To believe anyone who claims to like rum and raisin ice cream is a liar

I despise choc chip ice-cream and mint choc chip. Any chocolate in ice-cream just tastes like plastic?
Rum raisen is kind of meh. I don't hate it.

Love it and rum & raisin fudge too.

No idea why you think people say it to be interesting. Any time I choose it, it's typically met with comments like "weirdo" or "don't know how you like that".

It's my favourite! Closely followed by coffee.

Other way round for me. 1st coffee, then rum n raisin.

It isn't interesting though @Fragmentedbrain . It's old lady ice cream!

Love it (well before I went dairy free!) they did a really nice one in Baskins Robbins a few years ago

Coffee is the best. Tiramisu flavour just doesn't hit the spot in the same way. R & R, OTOH, is an abomination.

It’s definitely one of my favourites. I often choose it on our daily gelateria trips while on holiday.

The last time I saw Rum and Raisin ice cream was in the 70s! My father would have it very occasionally. I don’t recall my mother or any of us children liking it!

Same here. If it’s not an option when we’re all out getting ice creams he’s bereft (I hate it - salted caramel girl through and through)

It's genuinely the best ice cream flavour in the world. I didn't even know it has any kind of reputation. Lidl do a lovely one.

I love it! I loved it when I was a child too. My (young adult) DCs wouldn't like it because they don't like anything with an alcohol taste. I was always happy as child in the 70s to eat brandy butter or other desserts with alcohol poured on them .

Mmm me too, I love brandy butter. And cherry liquers. I don't drink alcohol, only eat it 😋

I was very excited to see it feature in our hotel ice cream selection this summer, love it. I ordered a rum and raisin pancake once but it was just a raisin pancake that came with a shot of rum, most disappointing.

People who pretend to like olives however…
