Be absolutely honest, would you consider only fans/sex work if it guaranteed you’d be rich?

If you were being 100% honest hypothetically. Would you consider sex work/only fans/webcam work if you could guarantee you’d become rich.

Obviously completely hypothetical because in reality most of us probably wouldn’t be able to make much money, we’ve probably got children to consider, you might already be well off.

But if it was the difference between working in a job you hate until retirement, or doing sex work for 10 years and then being able to retire a millionaire, if it was safe and you only had yourself to please. Could you forget your morals and do it? Do you think you could live with it?

Yabu - no
Yanbu - you’d consider it.

If you would consider it, do you think you’re a highly sexualised person anyway, maybe multiple sexual partners, able to separate sex from emotions.

I’d do it in a heartbeat if I could guarantee a stable, decent income out of it.

As it stands, it’s an oversaturated market and for the hundred odd quid a month the average OF creator makes, I wouldn’t be able to look my dad in the eye. 20 grand a month and I could, especially knowing I’d be able to look after my family and make their lives a little easier.

Rickyrainfrogcroaks · 04/09/2025 16:14

If I had a perfect body
Yes why not

flopsyuk · 04/09/2025 16:04

No, I used to get stopped by men in London and ask to pose for photos. Offered good money.
Was also pestered for sex when waiting for a taxi or a bus.
The men were so sleazy. There was no way I could trust them even if I did want sex work.

SardinesOnGingerbread · 04/09/2025 16:03

No. Not unless it was the only way of feeding my children (assuming no access to welfare state).

DiscoBob · 04/09/2025 16:02

No. Not in a million years!

I did some glamour modelling when I was younger in the days when it was still print magazines. I don't regret it but I'm bloody grateful it was the days before the internet took off. I wouldn't want it coming back to haunt me.

I also did escort work in my early 20s alongside a professional career. It didn't make me rich but with hindsight, it really damaged my relationship with sex. I can separate sex from emotion but that hasn't been advantageous in my life overall.

That’s interesting. I have never done anything like that.

However I did start having sex quite young and not in nice circumstances. I felt quite sexualised very young and I couldn’t wait to have sex for the first time.

I wonder whether it’s experiences that make you detached from sex or whether you’re just like that.

Im not saying that I’m detached from sex but I certainly could be if I needed to.

I couldn’t, and wouldn’t. My body is mine and I only want to share it with one person of my choosing .
Men who “use” sex workers, to me are revolting. Women who are sex workers, I understand they have a choice, but I think that the reality for many is that their choices are limited.

Unicorn34 · 04/09/2025 15:57

A friend of mine tried Only Fans a few years ago, basically pics of her from behind so you couldn't see her face. She did get a few hundred for the weekend but gave up after 2 days as the messages and requests were relentless! Said it really wasn't worth the hassle unless you are willing "to be available" for more time than a full time job.

unsevered67 · 04/09/2025 15:53

No. I don’t want to encourage men to continue to see women as sexual objects. And the thought of the kind of men I might be exposing myself to would turn my stomach.

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 04/09/2025 15:51

I have no moralistic objections to truly voluntary sex work, but I also happen to be very basic in my wants and don't want to be a sex worker.

I can make money in more interesting ways - I've found a good but slightly boring niche and I'm happy enough with that

DaisyChain505 · 04/09/2025 15:46

No. Never.

I’d rather have less money, less lavish things and keep my dignity and soul.

Getting my bits out on camera and shoving things inside me for the pleasure of anonymous dirty men will never pay enough for me to consider it.

OnlyYellowRoses · 04/09/2025 15:46

Yep 👍 would have no issues as long as it was solo or with my husband or videos only. But then I made quite a lot of money working as an escort in my late teens / early twenties and have no issues separating sex / feelings.

Love13 · 04/09/2025 15:46

It’s interesting that there are people who say a flat no. Not for all the money in the world. Then others say they’d consider certain things.

I’m definitely in a camp of ‘I’d do certain things’. Like I said it’s totally hypothetical.

If Only Fans had been around when I was young I think I’d definitely have considered it. I think I could quite easily forget my morals for large sums of money.

It’s a bit of an unsavoury topic, but it fascinates me what separates those that would/definitely wouldn’t,

If I would make a decent amount of money and it wouldn’t affect my future job opportunities I’d definitely do it.

JamieCannister · 04/09/2025 15:43

If I could make £2m whilst dealing with the knowledge that men are w**king themselves silly to pictures of my feet then I'd be on OF.

If rich is £100k for having sex with people I don't want to and having close up of my bits on the net forever, not so much.

OldBeyondMyYears · 04/09/2025 15:41

No! Absolutely bloody not! 🥴

Gerardormikey · 04/09/2025 15:41

Absofuckinglutley.

But I look like a melted candle. No one is paying for that.

Moveoverdarlin · 04/09/2025 15:40

I would do it if I could guarantee I could remain anonymous and no one who knew me knew I was doing it.

OriginalUsername2 · 04/09/2025 15:38

No.

I was selling bags of clothes on Gumtree and got a message from an underwear perve asking to buy used tights. I was so so skint but I still didn’t do it. Basically because I didn’t want that in my personal history, even if no-one knew!

CosmicMountain · 04/09/2025 15:38

I dont think it's my thing really but I'm not even sure what is involved. Do I have to record myself having sex with someone?

Or is it more 'solo' work for others to pay to view?

I'm not sure I could be bothered with the waxing...

Scleverley84 · 04/09/2025 15:37

hundred billion percent I would!!

JimmyGiraffe · 04/09/2025 15:32

Or the cookery version of "Only Flans"??

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 04/09/2025 15:30

I wouldn’t do it for ten years. But if one of my exes said he had a sex tape of me and could he ‘leak’ it if he paid me £5 mil id say yes.

BauhausOfEliott · 04/09/2025 15:27

Depends on the kind of content. If I could get rich from sexual content on OnlyFans appearing solo only and without showing my face, then I'd probably do it. But people rarely, if ever, make money like that. Even most people who do actually show their faces and perform with partners don't make much.

I know a man who makes a reasonable amount from OnlyFans, appearing solo only, but it's not his only income. He certainly couldn't live on his OnlyFans income alone.
