not using stupid sexist language like "hysteria" to describe a reaction to men in women's spaces, that would be just grand.

LoftyRobin · 21/09/2025 17:12

You mean this murderer who killed a man with a pair of scissors? Oh its so terrible they didnt let her free sooner!

And yet she was blocked from receiving the process of the justice system for not using the preferred language of a male prisoner who is in the female prison with her.

Also I don’t believe that trans people make up as much as 0.5% of the population. That would mean there’d be about 300 in the smallish town where I live. Nah, I’m not buying it.

i would love to see realistic, robust reliable stats on how many trans people there are. Not least because it helps councils/governments etc allocate funding for whatever it is they think they don't have.

But the TRAs have shot themselves in the foot there - i am experiencing schadenfreude by the bucketload here - because they insist on only gathering non-realistic, non-robust and non-reliable data. Their insistance on only documenting "gender ID" rather than sex (binary) and then if they want, the indication that they have a trans ID which is opposite to their natal sex, means that they can't make ANY claims about numbers. And if they do? all we need to say is: show us the data.

Their dogged insistance that nobody can tell because they all pass, coupled with their dogged insistance that Sex Realistic (sometimes known as GC) people are trying to eradicate them is a tautology.

I'm over it now. I call a man a man, and the term trans-identified-man or man-who-says-he's a woman (or TIW etc).

Here is another female prisoner who lost four years parole opportunity due to her not using the preferred language of a male prisoner who was in the female prison.

“I was sexually assaulted in a women's prison... by a fellow inmate with male genitalia'

'When J went for a shower, the prison put a sign on the door saying that no one else should enter, because they knew it could upset the women if they saw her naked, but J objected to this and said it was an infringement of her human rights,' says Amy.

'She said, 'I am a woman and I want to shower with other women.' Just before she assaulted me, she was seen with the shower curtain open, her genitals in full view of the other women.'

The Lia Thomas case was indeed about women being forced to undress in front of a man. The women who complained were threatened with expulsion from their swim teams, some of them on scholarship requiring them to be on those swim teams. That is coercion. That is force. There was no usable alternative offered for them.

What do you think the cases of Peggie and the Darlington nurses are about - they are entirely about women having to get undressed in front of trans identified males. Please tell us what YOU think they are about.

lia Thomas - as well as cheating on the women’s team shared showers and changing rooms with the young women and walked around with an erection. Women who complained were disciplined.

I REALLY don't want to talk to anyone deluded enough to believe it's possible to change sex.

Nor me. They are biological men with a penis, whatever they choose to identify as. 🤷‍♀️
