To ask for your tiny tragedies

Was looking forward to having some strawberries with some nice thick greek yoghurt I had in the fridge and it turns out I just bought boring natural yoghurt by mistake 😭

My husband was meant to be away from Monday evening till Wednesday morning for work reasons so I was going to have a nice husband free day and catch up on everything. The job got cancelled and I didn't get my husband free day

Oh really? I still have the mini. And tiles. Spelling bee kicks me off after a word or two, has done for a while, is that the same for you?

ETA: actually just checked and Tiles is gone for me. I never play it, so don’t think they are targeting what they remove.

I still have access to the mini crossword but I can't get Tiles any more. Are they actually targeting our routines?

It's even worse because I do actually have an NYT subscription but it appears to be under a different email and if I use that one I'll lose my Wordle streak. No way am I giving that up. Bastards.

My Brother did this on his Honeymoon to Singapore. The humidity was so high he was washing out his 3 pairs everyday. The only stores nearby were designers like Armani - the extra pants cost £45 each

We live very rurally so it's a long drive to get to the shops, and I needed to go to 3 places. So I've been out of the house since 7:45 this morning. As a treat, I bought myself a coffee and croissant to have when I've finished unpacking. Got all the bags in, went back to get my treat and my coffee slipped out of my hand and landed half in the car, half on the driveway and my croissant landed in the puddle. :( Also just remembered I forgot to buy dishwasher tablets. Damn it.

I bought my daughter a vase. Gave it to my other daughter to take to her. It got broken en route. It was only £7.50 but I am disproportionately gutted that it never even made it out of the original packaging.

  2. It was packaged up really well - ‘someone’ has clearly not taken good enough care of it

I had to tell a netball player she couldn't play because her nails were too long, and I heard the usual "but I've just had them done!" Although she should have known better, her sad face broke my heart as she sat out like a naughty kid missing playtime, and watched her mates play.

I bought flowers in bud to make a bouquet for my wedding this week but they've not opened 😅

Put them in warm water, and close them in a warm room if you can. They'll open overnight. Have a lovely wedding!!

Bought a plastic kettle instead of a metal one by accident and, despite doing the whole boiling vinegar and lemon juice thing twice, it gives my tea a weird taste 😩

Last autumn I bought a beautiful Halloween mug with black cats on it and then accidentally smashed it a few days later, the shop had sold out when I went to get another one

Aah no @YorkshirePuddingsGreatestFanthe poor daddy long legs😭 nothing much to report today, I have just watched the Thursday Murder Club, I wasn't going to watch it as I prefer to keep the images in my mind from when I’ve read a book. I loved Ibrahim, Joyce and Stephen. Cooper’s Chase was all wrong. I’d give it a 3.5/10.

I’m a chocoholic. It’s a serious problem, but there’s nothing I can do about it. Now chocolate is so f-ing expensive I need to save up to buy my favourite bars. Even the disgusting, ‘cheap’ Sainsbury’s own brand is £2.50. At this rate I might have to find a dealer.

Have you tried any of the aldi bars? I think some of them are pretty nice and all are £2.30 or less. Might be worth a try?

I got into the shower this morning and then realised my towel was still downstairs in the tumble dryer after being washed yesterday. We do have other towels, but they're right at the top of the airing cupboard where only my giant teenager can reach them, and he was at the gym. I had to do a naked drippy run to the kitchen to fetch mine.

It was hot in my house the other night so I'd opened the back door and was sitting with a couple of candles lit.

A daddy long legs came in and before I could waft it away, it dive bombed the candle flame. It kind of made a high pitched wheeze noise.

I'm hormonal and I felt quite sad and upset for it!
