Is one spoilt entitled brat who has broken his parents hearts, not that I am a great fan of the Beckhams, at least they have worked all their lives and would not betray their parents!

Prince William, St Andrews. Usual requirement 3 X A* (bare minimum 2 X A, 1 X B) on A, B, C.

That maybe the case but king Charles and prince Edward both into Oxbridge with a couple of not exactly outstanding Alevels.

Yeah I find it bizarre these celeb children are privately educated but not very clever. What do they teach in these schools? My sibling was privately educated but they had pupils from all backgrounds including some celeb children and very poor. They were all very clever. I think some private schools exist because rich people don't want them mixing with the poor but they don't actually care about their education because they've so much money anyway.

what do the other beckham children do?

He probably would have done better in a state school. At least he would have left there with empathy and understanding for all types of people. He now wants to pursue a career in photography he's going back to education to learn. The problem he has got is that no one in the industry will take him serious or see him as someone to rely on. He isn't trustworthy or loyal to anyone but himself. What makes him think he will make it?

Wants to be a new Harry?

Gosh Harry really does live rent free in the heads of some people.

What has Harry Styles got to do with all of this?

Prince William is old, A star did not exist in his era. No idea if he met entry requirements or not but in olden days before A* and grade inflation As and Bs were entry requirements for lots of top universities and Oxbridge did the EE offers after interview.

Wreckinball · 28/08/2025 10:27

I feel sorry for rich kids who grow up in their parents spotlight.
We know nothing about any of them really apart from the PR in public, the papers and their socials. Some will be true and some will be made up and we don’t know who is behind either story.
Id like to think they use their wealth to those in need

Cakeandusername · 28/08/2025 10:25

I think people assume with private school the children should be clever but lots of these children will have had very disruptive schooling with multiple moves in England and abroad and lots of time off for holidays. Schools can only do so much and lots comes from parental input. Plus basic intelligence to start with and how education is valued.
He has been in spotlight and part of family brand since before he was born.
He’s an adult and choosing not go be a part of that anymore.

I do find it worrying that most kids - educated privately or in the state system - work their asses off to get to uni or apprenticeship etc. and Beckhams and Andres just get allowed to stay at their private schools and not do esp well or go to on to uni. I suppose royal family in the 80s with crappy A Level results getting into Cambridge is similarly worrying

on the subject of kids of famous people having normal jobs- Gordon Ramseys son is a royal marine. He was treated very much the same as every other marine on training

I don't think Gordan Ramsey has ever tried to push his kids into the limelight though. They've been able to grow up relatively unknown, have a stable childhood and schooling. They've carved out their own careers, probably saw how hard their father worked and their mother has been a stable role model in their lives. He's a brilliant chef and a brilliant mentor, people who have worked for him or have been mentored by him sing his praises.

It's why I can never understand what the Ramsey's and Beckham's have in common to be such good friends. The Beckham's seem empty, vaucous and all about being famous regardless of consequences.

ill give it another year before his wife dumps him for someone not as useless. She never looks happy with him. He’s serving a purpose, that’s all.

What a nasty comment

I bet your life isn’t perfect

Maybe stop reading the Daily Mail?

Just a thought

Is that the only paper you read? Brooklyn is in most of the newspapers not only in the Daily Mail.

I think it must be a bit hard for him - his dad’s super successful, his brothers have at least managed to carve out careers in modelling and football (if not as successful as their dad’s), and he, despite every opportunity, hasn’t made even a moderate success of anything - in fact has been roundly ridiculed.

His only real achievement is managing to marry a very rich and very attractive woman.

And good for him!

CoffeeLipstickKeys · 28/08/2025 10:17

It’s a non story. Gossipy media reporting and dullards who ingest any story and regurgitate it as if fact
Fwiw you have no idea how Victoria and David relate to their son, or their own parents or if there has been any betrayal
Your ire is misplaced

1457bloom · 28/08/2025 10:16

Just because you have had a privileged background and have successful parents doesn’t mean you will be talented, it’s unfair to criticise Brooklyn.

smallpinecone · 27/08/2025 21:40

He does seem very gormless, but I feel very sorry for him… he seems to have few skills or ambitions and no real ability to make a living or carve his own niche in the world.

This is very common when their parent's are so successful. It is hard to step out from under their shadow. I have watched lots of documentaries about famous household names and their DC have many mental health problems and really struggle and that's without being thrust into the limelight.

Then you don't understand special needs
Being not especially intelligent doesn't equate to having special needs
Hrs a man whose Been brought up in the limelight to beleive he's a he Has the world at his feet
Unfortunately he's pretty average and has no discernible talent but thst doesn't mean he has special needs far from it.

Kago2790 · 28/08/2025 10:02

Not being very talented puts him in with 99% of the population. His dad was a very talented footballer, seldom do footballers kids become top level players. His mum was blessed with good looks I suppose but got lucky really with the spice girls.

I cannot blame the kid for being average ability.

JoeTheDrummer · 28/08/2025 09:51

bumbaloo · 28/08/2025 07:09

They really didn’t. Brand Beckham was built if D&V and whatever you think of them, they are grafters. David obsessively practiced since childhood and Victoria pushed and pushed for her career

I agree that D&V worked hard, but I also agree that they’ve constantly used the kids to market themselves. Other celebrities have managed to bring up their children with privacy, and to give them as much a normal life as possible, whereas D&V have pushed theirs into the limelight since they were babies. Poor Harper is often pictured on their Instagram page in her school uniform, wearing a swimming costume, marketing her mum’s make-up etc, but she’s too young to consent to this, or to appreciate the possible consequence of such a huge invasion of her privacy.

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 28/08/2025 09:48

I can only imagine what it must be like to be a child of very famous parents but to not have any particular talents of your own. The focus of the media is upon you constantly, you can sell your wedding for millions to the press and... then what? What do you do all day? You don't NEED to work, you have money to do whatever you want but...what do you DO? Especially when the press is there to take photos of you doing nothing in particular.

I think utter boredom must kick in. He's probably in therapy and, like a lot of his generation, he's beginning to either see his childhood clearly or reimagine it in a form that the therapist can deal with.

When I'm bored and need a good laugh, I love to look at his photo book with the elephant photo. Gets me in hysterics every time. But also loved when he did that one day kitchen and got really wild, bad reviews. Nepo babies at their finest!

LoudSnoringDog · 28/08/2025 02:17

I watched a video of him making tomato pasta on Instagram yesterday. Was like watching a year 7 kid do their first home economics class. He was SLAUGHTERED in the comments and justifiably so. He has zero talent and is living off Brand Beckham. That’s not his fault of course but he needs a wake up call.

Remember his beans on toast “recipe”? I often wonder if the kid is trolling the world. Nobody can be that stupid and clueless.

Why would they be clever? Neither David nor Victoria are. David is talented at football and Victoria is good at business, but neither of them are what you'd call bright.

His issue is that he keeps trying to make something of himself, which is admirable. His siblings seem happy to toe (tow?) the Beckham line.

Friends of mine who have very wealthy parents never seem able to break free of them because of the impossibility of replicating the parents success. The parents wield enormous power as the children live in fear of being “cut off”.

BB has found the perfect solution: break free by marrying into an even wealthier family.
