My daughter started a new school.
She has come home with 3 seperate sets of paper.

Each with 2 pages printed front and back.

2 of the are the exact same.

Why the fuck do I have to wrote out her address 3 seperate times?! Why do i have to wrotes my email 4 times?! Her name so many times..
And on and on.

Im not doing the duplicate one. They can look at the other one.

But seriously its 2025! There should be a better system.

Also the comment about needing to.pay to get a side of someone that is moderate and normal.
Not representative of any adult I've ever met who works successfully with vulnerable young people for extended periods of time.
Scary.

If you're a teacher working with sen students, with this temperament, I'd be worried
Your posts are aggressive.
Also, as a teacher there are so many things to do that could do with streamlining, it's so commonplace I struggle to see why this would enrage you so much.

Yea, so crazy thing I can adjust myself accordingly to my situation.
A few people I k ow can manage it. It's called 'being professional at work'
I do the job, they pay me the money. It's a great agreement.

If you want that side of me you have to pay.
This is Mumsnet, not a school

I was at home, late and wanted a rant.
Didn't think so many vile unpleasant bully's would attend.

There was a thread about this recently with many people complaining about the online forms and tech based admin parents are exposed to these days. Some people really struggle. While you might find an online form faster and more efficient, someone else would be much faster filling out a paper form and find it a lot less stressful. They probably get lots of phone calls and emails about the online systems, I suspect there is no saving in admin. Plus at least now they actually have a signature not some bullshit online scribble that differs every time you do it.

Pieceofpurplesky · 06/09/2025 18:18

If you are an SEND teacher you would know why forms are sent out on paper.

I counted a few

I mean I can only hope, alas they have yet to leave.

Did you mean to miss the fullstop or do you have more to say?

I suspect many people will avoid commenting on this due to the obvious own-goal.

It gets a whole lot worse at secondary. You’re going to need to make peace with this: its not getting any easier.

I disagree. I have one in Secondary and can't get over how easy it's been.
There was not 1 sheet.

Everything has been digital. Absolute bliss.

Exactly this . lol

Your grammar is incorrect.

If you're a teacher I feel your spelling would be better

You’re missing a comma and a full stop in your sentence.

When you point a finger at someone, three fingers point back at you.

I have no need to justify myself to men. I'm long past that need.

Ah you've resorted to inexplicably calling posters men

Like a rational person who is definitely a teacher would do

Don't know what to tell you babe.
A lot of teachers I know have issues spelling.
We check our work but newsflash this is Mumsnet and I could not care less about what your sensitive eyes have to process

When my GC started in primary, we had to fill out a,
General information form, health, PR etc,
Permission for photographs,
Permission for off site activities, forest school etc. As any legal documents, they all had to include full names, DOB etc.

Thats literally all it is.
Old phone on its way out with lag. So even after ive finished typing the words are still appearing on the screen.

No chance of getting a new phone anytime soon so no drama on my end.

Wasn't aware it would ruin the day of so many sad empty people.

I hear you. My iPad was the same when it came close to end of life. Head-bangingly annoying.

I've had a very productive day.
The forms are as completed as they're going to be.
And I don't drink.

You’re fine, OP.

You’ve been picked on for a pile on, for some reason.

Dinosaurshoebox · 06/09/2025 17:59

nomas · 06/09/2025 17:57

It doesn’t correct every word either, so if you type in a hurry and get a word wrong, it can leave your typo exposed.

I'm android all the way.

Autocorrect is a bit of an arse, and often wrong... but in my experience it doesn't make up words...
