Well there is a need, when so many people don't have kids at all.

No, there isn't. The world is overpopulated.

Catwalking · 27/09/2025 07:50

I never wash our lettuce - i recon if the outside leaves are removed (& chucked to compost) how/why would the inside leaves need rinsing?

Nobody has been poisoned by it in 49yrs married, but i’ve never dared to say it!

I have very little empathy and have to pretend to feel emotion just to appear normal.

Do you have children @BrisPerm ?

Where I'm from, these women seem to pop out a new kid with every new partner, without so much as a thought to the impact on their existing children. Also, women who have kids with large age gaps eg: Only child is 14 or 15, then mum suddenly decides to have another. Teen's life is then completely disrupted......

Yes something like that but (and this is going to make me sound even worse) the kid too far has some sort of medical need or behavioural problem that the existing kids didn’t have so it’s all extra time-consuming and hard work

Catpiece · 24/09/2025 10:29

This is a bad one. I’ve known women who have had one kid “too far”. What I mean is that they had their first one or two children, got involved with another man and had one more kid and that kid has turned out to be the one who has disrupted what was a nice quiet life for various reasons. Seen it a few times. The kid “too far” has caused lots of problems one way or another

When I see big families (more than 2 children) I tend to think it’s because the woman kept trying for a girl. And that if women had girls in first and second pregnancies there would be less multi-children families.

My brother and his wife had a girl first, then a boy and then a surprise girl. So it is not always trying for a girl.

I agree, a woman nearby is about to pop out number 4 in trying for a girl.
Wonder what she'll do if its another boy!!

Well there is a need, when so many people don't have kids at all.

Why? Please explain. There is already too many people.

90sbab8 · 23/09/2025 17:50

Another, more sinister confession: I completely and utrerly despise large families. There is absolutely no need to have that many kids, especially nowadays.

As a child,I had nothing nice (my narc mother refused to spend money on us)

All my clothes/shoes/coats where 4th/5th/6th hand and none of it was nice and if my mother decided something (like our toys or other possessions) had to go,off they went

Now I'm older,I spend silly amounts of money on clothes (I'm eco conscious so buy from charity shops, vinted and ebay)

I will wear something nice, get bored with it and send it off to the charity shop

My dp thinks it's a silly quirk but it's because I'm trying to dress smaller me in pretty clothes and shoes

I lost all my childhood toys (she binned them) and it's cost me thousands to replace them (just to say I own them)

Oh I'm so sad for you💐xx

90sbab8 · 23/09/2025 18:28

*utterly 🤦‍♀️
Anyway, they take up SO much space, get in everyone's way and their kids are nearly always feral, noisy little bastards. Also, WHOLE families going shopping together.

My last one- my worst nightmare in working in an office full of women- the constant chatter, the flirting and banter with any male who comes into view, the singing to the radio, the cliques....

NewAgeNewMe · 23/09/2025 13:48

Probably not as much as I do, having to have had to use a walking stick, since I was 38!

HectorPlasm · 23/09/2025 13:44

I despise the sound of someone using a walking stick - especially those jointed one that make a double tap noise.

Meandmyguy · 23/09/2025 11:32

@Plastictreees ah, multiple men should have been multiple fathers.

I certainly don't judge women or men that have slept with a lot of people. I think everyone should have lots of great sex when they are younger.

Plastictreees · 23/09/2025 11:29

Meandmyguy · 23/09/2025 11:28

@Plastictreees not at all.

Maybe for some but not for me.

I made my money and got on with life.

I’m glad, but why judge those who do the same? Just curious. Assuming you are female?

Meandmyguy · 23/09/2025 11:28

@YumYa nope.

I detest my best friends adopted daughter, she is very spoilt. They have two other children naturally & are not like her.

toonananana · 23/09/2025 00:08

@IHateSand- I have no option but to keep going. I have two DC and won’t do this to them. I’m just quickly running out of options to keep us afloat. Death seems like a very tempting option atm.

IHateSand · 22/09/2025 23:46

@toonanananaDoes anyone IRL know you’re feeling like this? Are there any local support services you could use?
