I’m 47 and it’s not this 😔

Um early 30s maybe - house owner, lots of nights out and holidays with friends, no dc. Not that I regretted dd coming along at all when she did. Otherwise turning 60 was scary but very liberating.

InOverMyHead84 · 24/08/2025 19:45

Early to mid twenties.

Had a good job, my own house, no actual major responsibilities and was fit enough to do anything I wanted.

It was bliss.

youalright · 24/08/2025 19:43

I'd say now mid 30s I just feel really settled and comfortable.

Crushed23 · 24/08/2025 19:39

Current age. 35. I literally can’t believe my luck half the time. And that’s with work being an absolute shit show this year. I’m so so happy and so so grateful. 😊

28 is a close second. That was the year I got over the worst heartache of my life and ‘found myself’ (I know, I know “🤮”).

Onefortheroad25 · 24/08/2025 19:38

17/18. Just finished school and having so much fun. 46 now😕

reversegear · 24/08/2025 19:37

What a hard question, I’ve loved all my years up until 45 when life went a bit to shit, surgey, peri, covid, parent dying during Covid like a massive perfect storm that’s taken me 5 years to get back on track mentally and physically but I still feel very different.

So 0-45 for me and I’m feeling hopeful for my 50+ years an hoping this was just a run of shit luck.

Im excited for aging and enjoying travel and adventures while I still have my health.

cardibach · 24/08/2025 19:33

I’m 60. I’m not ruling out that it’s still to come.

arcticpandas · 24/08/2025 19:25

0-10. Parents divorced at 11 and downhill ever since. No, I'm slightly exagerating but I had happy first 10 years of my life when I believed that the world was a great place to be in and that most people were kind and that everything was possible. I think I became quite cynic at 11 and more so at 45.

Scar88 · 24/08/2025 19:24

Probably now (mid 30's). My kids are 8+ my career is going well. Me and DH are happy and life seems harmonised. My 20's was a struggle of being skint all the time, pregnancies, feeling unfulfilled etc...

Friendlygingercat · 24/08/2025 19:21

Definately my 20s. I had just left my parents home and got my own place and been promoted to professional grade. I had a wardrobe full of the latest fashions, holidays twice a year and plenty of money for socialising. Happy days.

MummyJ36 · 24/08/2025 19:09

I liked being 30. I didn’t have any strong feelings about turning 30 but once I did I suddenly felt like I had my life together. I had my DC1 at 31 and that was quite a huge life change that took a good year or two to get used to. But that sweet spot at 30 was dreamy!

ImWearingPantaloons · 24/08/2025 19:08

Any part of my 20s - had energy to work and have a social life, nothing hurt and the future seemed bright!!

ThreePointOneFourOneFiveNine · 24/08/2025 19:07

Some time in my early forties. Kids were younger. I didn’t realise it was so good at the time because neither of mine is a good sleeper, but honestly I wish I could go back to a time when kids not sleeping was my biggest problem.

early 20s when just got with DH, and mid 30s when we had our baby. Possibly even now; in the throws of perimenopause. My parents are still alive (although ageing), and I’ve got a happy family: a lovely husband and child, a lovely home, a decent job, some savings, money to do things that we want (nothing extravagant), good friends, and lots of books to read. And I’m so grateful for it all

Yeah, I agree - 19 was really good! I'd left school, was taking a gap year, no responsibilities, young, attractive, fit, happy and carefree for the most part. Had a really sexy boyfriend and an easy job, I was loving living overseas ... happy days!

Heyyoupleasekeepgoing · 24/08/2025 18:54

34 when I had my daughter

Mermaidsarereal · 24/08/2025 18:53

29 for me... don't think it had anything to do with my age it was just a really great year for me!

exhaustedbeinghappy · 24/08/2025 18:51

I remember thinking when I was 19, that I loved being that age. Old enough not be seen as a ‘young’ but also young enough iyswim - ah that was a VERY long time ago (1989!)
