Now the Australians are protesting

Their main target is Indians.
Indians. Who have come legally - not on boats - but on aeroplanes, with the correct visas, who are students seeking further education in order to train as doctors, nurses, or whatever so that they can give back to Australia - Or they are already trained in a profession that the government has outlined has a shortage.

Australia is absolutely solid to get into with specific qualifications or experience being a mandatory requirement and the financial means to support one self. The whole western world constantly puts Australia on a pedestal for not being a soft touch for immigration. How are these protesters questioning the value of this diaspora's contribution to the Australian economy, and how can anybody deny that it's pure racism?

Australia doesn't have a problem luring white British nurses and doctors to their shores with generous repatriation packages, but an Indian nurse or doctor aren't good enough. Australians don't have a problem with their white teenagers or graduates emigrating to western countries for 10 years before fucking off back to Australia when it's time to settle down, but god forbid anybody does it the other way

You’re wasting your breath with the MN Islamophobes.

Yes true. I know they will never change. They have not changed a thing every time someone has called them out but i would like to think that other posters will not get swayed by their misinformation and actually believe in what they say.

To all the posters worried about Muslim no go areas, I am a British Muslim and saw the world change after 9/11 towards Muslim people.
I grew up in a very diverse area and have many, many friends from different races including white British people.
I am thankful that i already had white friends who knew i did not represent the terrorists yet i still saw the difference in attitude from many other people that i came across after.
It made me wary as i saw people treat me (and other muslims) differently and in a more hostile way so i can see why people stick to people they know best or find safest.
Every race and religion have their fair share of racists etc, but i like to think that the majority of people can see past this and hopefully live and work and go past each other in a civilised and friendly way so i do not think most areas are actually no go areas.

You clearly haven’t got rid of trying to pass the buck. Time to move on.

It’s pathetic isn’t it. Also so childish. “Anything bad in Australia is nothing to do with us - it’s the fault of a power that has not ruled us in years but anything good is just us but nothing to do with the power that ruled years ago.”

Pathetic! I think they are triggered because Australia likes to pretend it is not like Europeans or Yanks when it comes to racism.

Are you having a laugh???!!! Australia is the most racist country in the world!! Not just racism but discrimination of any disability or difference that makes you stand out in public!

31.5% of Australia's population was born overseas as of June 2024 - so if you are correct that Australia is the most racist country in the world - they either become racist when they moved to Australia (something in the sunlight maybe? Or they were racist in their country of origin too. Or are you only counting white Australians as Australians which makes you pretty damn racists.

IwasatClaines · 09/09/2025 09:28

Dangermoos · 09/09/2025 09:07

The British are now saying they've had enough of being called racists, when they share their concerns about mass immigration.

You won’t like Australia then. We have 30% overseas born here, compared to the UK’s 17%! 50% of the population here has at least one parent born overseas too.

To be fair if the British are fed up with immigration they need to have large families to correct the demographics of an aging population and a smaller young tax base of skilled workers to pay for the essential services. However we are a free society and many women today do not personally want big families. That’s why even the Conservatives couldn’t turn off the immigration tap. Immigrants are on average younger and more skilled than the resident population.

I predict if Reform gets into government, they will dramatically reduce permanent immigration but go with temporary visas, which will allow businesses to bring in large numbers of overseas workers. That’s what the previous “stop the boats!” Government did in Australia. It was their slogan actually and the British have borrowed it. Temporary workers had the effect of reducing wages, because they were put on contracts paying less.

This post makes me laugh!!
Seriously, look at all your posts on this thread only, never mind all the other threads i have encountered you on.
You have had enough of being called racist?

EasternStandard · 09/09/2025 09:24

BeanQuisine · 09/09/2025 09:11

True, as we've been saying for a long time. It's our more independent attitude that has enabled us to cast aside a lot of the more regrettable aspects of British culture, such as the racism that used to be as common here as it still is in the old country.

Yes good to have an independent attitude. Keep going with it. Whether Australia has good or bad parts is entirely down to Australians, not the British. Time to really move on.

GAJLY · 09/09/2025 09:23

JHound · 09/09/2025 09:02

There is no area in the UK that is for muslims only. Not one.

Before you reply to me I urge you to walk and use public transport through sparkhill, birmingham. It is true. Even though I'm perceived as white, my grandparents came from another country. So I'm not anti anyone.

Now the Australians are protesting
Dangermoos · 09/09/2025 09:20

JHound · 09/09/2025 09:16

LOL!!

I am literally a born and bred Brummie. And have only lived in inner city areas.

I lived for years in Perry Barr which has a huge muslim population and apart from our neighbour leaving out food for birds we had no issues.

There are no Muslim only areas in the UK.

Your repeated racism and Islamophobia and commenting on cities you are clearly ignorant of bores me.

We’re done here.

Edited

Ah, so Sparkhill and Bordesley Green are budding examples of white people being welcomed with open arms. I taught in a college in Bordesley Green - sexism was rife but a different thread. Aside from also being born in Brum, my teaching experience qualifies me to discuss, while avoiding the lazy accusation of Islamophobia.

JHound · 09/09/2025 09:16

Then you don't know the changing culture of Birmingham, for instance.

Absentosaur · 09/09/2025 09:12

Also, things like trans rights (I won't linger on that as I have my own views) are more 'progressive' than the UK

The Australian view on women is anything but progressive (no surprise whatsoever).

Australia has ruled, as you said that anyone who says they are a woman, is a woman.

So ‘women’ as a sex cease to exist because men can be women, apparently. The opposite ruling to the Supreme Court in the UK who confirmed (😶) that yes biological sex is real and biological sex matters. Thank god.

I support 💯 % all women in Australia campaigning to overturn the original ruling.

EasternStandard · 09/09/2025 09:08

No just take responsibility for your country instead. No ‘remnants’. It’s Australians who are accountable.

So racism in modern Australian, conducted by people of diverse origins (there were people on the march who were recent migrants and others who claimed to be Australian of Greek, Lebanese, Italian etc descent) their racism is all due to “The British”.

😂

EasternStandard · 09/09/2025 09:08

BeanQuisine · 09/09/2025 09:05

Many Australians now are the descendants of those “Brits”.

That's right, and the remnants of racism that linger in Australia are part of our British heritage. But we're doing a good job of overcoming such negative attitudes, while the British themselves still appear to be struggling.

PrincessFairyWren · 09/09/2025 09:05

That’s how the Australian education system works. Anything bad was “The Brits”. My friend’s young son is learning about The Stolen Generation and on learning I was British wanted to interrogate me about why the “British stole aboriginal children.”

It’s a very weird way in which modern Australia tries to whitewash his history.

That is not my experience. The stolen generation persisted well into the twentieth century long after Federation. No one that I have ever encountered is blaming the British for that.

However it cannot be denied that colonization of Australia occurred under British rule.

But also many many other immigrants in Australia are also racist. British and Australians don’t have the monopoly on that.

BeanQuisine · 09/09/2025 09:05

JHound · 09/09/2025 08:51

You can’t keep blaming it on the British. The people protesting NOW are Australians and oppression of indigenuous Australians continued long after independence.

Saying “it was not us it was the Brits” is disingenuous. Many Australians now are the descendants of those “Brits”.

Finally the truth emerges that makes all this make sense. It didn't appear out of no where! I live near an area in the UK that's Muslims only. Only Muslims can live there, attend their school and college and travel through. Once I tried and it was not a good experience. One man told me to "go home".
